The Role.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Chief of Staff with a strong technical background to oversee operations and coordinate projects within our engineering organization. This role requires a highly organized individual with a deep engineering knowledge. You will join a small, dynamic team and lead efforts as the key liaison between the CTO and engineers. This is a unique title for a role, we didn’t know what to call it. Truth is, if you are the right candidate we can decide to call this role whatever you want. What You'll Be Doing.

Skills, Requirements, and Qualifications.

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Background as an engineer, or in a cross-functional technical role such as a technical product manager at an early-stage company.
• Experience in a customer-facing or stakeholder-facing role.
• Experience writing code, either professionally or as a hobby/side project.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, including networking, security, and automation.
• Experience with Go, NextJS, ReactJS, JavaScript (ES6+), Chakra UI, RESTful APIs, Git.
• Experience with developing applications in Typescript/Javascript, Python, and/or Go.
• Bonus points for managing external-facing developer docs.

We are looking for a talented Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team with experience working with infrastructure and network architecture design . In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our AI-driven platform. • BS or MS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience required
• 4+ years experience in software development and writing very high quality code that is robust and easy to maintain

The Role.

We are seeking a Data Engineer with expertise in building and maintaining robust data pipelines and integrating scalable infrastructure. You will join a small, talented team and play a critical role in designing and optimizing our data systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility. Your contributions will directly support our mission to position Grass as a key player in the evolution of data-driven innovation on the internet.

Who You Are.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Extensive experience with database systems such as Redshift, Snowflake, or similar cloud-based solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with optimizing complex queries for performance.
• Hands-on experience with building and managing data pipelines using tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, or similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and best practices for data integration.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for managing data ecosystems.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java for pipeline orchestration and data manipulation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve data flow issues.
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) technologies for data infrastructure deployment.

We are seeking Policy and Advocacy Lead to champion our interests with policymakers in the U.S. and globally. As part of a small, dynamic team, you will drive engagement with legislators and regulators, track policy and regulatory developments affecting Grass, advocate for our priorities, and cultivate partnerships with mission-aligned organizations.

Skills, Requirements and Qualifications.

• Advanced degree (JD, MPP, or Master’s in International Relations or Political Science) or equivalent work experience.
• Experience across any combination of government relations, public affairs, legislative or regulatory environments, and policy advocacy.
• Deep understanding of emerging technology trends and their intersection with policy and regulation.
• Well-established relationships with policymakers and regulators, primarily in the U.S.
• Proven ability to build coalitions and partnerships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and strategic thinking skills.
