About the Role

Twitch's Enterprise Platform & Technology (EPT) organization is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE 3) to architect, build, and operate software systems that power enterprise functions across Twitch and Amazon. This is a hands-on engineering role — you'll write production code, own team-level architecture, and lead multi-engineer projects from design through deployment and operations.

The problems you'll solve don't come with a predefined technology strategy. The business direction is understood — the how is up to you. You'll design and deliver solutions using AWS-native services and AI/agentic patterns, working across domains like Finance, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing. You'll iterate fast, ship incrementally, and raise the engineering bar for your team through exemplary code, pragmatic design, and mentorship. We need someone who builds, not just advises. You own the architecture and the code.

You can work in San Francisco, CA; Irvine, CA; or Seattle, WA.

You Will:

• Lead projects requiring work from multiple engineers — owning end-to-end design, integration of parallel work, and delivery across the full software lifecycle (design, implementation, testing, deployment, operations)
• Own team-level architecture for enterprise systems, providing system-wide design guidance and ensuring solutions are cohesive, extensible, and secure
• Build and operate production applications on AWS-native services (Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Bedrock, S3, CDK, API Gateway, etc.)
• Design and deliver AI-powered and agentic workflows that ship to production — automating business processes, reducing toil, and accelerating delivery
• Define agentic architecture patterns and establish best practices for building, testing, and operating AI systems in production — setting the engineering standard for how the team builds with AI
• Design and build data pipelines, data lake integrations, and data models that enable clean, reliable data flows across enterprise systems
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices on your team; set a culture of robust software development through exemplary code, design reviews, and operational rigor
• Actively mentor and coach other engineers, helping them grow their technical skills and independence
• Proactively simplify systems, resolve architecture deficiencies, and reduce operational burden — identifying one-way-door decisions and advocating for the right long-term solutions
• Communicate technical designs and decisions effectively in writing; develop an understanding of problems that lets you explain them to others in simple, concise terms

You Have:

• 5+ years of software development experience shipping production systems
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building AI/ML-powered systems deployed to production
• Experimentation with agentic architectures is necessary. And production launch is a 
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java)
• Experience designing and building applications using AWS-native services — not just deploying vendor software on cloud infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects involving multiple engineers, owning architecture decisions and integration of parallel work
• Experience designing and building data pipelines, data models, or data lake systems
• Track record of shipping incrementally — prototyping, validating, iterating, and delivering frequently
• Strong written communication skills; ability to produce technical design documents that create alignment with peers and technical leadership
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with multiple risks and roadblocks, delivering solutions that are as simple as possible

Bonus Points

• Experience across AI/ML engineering and data engineering practices (5+ years combined)
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow) as a consumer or integrator
• Experience with security standards and compliance frameworks (SOC2, SOX, GDPR)
• Experience working in enterprise domains such as Finance, Customer Service, Sales, or Marketing
• Mobile development experience (iOS, Android, or cross-platform)

About the Role

Twitch’s End User Services team is on the hunt for an IT & AV Support Engineer to be the technical heartbeat of our San Francisco office. This is a fully on-site role in San Francisco, CA where IT and AV collide - and we’re looking for someone who’s just as comfortable debugging a network issue as they are running a flawless live All Hands stream.

You’ll be the go-to technical force on the ground, keeping day-to-day IT running smoothly while leveling up the AV experience for meetings, events, and everything in between. From quick desk-side fixes to high-visibility company moments, you’ll play a key role in making sure everything just works - and works well.

You’ll report to our AV & IT Sr. Manager and collaborate across teams to keep our systems strong, our events seamless, and our employees well supported. This is a role for someone who doesn’t just fix problems - you spot patterns, get ahead of issues, and build solutions that make them disappear for good.

You Will:

• Drive operational excellence by constructively identifying root causes and system patterns, and delivering high-quality, efficient technology solutions that eliminate recurring issues
• Act as the first point of escalation for complex IT and AV issues in the region, troubleshooting difficult difficult problems without existing SOPs and determining when to manage the issue independently or escalate appropriately
• Mentor and coach new peers on IT best practices, audit the quality of work performed by team members and vendors, and provide constructive feedback
• Automate manual tasks; create/improve small software tools to minimize manual effort and increase productivity
• Manage and execute large IT and AV projects for the region, accelerating progress by driving timely decisions, identifying and mitigating risks, and communicating status to stakeholders
• Create, review, and optimize SOPs, knowledge base articles, and user documentation, ensuring clear process steps are defined for others to solve similar problems
• Provide expert, comprehensive IT support (hardware, software, networking, onboarding, account administration) for Twitch employees across Mac and Windows environments, managing the full employee device lifecycle: provisioning, imaging, deployment, and offboarding
• Own the end-to-end AV experience for company events, including All Hands, managing setup, live operation, and teardown, and ensuring seamless hybrid meeting environments
• Manage and maintain AV systems (displays, cameras, audio equipment, switchers, streaming hardware) and administer core SaaS tools (Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, ServiceNow)

You Have:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in an IT Support or AV Engineering role, demonstrating autonomy and strategic decision-making
• Mastery of Enterprise IT Environments: Advanced troubleshooting and subject-matter expertise in:
  • macOS and Windows 10/11
  • Office IT infrastructure, including networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi) and endpoint management
• Advanced AV & Live Production Mastery: Hands-on expertise in the end-to-end event stack:
  • Setting up, operating, and managing company All Hands and live events
  • Strong knowledge of live streaming and broadcast tools (OBS, vMix, hardware encoders) and video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Webex)
  • Experience in installing and configuring conference room equipment
• Expertise in Specialized AV Infrastructure, including high-level knowledge of AV hardware/software, AV over IP, Dante-enabled products, and QSC/Q-SYS programming.
• Strong interpersonal skills: Demonstrated ability to navigate competing priorities, build trust with internal stakeholders, and manage relationships with external vendors to ensure seamless project delivery
• Strong communication skills: Ability to distill complex technical issues into clear and concise communication for all audiences—including technical peers, executive stakeholders, and end-users. You are adept at providing exemplary customer service while supporting our users.
• Demonstrated project ownership and management experience, including prioritizing demands, scoping large efforts, negotiating timelines, and following through to resolution
• Operational Readiness: Comfortable with the physical requirements of the role (lifting equipment, running cable, setting up event spaces) and willing to work outside standard hours for critical events (early mornings, evenings, occasional weekends)

• Familiarity with the Twitch platform
• Certifications in AV (Q-sys Level 1+, CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D) and/or Networking (e.g., CCNA, CWNA)

About the Role

As a data engineer in the Data Platform organization, you will be transforming Twitch’s largest data sets into offerings that are usable by the entire company. You’ll be working with other senior team members, as well as other data engineers, scientists, and stakeholders from all across the business. You will help define how our core business metrics are managed, as well as how other parts of the company define their individual metrics.

You Will:

• Work closely with data scientists and engineers from across the company to define and create robust data architectures and pipelines
• Develop and manage scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
• Partner with a range of stakeholders to translate the company’s needs into data offerings
• Automate data processing and reporting workflows to improve efficiency and data integrity
• Implement data quality checks and monitor processes to maintain high data accuracy
• Simplify and enhance the accessibility, clarity, and usability of large and complex datasets through the development of data cubes and data sharing solutions

You Have:

• 3+ year of experience working in a data engineering, data science, or software engineering capacity
• Expertise in writing and maintaining robust data pipelines in SQL and Python
• A track record of turning data requirements from stakeholders into actionable plans
• Experience with cloud-native solutions
• A history of implementing and upholding best practices in data pipelines, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability
