Manager, EHS Management Systems

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Manager – EHS Management Systems for our Corporate EHS Compliance team.

This highly motivated, driven individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining management systems applicable to Triumvirate’s operations.

This position reports to the Corporate Director, Compliance Assurance, Systems, and Programs. This role is onsite and is based in Boston, MA. Hybrid work from the Boston region may be approved on a case by case basis.  

Essential responsibilities:

Management System Development & Implementation:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of an integrated management system framework for Triumvirate, including ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management). Experience developing Integrated Management System (IMS) is preferred.
• Develop and maintain management system documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure that management systems align with Triumvirate’s Corporate needs, client needs, and comply with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.

 Compliance & Certification:

• Coordinate with third-party certification bodies and prepare for client management system related audits.
• Manage audit preparation, follow-up, and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Monitor changes to industry standards and ensure that management systems are updated accordingly.

 Continuous Improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within management systems to enhance quality performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct internal audits and gap assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with management system standards.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

 Client & Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their management system requirements.
• Provide training and support on management system standards and principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, to ensure management systems are integrated into business operations. 

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare and present reports on system performance, audit results, and improvement initiatives to senior management and clients.
• Maintain records and documentation related to management systems, certifications, audits, and non-conformances.

Basic Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Integrated Management Systems, EHS Management Systems, ISO Management Systems, Quality Management Systems, or similar roles.
• Proven track record of managing ISO certification processes (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Experience conducting internal audits and managing external audits by certification bodies.
• Familiarity with management system principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Strong understanding of ISO standards and quality management systems.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
•  Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex topics.
• Proficient in developing and conducting training.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification for ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is highly desirable.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification is a plus.

Material Handler

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Material Handler for our Somerville, MA team. 

You will join a team as dedicated to your career as you are. This highly motivated and customer service-focused professional individual will be responsible for working on site at the client by helping them manage their hazardous waste programs mainly including medical waste material.

Responsibilities: 

• Safe pick-up of all regulated medical waste and materials from client sites, also including lab plastics and pathological waste
• Use of Triumvirate's computerized waste tracking system
• Preparation of all necessary documentation for the pick-up and drop-off of waste
• Understand OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices
• Collaborate effectively with coworkers in a team environment, while also being able to work independently when needed
• Working closely with the client on site for ensuring timely and smooth waste removal

Basic Requirements:

Chemical Inventory Specialist

Responsibilities: 

• Manage hazardous material and chemical inventory programs for clients following Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other state and federal government agencies’ regulations
• Execute onsite support services for the entire lifecycle of a hazardous materials management programs at client sites by performing chemical inventories, segregating chemicals
• Train clients on proper chemical safety and hazardous materials inventory management
• Perform and document chemical inventory audits for clients in their facilities and laboratories using Triumvirate’s chemical inventory software program
• Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations as well as Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices
• Lead large and small chemical inventory programs. This includes:
  • Understanding project requirements
  • Execute the project plan to meet project goals
  • Perform chemical inventory data entry
  • Handle and inspect chemical bottles
  • Wear basic personal protection equipment in research lab setting

Basic Requirements: 

• Bachelors degree is required
• Proficiency in using software to enter data
• Interest in the environmental health & safety field
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as an individual

Information Technology Operations Manager

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Information Technology Operations Manager for our team in Somerville, MA to lead our helpdesk function and own day-to-day IT service delivery. This is a player-coach role: you will manage a team of 6 direct reports (primarily help desk analysts), and you will be hands-on when escalations, projects, or gaps demand it. You will report to the Associate Director of IT Operations.

This position reports to the Associate Director of IT Operations. This position will be fully onsite for the first 90 days. After 90 days, the position will follow a hybrid schedule approved by the manager and Human Resources. 

