Position Overview:
The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for generating new business for Verra Mobility and growing the company’s sales pipeline. The ability to create territory plans, leverage partnerships and relationships with peers and consultants while building on already established relationships is essential. The Strategic Account Executive will work to win and close new logo contracts, as well as win expansion opportunities at existing accounts in their territory. The position will also be responsible for developing their sales funnel to generate new demand for Verra Mobility solutions. Perseverance, follow-up, and relationship building are important, as is multitasking, because multiple opportunities need to be cultivated simultaneously. An effective Strategic Account Executive for Verra Mobility will have the ability to help the customer develop an understanding of how our products will enhance safety/mobility in their community.
What You'll Do
- Navigate complex government procurement processes, including selling large‑scale programs to state and local governments and partnering effectively with lobbyists
- Identify, qualify, and pursue high‑value sales opportunities through proactive prospecting and pipeline generation
- Own the end‑to‑end procurement process, including setting expectations, aligning stakeholders, and driving deals forward
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through onsite visits and ongoing engagement
- Communicate clearly and consistently with senior leadership, leveraging CRM tools for visibility and reporting
- Develop and contribute to compelling sales narratives and key messaging for proposals and RFP responses
- Close long‑term revenue agreements across both new customer acquisition and account expansion
- Confidently engage and build relationships with public‑sector leaders, including Mayors, City Council members, City Managers, and school district leadership
- Design and execute effective market strategies tailored to your assigned territory
- Maintain accurate and timely sales reporting in accordance with company documentation and CRM requirements
- Support the development of sales collateral and represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and trade events
- Utilize registered owner and vehicle data to support sales and market development effort
What You'll Need
- Bachelors degree or equivalent working experience in a strategic sales role
- Minimum 8+ years SaaS / solution selling
- Government / Public Sector experience preferred
- Consistent performance to sales quota
- Team player with an appropriate sense of urgency
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Deep facilitation, problem solving, consensus building and issue resolution skills
- Required to travel independently locally and / or regionally.
- Successful completion of NLET fingerprinting background check
