THRIVE STAFFING | NOW HIRING Physical Therapist They don’t need another temp. They need you. Charter Schools USA — Duval County, Florida | Full-Time W-2 Employee |
|
School-based PTs in Florida earn well below their clinical counterparts. We're here to close that gap. |
There are students across eight Charter Schools USA campuses in Duval County who are waiting for a consistent, skilled Physical Therapist — not a revolving door of short-term contractors who leave before they learn which kid needs a gait trainer and which one needs a sensory break before they can function in the gym. These students deserve someone who knows their history, who builds trust over time, and who shows up on Monday already thinking about what Tuesday's session will look like.
That's the kind of PT we're looking for. And we've built a compensation and support model designed to make sure you can be that person without sacrificing your own wellbeing, your finances, or your professional growth.
The average school-based PT salary in Florida sits around $56,000 — roughly 45% below what PTs earn in outpatient or home health settings. We think that's wrong. Our offer reflects the actual value of what you do.
THE POSITION
School: This position serves Charter Schools USA's eight Duval County campuses. Campus assignment — or a split schedule across sites — will be determined based on student caseload and your preference.
Start Date: SY26-27
Schedule: School day hours, Monday through Friday. Optional paid Extended School Year available.
Workload: Aligned to APTA best practice standards. We negotiate workload expectations with our school partners because your sustainability is what makes student outcomes possible.
Setting: K–12 charter schools serving diverse learners in a collaborative, supportive school environment

Port St. Lucie offers waterfront living, no state income tax, and a cost of living well below Miami or Orlando. A Thrive salary on the Treasure Coast buys a quality of life that most metro PTs can only dream about.
WHY W-2 CHANGES EVERYTHING
The staffing agencies that serve Duval County schools pay PTs $27–$35/hr as 1099 contractors — no benefits, no PTO, no stability. Those same agencies bill the schools $65–75/hr. The math isn't hard. The people doing the actual work are getting the smallest share of the value they create.
Thrive flipped the model:
✓ W-2 employment with full benefits — not a 1099 arrangement with a handshake
✓ Higher base pay than any staffing agency in the region
✓ We cover your employer taxes, your health insurance, and your professional dues
✓ A dedicated account manager who knows your campus and goes to bat for you
✓ A clinical community of PTs, OTs, SLPs, and BCBAs who meet regularly, share resources, and support each other
✓ When a workload becomes unsustainable, we step in. That’s not a slogan — it’s a structural commitment.
THE WORK THAT MATTERS
• Provide direct PT services to PK–12 students — gross motor development, mobility, balance, functional strength, postural support, and safe participation in school activities
• Conduct initial evaluations and triennial re-evaluations with the depth and care each child deserves
• Partner with classroom teachers and OTs to embed PT strategies into daily routines — making therapy part of school life, not separate from it
• Bring your clinical expertise to IEP meetings where your voice is valued and your recommendations are implemented
• Build the kind of trusting relationships with students and families that only come from consistency and commitment
• Be the person a child looks for when they walk through the door. That's the privilege of this work. We want to make sure the work is worthy of you in return.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Master's or doctoral degree (DPT preferred) in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program
• Active Florida PT license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• NPTE passage and licensure in good standing
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred — but new graduates are warmly welcomed with structured mentorship from a clinical lead who remembers what those first months feel like
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a meaningful plus — premium compensation applies
WHY THRIVE
•Workloads aligned to APTA best practice standards — because quality outcomes require sustainable conditions
•A company that sees you as a person first, a clinician second, and a line item never
•Professional development that's real: $750/year for CEUs, conferences, and materials, plus all licensure and FPTA dues covered
•A no non-compete policy. We believe if you stay, it should be because this is the best professional home you've ever had — not because a clause in a contract says you can't leave
•The chance to be part of something different. We're not a staffing agency that happens to care. We're a company built from the ground up on the belief that investing in providers is the only way to truly invest in students.

