Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking a Head of Office Management to lead a dynamic team and oversee the day-to-day functioning of the firm's office environment. Successful applicants will be strategic thinkers and self-starters who can drive initiatives, build scalable processes, and contribute meaningfully across the firm. We are looking for someone with strong leadership instincts, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a high standard for quality and detail.
Prior experience managing office operations is required, ideally within a professional services or financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of building and leading teams, owning programs end-to-end, and maintaining a high-quality office environment in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Office Management team, setting clear goals, providing coaching, and managing day-to-day priorities.
Own the strategy and execution of office management programs and initiatives that support a productive, organized, and welcoming work environment.
Oversee front-office hospitality operations, ensuring a consistently professional experience for clients, visitors, and employees.
Work with HR to plan and manage the employee events and activities calendar, including morale-building initiatives, team recognition programs, and firm-wide gatherings.
Develop, document, and refine office management processes and policies to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment with firm standards.
Partner with HR to administer employee feedback mechanisms, including surveys and listening channels, to surface insights and drive improvements to the office experience.
Partner cross-functionally with senior leadership to align office management with broader firm priorities.
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Base Salary: $110k-$180k per year, depending on experience. Actual offer will reflect your specific skills, years of relevant experience, and fit for the role. It is unlikely that all new hires will start at the top of this range.

Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking a Head of Facilities to oversee workplace infrastructure and facilities operations across our global office footprint. This role will lead day-to-day facilities management, capital improvements, vendor oversight, and on-site problem solving to ensure our offices operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
We are looking for a leader who is operationally strong and comfortable being hands-on when needed. The ideal candidate can both manage vendors and roll up their sleeves to troubleshoot and resolve issues directly.
Responsibilities:
Oversee facilities operations across headquarters and international office locations, ensuring safe, well-maintained, and fully functional work environments
Lead office buildouts, renovations, and capital improvement initiatives; define scope, coordinate contractors, review bids, and monitor project execution
Serve as the primary escalation point for facilities issues; troubleshoot building systems and resolve problems directly when appropriate
Establish and maintain consistent facilities standards, policies, and service expectations across the global office footprint
Perform light repairs and hands-on maintenance where practical, while determining when to engage external vendors
Oversee and coordinate cleaning, HVAC, security, maintenance, and inspection vendors; ensure strong service levels and accountability
Maintain building systems including access control, security infrastructure, conference room technology coordination, and fire/life safety equipment
Partner with Accounting on forecasting and capital planning related to facilities improvements
Ensure compliance with building codes, fire safety requirements, physical security standards, and local regulatory obligations
Lead emergency preparedness planning and respond to urgent facilities-related incidents
Track and report facilities metrics (cost per square foot, vendor performance, project timelines, utilization) and drive continuous improvement
Partner with People Operations, Office Management, and Operations leadership to align space planning with workforce needs
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in facilities management, commercial property operations, construction management, or related field
Experience managing multi-location office environments preferred
Strong working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, access control, life safety)
Comfortable performing light repairs and hands-on troubleshooting when appropriate
Experience overseeing buildouts or renovation projects
Demonstrated vendor coordination and contract oversight experience
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Clear communicator able to work effectively with executives, employees, and external vendors
High ownership mentality and comfort operating in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
Compensation:
Base salary: $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience. Actual offer will reflect your specific skills, years of relevant experience, and fit for the role. It is unlikely that all new hires will start at the top of this range.
