With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs, but also subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized facilities, apparatus, models, and analytics. These differentiate KLA not only in WHAT we do, but also in HOW we do it.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities
1.    Software development activities using object-oriented programming languages on Windows or Linux.
2.    Follow KLA product development processes, and work on all aspects of software project including requirement definition, design, development, deployment, and customer support.
3.    Collaborate with global teams to deliver software solutions for KLA metrology, inspection, and data analytics products.
4.    Domestic and international travel to other KLA sites and customer sites on a needed basis.

Qualifications
1.    Computer science, software engineering and related technical fields (electronics, physics, automation, mathematics, etc.), BS or above.
2.    Experience on one or more of following object-oriented programming languages: C/C++, C#, Java, PHP, Python, LabView, JavaScript.
3.    Data structures, algorithms, multithread programming, object-oriented analysis/design and programming are essential. 
4.    Knowledge of network, database management, architecture, design patterns, automated unit test and software development process is preferred.
5.    Excellent analytical and problem-solving and software debugging abilities.
6.    Fluent English, good communication, teamwork, dedication, hardworking, and high-quality.
 

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