What success looks like:

• Predictable, reliable IT service delivery across a multi-site, multi-country footprint.
• A well-trained, accountable helpdesk team with clear ownership and defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Baseline operational metrics established, a published service delivery dashboard, and a regular cadence of data-oriented reviews with IT leadership.
• Escalations to senior leadership are infrequent and well-managed when they occur.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and develop the team. Mentor and coach IT staff with a focus on career growth, skill advancement, and succession planning for key roles.
• Own service delivery. Define SLAs, manage ticket queues, and run our ITSM platform day-to-day. Hold the team accountable to measurable standards.
• Measure and report. Build and maintain an IT operations dashboard. Publish metrics and trends to leadership on a regular basis.
• Administer the Microsoft stack. Oversee Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Entra, Teams, OneDrive, Intune) and Azure administration performed by the team; personally handle escalations and complex work.
• Manage endpoints and assets. Oversee Dell laptop lifecycle from procurement through retirement, Intune patching compliance, and licensing inventory.
• Evaluate tools and processes. Identify emerging tools and process improvements that drive efficiency, reliability, or cost savings. Keep it simple and scalable.
• Manage vendors. Oversee key vendor and contractor relationships.
• Communicate broadly. Interact clearly using written, verbal, and in-person communication with employees at every level and location.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years in IT Operations or helpdesk leadership, including direct people management.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and managing Windows endpoints via Intune.
• Experience with enterprise ITSM or ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Zendesk) including queue management, SLA configuration, and service delivery reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience supporting a distributed workforce across multiple US states and international sites.
• Exposure to Azure administration, Fortinet, or Ubiquiti networking.
• Microsoft certifications (MS-102 or equivalent).

As an EH&S Consultant, you will have a strong understanding of EH&S concepts, issues, challenges, and will be able to identify unmet issues and opportunities with resolutions, for current and new clients while ensuring the highest level of satisfaction. 

This service-oriented individual will be responsible for short- and long-term consulting and staff augmentation engagements.

Essential responsibilities:

• Support and conduct risk assessments of work areas, including laboratory areas, with hazardous or potentially hazardous processes as needed and/or requested.  Collaborate with research associates to implement control measures to lessen and/or mitigate risks associated with tasks.
• Measure occupational and environmental hazards, such as noise and ergonomics, using calibrated scientific equipment and/or collecting samples of dust, vapors, or gases according to a defined operating procedure.
• Measure the effectiveness of engineered control systems such as fume hoods.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections according to a defined procedure, evaluating the use and storage of hazardous materials, personal protective equipment, and safe work practices, according to applicable regulations. These inspections of the workplace will involve talking with workers and observing their work.
• Identify potential accidents and health hazards, such as toxic vapors, mold, mildew, and explosive gas-air mixtures and help implement appropriate control measures, such as adjustments to ventilation systems.
• Help investigate accidents and injuries, identifying causes and recommending remedial action.
• Communicate with Client personnel regarding workplace safety issues, recommending corrective actions.
• Conduct routine EHS safety trainings such as new employee orientation, hazard communication, and biological safety, without supervision.
• Write reports, including accident reports, and enter information on required Occupational Safety and Health Administration recordkeeping forms.
• Assist in the development of specific areas of occupational health and safety systems, including drafting or updating policies, procedures, and manuals.

Requirements:

• 1+ years' experience in an EH&S capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related scientific field, such as biology, chemistry, or engineering.
• Excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Problem solver with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Possess valid driver's license and personal vehicle.

Responsibilities: 

• Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including but not limited to 24’ box trucks, in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

• Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations as well as Triumvirate’s Health and Safety practices 
• Preparation of chemical and biological waste for shipment and disposal, including creation of all federal/state waste documents and managing the paperwork for the material.

• Conduct safety equipment and hazardous waste inspections.

About the Role

The Senior Director of Commercial Consulting Enablement is a senior commercial role that bridges our highly trained field sales organization and our consulting delivery teams. Approximately 70% of your time will be spent directly pursuing and closing complex, multi-service consulting engagements alongside field sellers. The remaining 30% will focus on enabling others: building playbooks, coaching sellers on discovery and qualification, developing pricing frameworks, and creating the tools and processes that make cross-selling consulting services systematic rather than opportunistic.

