Accountant (1 year)

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is based in our Bucharest, Romania office and requires 5 days office presence.

Key responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure timely and high-quality customer invoicing and prepare reports required for sales forecasting and estimation.
• Review employee expense reports and provide backup support for postings in the absence of the Office Assistant.
• Retrieve and process bank statements.
• Perform customer and vendor account reconciliations.
• Manage administrative tasks, including archiving primary accounting documents, company records, and fiscal statements.
• Execute manual payments as required, including tax payments, vendor advance payments, and exceptional vendor payments outside the standard automated payment run process.
• Review and validate vendor payment run proposals.
• Prepare monthly statistical reports.
• Compile trial balance reports from multiple Excel sources for statutory reporting purposes.
• Manage and respond to the Finance general mailbox.
• Collaborate with local country teams and other stakeholders to obtain relevant information and ensure timely action where required.
• Ensure compliance with global and local financial controls and policies.
• Support the monthly financial close process and completion of monthly Archer controls.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing the required supporting documentation.
• Perform additional tasks and ad hoc activities as assigned.
• Complete all assigned deliverables and responsibilities within agreed timelines, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and requests.

We are looking for

• Finance/Accounting degree.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in multinational companies, with Accounts Receivable exposure.
• Experience in the field of logistics and warehousing (advantage).
• SAP knowledge and Romanian Financial legislation will be an advantage.
• Advanced Excel is a must.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
