The Accounts Payable Specialist supports accurate and timely processing of company financial obligations. Therole reviews invoices, maintains vendor records, resolves payment discrepancies, and ensures transactions comply with established accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements. The specialist works closely with vendors, employees, Procurement, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to support efficient accounts payable operations and continuous process improvement.
 

 What you will be doing:

• Execute the accounts payable process accurately and in time.
• Review, validate and process vendor invoices & payment requests accurately and within established service-level timelines.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, receipts, contracts, and supporting documentation, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Ensure timely input of data into the system.
• Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries regarding invoice status, payment timing, account balances, and documentation requirements.
• Maintain accurate vendor master data and supporting records in accordance with company policies, tax requirements, and internal controls.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, reporting, audit requests, and outstanding invoice reviews.
• Ensure adherence to authorized signature list approvals and purchasing cycle policies.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.

• Proficiency in Excel
• Excellent problem-solving, time-management and organizations skills; must be able to prioritize workload
• Professional, efficient and detail-oriented
• Basic Accounting knowledge a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• 1+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience working with an ERP or financial management system preferred.
