About The Role

WEKA is looking for a driven Regional Sales Manager focused on the U.S. Air Force and Space Force. This is a quota-carrying hunter sales role targeting organizations that need uncompromising speed, simplicity, scale, and sustainability when storing, managing, processing, and analyzing their data.

Responsibilities Include:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of WEKA and the value to our customers
• Develop and execute against a strategic plan to create a sales pipeline while acquiring new logos/programs and maintaining positive ongoing relationships with current customers

The East regional Sales Engineer will join our rapidly growing sales organization. As a Professional Services, Sr. Solutions Architect at WEKA, you will be responsible for delivering enterprise-class solutions and services to our customers and partners worldwide. You will become an integral and critical component of the delivery and installation process for WEKA Products, including navigating our customers through the initial onboarding steps into WEKA. The Senior Professional Services Engineer at WEKA will not only plan and install our products but also define, develop, and test automation to ensure that the deployment of our products is a fast, predictable, scalable, and easy experience for customers and partners.  You will be focused on our customers in Asia Pacific and Japan.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for relationships with WEKA Sales, Pre-Sales, Engineering, Product Management, other internal groups, customers, and partners worldwide. You’ll work with diverse customers across many industries and environments across different enterprise verticals and sectors, implementing AI, HPC, and other state-of-the-art WEKA environments, both on-prem or public cloud. The Senior Professional Services Engineer is responsible for structured and unstructured tasks, focusing on assisting customers in achieving their objectives.

Responsibilities include: 

• Responsible for the experience between the sale of the WEKA product to a full deployment to a production stage, ensuring customers have a positive experience throughout the Onboarding process.
• Manages the project of installing the WEKA product, including risk assessment, planning, deployment scheduling, and reporting status to our customers and partners
• Responsible for documentation of solution details, including diagrams and specifications, focusing on translating undefined requirements into end-end solutions.
• Utilizes open-source technologies and tools to accomplish specific use cases encountered within the project.
• Uses coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve a problem with a custom workflow.
• Collaborates with project stakeholders to scope the most effective way to tackle complex technological infrastructure challenges.
• Performs incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize human errors.
• Primary responsibilities will include deploying and managing AI/HPC infrastructure in Linux-based environments for new and existing customers.

Desired Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong focus on customer experience
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including excellent documentation skills
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations within Enterprise environments, focusing on mission-critical infrastructure
• Experience with automation tools/cluster management such as Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Bright, Jenkins, or xcat.
• Knowledge and experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Perl.
• Experience with Source Code Control Systems like GitHub and git
• Experience with Ethernet or InfiniBand networking, particularly 100+Gb networks 
• Experience with performance monitoring/tuning Linux systems 
• Experience with HPC environments, including knowledge of HPC cluster management tools 
• Experience with Parallel Filesystems (Lustre, GPFS/SpectrumScale, DDN)
• Familiar with SDS (Software Defined Storage)
• Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience as a Linux Systems Administration
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent working experience 
• Strong interpersonal skills for technical presentations, architectural designs, and being a trusted advisor to customers (experience in sales, consulting, or Customer Success)
• Provides ad-hoc knowledge transfers, develops handover materials, and guides customers during deployments. 
• Willingness to travel as needed.

What you'll be doing:

As a Senior Designated Services Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring WEKA's Customer Success, contributing to our five-star Gartner reviews. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and top-tier customers, providing technical expertise and strengthening customer relationships.

Collaborating closely with Account Teams, you will gain deep insight into customers' business requirements, technical needs, and system environments. Your role involves resolving technical issues, bridging gaps between customers and Engineering, and ensuring the highest level of service.

As a Senior Designated Services Engineer, you’ll

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and Engineering to address feature gaps, reliability concerns, and documentation improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating to Engineering when necessary.
• Provide feedback to Engineering to enhance product supportability, usability, and serviceability.
• Support pre-sales engineers, partners, and resellers with technical expertise.
• Proactively monitor WEKA systems using remote monitoring tools to identify and address potential issues.
• Own, track, and document customer issues via the ticketing system.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing through internal and customer-facing documentation (FAQs, KB articles).
• Manage multiple projects and support cases concurrently.
• Advocate for customer concerns and represent WEKA externally.
• Develop subject matter expertise in WEKA and customer technologies.
• Participate in on-call, follow-the-sun support rotations as needed.
• Availability for alternative work hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and potential regional/international travel.

Requirements:

• 10+ years in customer-facing technical roles, solving complex enterprise infrastructure issues.
• Ability to diagnose hardware failures, network congestion, and performance bottlenecks.
• Enterprise infrastructure L3 or higher support experience (Linux-based storage, networking, virtualization, cloud, etc.).
• Strong technical troubleshooting in multi-platform, distributed environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed storage systems.
• Expertise in Linux/Unix administration.
• Deep understanding of networking (Infiniband, Ethernet, DPDK, UCX), cloud computing, and distributed storage.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and experience with automation scripting for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of POSIX, NFS, S3 protocols, log management, and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).

It's nice if you have:

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Slack, and other collaboration tools.
• Experience collaborating between customer support and product development teams.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Containers, LXC, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP).
• Prior experience managing large-scale HPC clusters.
• Strong technical writing skills and a creative approach to problem-solving.

USA Residents Only: The OTE hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $140,000 - $195,000  Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. About the Role:

The Director of Commodity Management & NPI is responsible for leading WEKA’s supplier strategy, cost structure, and hardware readiness across key component categories, including SSDs, memory, and networking. This leader will own long-term supplier partnerships, roadmap alignment, cost models, and KPI development to ensure optimal availability, quality, and competitiveness in a dynamic market.

They will also drive strategic oversight of WEKA’s NPI pipeline, partnering cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations to manage program timelines, risk, and execution. By combining deep domain expertise with operational discipline, the Director will help shape WEKA’s market agility, influence hardware innovation, and ensure new products launch seamlessly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of the supply chain strategies across multiple commodities. Focus on ssd’s, memory products and networking.  
• Partnership with key suppliers - roadmap reviews, communication of NPI activities, etc 
• Management of NPI processes that related to Operations. Partner with integration partners to ensure product availability and quality 
• Communication across the company on key activities related to supply chain and NPI projects. Strong communication skills are a must.  
• Collaboration with engineering and product management on supplier trends, roadmaps and cost models 
• Management of supplier performance and cost models. Consistent focus on driving down costs in a challenging market. 
• Development of KPI’s with key suppliers
• Management of multiple NPI programs - project timeline management and cross functional management within projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations or related topic.  
• 10+ years related experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, or related field. 
• Domain knowledge expertise in data storage, ssd and memory markets.
• Experience with start-up’s - ability to work in unstructured environments and knows how to put in “just enough” processes. 
• Ability to work cross functionally with sales, finance, engineering and product teams. 
• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate at all levels in the company