THRIVE STAFFING | NOW HIRING Occupational Therapist They don’t need another temp. They need you. Mid Cape Global Academy — Lee County, FL (Cape Coral) | Full-Time W-2 Employee |
|
Lee County just gave OTs a 5.25% raise. We’re offering 25–35% more than that. |
Mid Cape Global Academy is a school full of students who are waiting for a consistent, skilled Occupational Therapist — not a revolving door of short-term contractors who leave before they learn which kid needs a fidget tool and which one needs a bear hug. THRIVE STAFFING | NOW HIRING Occupational Therapist Your skills change lives. Your job should change yours. Escambia County, FL (Pensacola area) | Full-Time W-2 Employee |
|
W-2 from day one. Benefits from day one. A team that has your back from day one. |
There’s a moment in school-based OT that never gets old: a student who couldn’t hold a pencil in September is writing their name in December. A child who melted down every time the fire alarm rang is now navigating sensory challenges with strategies you taught them. A teenager who couldn’t button their own shirt is getting dressed independently for the first time.
That’s the work. It’s quiet, it’s patient, and it changes the trajectory of a child’s life. You already know this. What you may not know is that there’s a company willing to build an entire employment model around making sure you can keep doing it — sustainably, with support, and for pay that actually reflects what you bring to the table.
That company is Thrive.
THE POSITION
We’re hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to serve students at our partner school in Escambia County. You’ll join a team that values clinical judgment, respects your time, and understands that the best outcomes come from providers who aren’t running on fumes.
Start Date: SY26-27
Schedule: School day hours, Monday through Friday. Summers off with optional paid Extended School Year (ESY).
Workload: Aligned to AOTA best practice guidelines. We protect your ability to deliver quality services, not just check boxes.
Setting: School-based, serving a range of learners with fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, and functional skill needs

Pensacola offers an exceptional quality of life — beaches, a tight-knit community, and a cost of living well below South Florida. Your Thrive salary goes further here, and your commute probably involves a sunset.
THE W-2 DIFFERENCE
Here’s what typically happens in school-based OT staffing: an agency offers you a contract position with a decent hourly rate but no benefits, no PTO, no guarantee it lasts past winter break. You take it because you love working with kids. Then the contract doesn’t renew, or the agency cuts your hours, or you get reassigned to a campus 45 minutes away. It doesn’t have to be this way.
At Thrive, every provider is a W-2 employee:
✓ Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and sick leave
✓ Employer pays FICA, FUTA, workers’ comp, and unemployment insurance
✓ A dedicated account manager who knows your school, your students, and your name
✓ Clinical mentorship and a peer community of OTs, SLPs, and BCBAs who get it
✓ No non-compete. No bait-and-switch. If you stay, it’s because you want to.
THE WORK THAT MATTERS
• Provide direct OT services to students per their IEPs — fine motor development, sensory processing, self-care skills, handwriting, classroom participation
• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations with the care and thoroughness they deserve
• Collaborate with teachers and families to weave OT strategies into the fabric of a child’s school day — not just their therapy session
• Sit at the IEP table as a clinical expert whose voice carries weight
• Be the reason a child can open their lunch box, tie their shoes, or raise their hand in class for the first time
WHAT YOU BRING
• Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
• Active Florida OT license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• NBCOT certification (current or eligible)
• Experience with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred — new graduates are welcome and will receive structured mentorship from day one
• The kind of patience and creativity that turns a frustrating skill gap into a breakthrough moment
WHY THRIVE
• Workloads designed around what’s right for students and sustainable for you — aligned to AOTA best practice guidelines
• A company that intervenes when workloads become unreasonable. We have those hard conversations with school leadership so you can focus on the kids.
• Clinical community and professional development: $750/year for CEUs and conferences, plus NBCOT and licensure fees fully covered
• Stability. A schedule. A team. The kind of professional home that makes you want to come back next year — and the year after.