• Design and implement cross-sell playbooks, discovery frameworks, and qualification tools that enable field sellers to identify and advance consulting opportunities within existing accounts.
• Coach and train field sales professionals on consulting value propositions, pricing structures, and client-facing positioning across EHS compliance, operational excellence, industrial hygiene, and circularity service lines, including how to frame waste reduction and material recovery programs as self-funding initiatives with quantified ROI.
• Develop and maintain a pricing governance framework that balances consulting margins with total account value, ensuring pricing decisions reflect the economics of the full client relationship across all service lines.
• Partner with regional sales leaders and account managers to build account-specific cross-sell strategies for the firm's largest life sciences, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing clients.
• Manage the pipeline tracking and reporting system for consulting opportunities, providing weekly visibility to senior leadership on pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.
• Design and deliver sales enablement content including competitive positioning materials, ROI calculators, case studies, and proposal templates.
• Collaborate with embedded services leadership to create a systematic process for identifying consulting triggers from the 500+ on-site personnel working inside client facilities, including waste segregation improvement opportunities, circularity program gaps, and operational efficiency signals.
• Contribute to thought leadership, conference presentations, and marketing content that supports the firm's positioning in the life sciences consulting market.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in life sciences consulting, EHS consulting, operational excellence, or a related professional services discipline, with at least 5 years in senior commercial, sales enablement, or business development role.
• Demonstrated track record of enabling sales teams to cross-sell or upsell consulting services into existing client relationships, with measurable revenue impact.
• Experience building commercial infrastructure: playbooks, pricing frameworks, pipeline systems, and training programs.
• Strong understanding of life sciences, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or healthcare client environments and the regulatory and operational landscape that governs them.
• Personal business development track record, with experience closing multi-site or enterprise-level consulting engagements.

About the Role

The Consulting Commercial Leader is a senior consulting leader who both wins and oversees delivery of complex consulting engagements for clients in life sciences, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing. You will carry a personal book of business targeting $3 million or more in annual revenue while leading the delivery of multi-site, multi-disciplinary consulting programs at scale.

Essential Responsibilities

• Build and manage a personal book of consulting business, targeting $3 million or more in annual revenue through a combination of new business development and expansion of existing client relationships.
• Oversee the delivery of complex, multi-site consulting engagements including compliance program assessments, operational excellence initiatives, safety program development, industrial hygiene evaluations, environmental permitting support, and circularity advisory services such as waste characterization studies, waste stream optimization, green laboratory certifications, and multi-year material recovery programs designed with quantified savings and clear payback periods.
• Develop and execute multi-million dollar consulting programs that span multiple client sites, disciplines, and years, managing large-scale engagements with the rigor and structure expected in management consulting environments.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with VP-level and C-level EHS, operations, quality, and facilities leaders at pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and healthcare organizations.
• Collaborate with field sales professionals and account managers to identify and pursue consulting opportunities within Triumvirate's existing client base, leveraging the intelligence generated by on-site embedded personnel.
• Scope, price, and propose consulting engagements that reflect the full value of the client relationship, including circularity programs structured as self-funding initiatives with clear ROI, balancing project margins with the strategic importance of the account across all of Triumvirate's service lines.
• Manage engagement economics including staffing, utilization, scope control, and margin performance. Identify and mitigate scope creep early.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor consulting staff, building a team capable of delivering consistently high-quality work and growing into client-facing roles.
• Contribute to the development of standardized methodologies, proposal templates, and delivery frameworks that improve consistency and efficiency across the consulting practice.
• Represent Triumvirate at industry conferences and client events. Contribute to thought leadership through publications, presentations, and webinars.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in life sciences consulting, EHS consulting, operational excellence, or a related professional services discipline, with at least 5 years of direct business development and client management responsibility.
• Demonstrated track record of building and sustaining a personal book of business of $2 million or more annually.
• Experience developing and managing multi-million dollar consulting programs at enterprise scale, including multi-site, multi-year engagements with complex stakeholder environments.
• Technical depth in two or more of the following: occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, process safety, manufacturing process optimization, Lean/Six Sigma, operational excellence, or circularity and waste reduction.
• Experience delivering consulting services to clients in life sciences, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, or healthcare settings.

• Professional knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to CDC and NIH biosafety guidelines as they apply to infectious agents, recombinant DNA, and bloodborne pathogens.
• Demonstrated ability to apply core biosafety concepts, including criteria for establishing appropriate biosafety containment levels across diverse research and laboratory applications.

• Communicate with client personnel regarding workplace safety concerns and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Independently conduct routine EHS safety trainings, including new employee orientation, hazard communication, and powered industrial truck (fork truck) training.

• Assist in the development, drafting, and updating of occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and manuals.

Basic Qualifications:

• Measure the effectiveness of engineered control systems such as fume hoods.
• Participate in the inspection and examination of machinery and equipment, such as lifting devices, machine guards, or scaffolding.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections according to a defined procedure, evaluating the use of personal protective equipment, such as respirators, respirators, protective eyewear, or hardhats, according to applicable regulations. These inspections of the workplace will involve talking with workers and observing their work.
