Contract Role: Senior Strategic Consultant Revenue Integrity

Location: California (Client Site – Some Travel Required)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (W2)
Compensation: $90/hour (Non-benefited)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Strategic Consultant of Revenue Integrity to support a large healthcare organization in California. This role will focus on revenue cycle optimization, revenue integrity, and Epic system enhancements, working closely with both operational and IT stakeholders.

This individual will play a critical role in driving performance improvements, optimizing workflows, and supporting ongoing Epic initiatives, including post-live optimization and strategic revenue cycle transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor to Revenue Cycle and Revenue Integrity leadership
• Lead and support Epic revenue cycle optimization initiatives, including Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB)
• Partner with clinical, operational, and IT teams to improve charge capture, billing workflows, and reimbursement performance
• Evaluate and enhance:
  • Charge capture processes
  • CDM (Charge Description Master) strategy and maintenance
  • Workqueues and claim edits
  • Denial prevention and revenue recovery workflows

Revenue Cycle Project Manager (Front, Middle & Back End – Epic Required)

Contracted-6+ months | W2 | $90.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Project Manager with deep expertise across the full continuum of care—front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end revenue operations. This individual will lead complex initiatives focused on optimizing revenue cycle performance, improving workflows, and driving system enhancements within Epic.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end revenue cycle projects spanning:
  • Front-end: Scheduling, registration, insurance verification, authorization
  • Mid-cycle: Charge capture, coding, clinical documentation improvement (CDI)
  • Back-end: Billing, claims management, denials, AR follow-up, and collections
• Manage Epic-related implementations, upgrades, optimizations, and workflow redesigns (HB/PB focus)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders
• Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables; ensure projects stay on scope, schedule, and budget
• Identify revenue leakage opportunities and implement corrective strategies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (required)
• 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience across front, mid, and back-end functions
• Hands-on experience with Epic HB (Hospital Billing) and PB (Professional Billing)
• Proven experience managing complex healthcare or IT projects
• Strong understanding of revenue cycle metrics, workflows, and best practices

Position Overview

The Wilshire Group is seeking a Senior Health Information Management (HIM) Consultant with strong Epic experience and certification to support hospital and health system initiatives focused on documentation integrity, coding compliance, and HIM operational workflows.

This consultant will work closely with HIM leadership, coding teams, CDI specialists, and operational stakeholders to evaluate and optimize documentation workflows while ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in HIM operations, coding practices, and Epic system workflows supporting health information management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for HIM operations supporting hospital initiatives.

Partner with HIM leadership, coding teams, CDI specialists, and compliance departments to evaluate and improve documentation workflows.

Position Overview

The Executive Director of Revenue Cycle & Patient Access Transformation provides strategic and operational leadership for enterprise-wide front-end revenue cycle services, patient access operations, and ambulatory scheduling functions. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, improving access to care, optimizing workflows, and leading large-scale Epic and EMR-enabled transformation initiatives across a health system or multi-site organization.

This leader brings a balance of strategic vision, financial discipline, and hands-on operational expertise to improve efficiency, patient experience, and organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Cycle & Financial Performance

• Lead front-end revenue cycle operations including registration, scheduling, eligibility, and financial clearance functions
• Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cost analysis models to ensure fiscal accountability

Position Summary

The Charge Description Master (CDM) Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, integrity, and maintenance of the organization’s CDM. This role ensures accurate charge capture, regulatory compliance, and alignment with coding and billing requirements to support optimal reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of the Charge Description Master (CDM)
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding standards
• Collaborate with departments to review and validate charge capture processes
• Conduct routine CDM audits to identify discrepancies, pricing issues, and compliance risks
• Coordinate updates related to regulatory changes, payer requirements, and annual code set revisions
• Partner with revenue integrity, finance, compliance, and clinical teams
• Analyze reimbursement trends and recommend pricing and charge structure improvements
• Support system updates and integrations impacting CDM (including Epic)

Required Qualifications