THRIVE STAFFING | NOW HIRING Speech-Language Pathologist Florida ranks #50 in SLP pay. We rank #1. Davenport, FL (Osceola/Polk County) | Full-Time W-2 Employee |
|
W-2. Benefits. A workload that lets you breathe. This is how it should have always been. |
You became an SLP because a child’s voice matters — their ability to express a need, tell a story, ask a question, make a friend. Somewhere between the paperwork and the caseload pressure and the contract renewals, it’s easy to lose sight of that. We want to give it back to you.
Florida ranks dead last in the nation for SLP compensation. That’s not just a statistic — it’s a daily reality for thousands of clinicians who chose this profession because they believe in the work, and who keep getting told the work doesn’t believe in them back. Students sit on waitlists. Providers burn out. Schools scramble. Nobody wins.
Thrive was built to break that cycle. We believe the only way to deliver life-changing outcomes for students is to invest deeply in the people who provide them. That means paying you what you’re worth, protecting your workload, and treating you as the clinical professional you are — not a contractor to be cycled through and replaced.
THE POSITION
We’re hiring a full-time, W-2 Speech-Language Pathologist to serve students at our partner school in Davenport, FL. You’ll work with a diverse group of learners who need your expertise — kids who are counting on someone showing up, staying, and caring enough to help them find their voice.
Start Date: SY26-27
Schedule: School day hours, Monday through Friday. Your evenings and weekends are yours.
Workload: Aligned to ASHA best practice standards. We advocate for workloads that allow you to deliver quality services, complete documentation thoughtfully, and still leave campus at a reasonable hour.
Setting: School-based, K–8, serving students with a range of communication needs
COMPENSATION — BEST IN FLORIDA. PERIOD.
We didn’t build our pay structure around “what the market will bear.” We built it around what it takes to attract and retain the best SLPs in the state — and then we added the benefits and support that should have been standard all along.

Our SLPs earn 20–30% more than the Florida average — as W-2 employees with full benefits. Not as 1099 contractors wondering if their assignment will exist next semester.
WHY W-2 MATTERS
Most school staffing companies classify providers as 1099 contractors. That means no health insurance, no PTO, no employer-paid taxes, no unemployment protection, and no real investment in your success. You’re a line item on a spreadsheet, not a member of a team.
At Thrive, every provider is a W-2 employee. Here’s what that means in practice:
✓ Employer-paid FICA, FUTA, and workers’ comp — you keep more of every paycheck
✓ Health, dental, and vision insurance effective your first day on campus
✓ Paid time off and paid sick leave — because taking care of yourself isn’t optional
✓ Unemployment protection if your assignment changes
✓ A company that sees your career as a relationship, not a transaction
THE WORK THAT MATTERS
This is the part you already know in your bones — the reason you went to grad school, survived your CF, and keep showing up:
• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students across the communication spectrum — articulation, language, fluency, pragmatics, AAC
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans that meet each child where they are
• Sit at the IEP table as a respected clinical voice — your expertise shapes decisions here
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and fellow clinicians to build a web of support around every student
• Watch a child say their name clearly for the first time. Watch a kindergartner finally ask for help instead of melting down. That’s the job. We just want to make sure you have the time and support to do it well.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program
• CCC-SLP from ASHA (Clinical Fellows also encouraged to apply — we provide structured supervision and mentorship)
• Active Florida SLP license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• A deep belief that every student deserves access to services — regardless of zip code, diagnosis, or waitlist
• Bilingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole) is a significant plus — premium compensation applies
WHY THRIVE
• Workloads aligned to ASHA best practice standards — not whatever the previous contractor agreed to tolerate
• A clinical community, not a staffing agency — monthly peer collaboration, a clinical lead who is a practicing SLP, and colleagues who understand your world
• We advocate for you with our school partners. If a workload becomes unmanageable, we have the conversation so you don’t have to carry it alone
• Professional development that’s real — $750/year for CEUs, conferences, materials, plus licensure and ASHA dues fully covered
• No non-compete clauses. We earn your loyalty by being a place worth staying. That’s it.
