Power Connector’s Operations Manager is critical in contributing to the fundamental changes that are transforming Power Connector. This position is instrumental in enhancing and strengthening our operations to enable the growth and development of the business by driving improvements in all operational functions, including production control and planning, material handling, manufacturing, and shipping and receiving. This position’s primary focus is to contribute and execute on the team’s strategic plans for operational optimization, expansion, and sustainability.

Power Connector’s Operations Manager is a dynamic, adaptable, open-minded problem solver with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. This position plays a key role in sustaining and increasing our current operational capacity and output through strategic planning and efforts in increasing efficiency and productivity in all operational disciplines.

This position enjoys the inherent challenges of sustaining and growing a business by increasing throughput, meeting shipment goals, balancing WIP and inventory, and optimizing financial metrics in a diverse and dynamic organization. This position has a strong influence on the fundamental principles guiding operational functionality and works closely with the Business Unit Director and Trexon corporate team to realize the company’s true operational potential.

Minimum Qualifications

 Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical project management
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
• Experience working in cross-functional environments

 Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycle management
• Understanding of quality systems, risk management, and compliance standards
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies

Job Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for engineering initiatives, including scope, schedule. Budget, and resource planning
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and deliverables
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost control
• Communicate project status, updates, and risks to leadership
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in project execution
• Support product development, process improvement as applicable
• Facilitate meetings and design reviews
• Align project deliverables with strategic business goals and engineering roadmaps
• Ensure proper documentation of all project phases, including technical specifications and lessons learned
• Ensure effective handoff from project completion to operations
• Lead or support audits, ensuring project documentation and processes meet internal and external requirements

Compensation
This position has a base salary of $80,000 - $90,000 annually

Position Summary 

The Program Manager plays a critical role in driving cross-functional alignment and execution across sales, operations, and engineering to support business growth and enhance customer satisfaction. This position serves as a central point of coordination for strategic programs, new business opportunities, and key customer initiatives.

The Program Manager ensures seamless communication, prioritization, and delivery across teams while optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and support the successful execution or organizational objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

 Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent)

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Program/Project Manager
• 3+ years of sales experience preferred

 Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain
• Coaching, developing, and managing sales teams
• ERP and Microsoft Office proficiency

Job Responsibilities

Business & Sales Support

• Partner with Business Manager and Business Development Manager to support strategic growth initiatives
• Manage new customer onboarding and identify opportunities for business expansion
• Maintain and support relationships with key customer accounts
• Serve as a customer-facing representative as needed to ensure a high level of service

Inside Sales Management

• Lead and oversee daily inside sales operations
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of quotes and customer orders
• Drive improvements in team efficiency, responsiveness, and overall performance

Operations & Supply Chain Coordination

• Collaborate with Production Manager to support material planning and availability
• Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors
• Lead initiatives to reduce costs and improve lead times
• Optimize inventory levels and establish effective reorder points

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Align production priorities with overall business objectives
• Ensure new product introductions (NPI) are aligned with sales and marketing priorities
• Identify and resolve cross-functional challenges to improve workflow and execution

Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives

• • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations and sales functions
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure accountability for results

The role comprises:

External Expediting

• Monitor and track progress of purchase orders while working with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials, components or services.
• Be the primary point of contact between the company and suppliers once a purchase order has been raised.
• Tracking of external order delays and working with planning assistant to ensure customers are provided with up-to-date delivery timelines for orders.
• Prioritisation of live orders with suppliers based where necessary.
• Maintain records of order status, delivery schedules and suppliers delays in order to create reports to review supplier performance.
• Use of SAGE 200 system to update PO delivery times.

Internal Expediting

• Liaising with Sales-Admin function to ensure the timeous provision of workflow to production.
• Reviewing internal workflow to identify any procurement gaps, liaising with the purchasing team to ensure gaps are closed.
• Reviewing of internal workflow with planning assistant to identify delays to customer orders, while working with operations team to find resolutions where possible.
• Filing, data entry and general admin duties.
• Raising purchase orders in line with production consumable requirements.
• Work alongside production and quality team to ensure weekly output targets and customer expectations are met.
