As a Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in ensuring Xapo meets its UK regulatory obligations. You will be instrumental in supporting the business with its UK regulatory applications and ongoing compliance with the UK’s legal and regulatory framework. A key part of this role will be to collaborate effectively with other key functions and to advise on the structuring and ongoing compliance of new product rollouts. You will be responsible for supporting our legal team particularly in the areas of conducting research, reviewing documentation, contracts, engagement terms, analysing complex legal information and summarising findings in clear, concise reports. You’ll work alongside the Head of Investments to source, assess, structure, and monitor BTC lending opportunities. You will be involved in structuring investment solutions and assisting with day to day operations in the investment team.  Expect a fast, analytical, and highly collaborative environment with significant exposure to external counterparties.

About the Role

Xapo is looking for a proactive and highly skilled Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) & Compliance Officer to join our global team. The MLRO & Compliance Officer will work as an integral part of our global Compliance team, leveraging the broader organisation and resources to ensure that we maintain an effective compliance monitoring, anti-money laundering and advisory program and meet all of our regulatory compliance and AML obligations.
