You jump in where the team needs you, keep equipment shining, and make sure every plate that goes out starts with a clean slate. You’ll be part of a friendly crew that thrives on teamwork and takes pride in creating a smooth rhythm behind the scenes. What You’ll Do 

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment quickly and thoroughly 
• Keep floors, surfaces, and bins clean following set routines 
• Make sure all kitchen areas, including storage and prep spaces, stay spotless 
• Help the kitchen team with basic tasks when needed – from unloading deliveries to organizing stock 
• Keep kitchen tools and equipment where they belong to support an efficient workflow 
• Follow hygiene and food safety rules like HACCP 
• Handle cleaning materials and gear safely and responsibly 
• Spot and report any issues or hazards right away 
• This will be a part-time summer role
• The number of shifts will vary from 2 to 5 times per week
• The work hours will be mostly mornings, and require availability during weekends as well as weekdays

What You’ll Have 

• No experience needed, we’ll train you 
• Some experience in a cleaning or support role is a plus 
• Comfortable working in a busy, active environment on your feet 
• A team player mindset with a positive, flexible attitude 
• Strong attention to detail and a sense of pride in cleanliness

• Clear communication skills – able to follow instructions and ask when in doubt

What You’ll Do 

• Welcome guests with genuine warmth and set a great atmosphere from the start 
• Assist with check-ins, payments and kiosk navigation 
• Keep the lobby tidy, inviting and buzzing with the right energy 
• Offer local recommendations and connect guests to events, restaurants and experiences 
• Jump in with bookings for activities, restaurants and everything in between 
• Share guest insights and feedback with the team to improve every stay 
• Work closely with Housekeeping, F&B and Maintenance to keep things running smoothly 
• Represent TSH by promoting our outlets and spotting upsell opportunities 

What You’ll Have 

• You have 1-3 years of experience in hospitality or a similar guest-facing role 
• You bring an energetic, welcoming vibe that makes people feel at home 
•  You’re great at switching between tasks without losing your smile 
• You have a proactive mindset and love turning small moments into memorable ones 
• You’re comfortable with digital tools like PMS, kiosks or guest messaging apps 
• You communicate clearly in English and Dutch
• You’re a team player who stays cool and confident during busy peaks

As a Commis at The Social Hub, you’ll be the right hand to our senior chefs, supporting everything from mise-en-place to plating up the final dish. This role is all about learning on the job. What You’ll Do 

• Assist with food preparation, mise-en-place, and kitchen setup across sections. 
• Follow recipes and directions closely, delivering dishes with accuracy and consistency. 
• Support plating during service, keeping things fast, clean, and delicious. 
• Work closely with senior chefs and kitchen porters to keep the kitchen running smoothly. 
• Help with cleaning routines and follow hygiene standards to the letter. 
• Store and label ingredients properly while helping to manage food stock and rotation. 
• Maintain a tidy station and pitch in wherever needed. 
• Uphold all health and safety practices. 

What You’ll Have 

• Some experience in a professional kitchen, or recently completed culinary school. 
• Basic knowledge of kitchen tools, cooking techniques, and hygiene practices. 
• A strong work ethic: reliable, on time, and ready to roll up your sleeves. 
• A learning mindset: open to feedback and eager to improve. 
• A team-first attitude with respectful communication. 
• A sense of pride in supporting food quality and the guest experience. 
• Fluency in Dutch, English is a plus!

As our F&B Intern, you’ll be operating in all of our front of house areas, making sure that each guest is having the best possible TSH-experience. Whether you’re providing an awesome service in our restaurant and bars or just having a chat to make their stay truly unforgettable ― you are at the forefront of our guest facing operation. You will become that master at providing awesome service in all of our F&B outlets. You know everything about our products and how to (cross-)sell these to our guests. And it’s because of you that everyone who enters our Rotterdam-location will become a raving fan of TSH instantly!

What You’ll Do

• You make sure everyone gets a warm welcome as soon as they walk in
• You get to stretch your F&D skills by preparing and serving a variety of local dishes
• You’ll understand all of our products, be up to date with menu changes, and can (up)sell our dishes
• You'll get an opportunity to work on F&B side of events organized in the hotel.
• Barista anyone? You’ll brew delicious coffee one day and will be mixing our signature cocktail the next
• You’ll be a secret concierge to the city, answering all of your guests’ questions about the best places to visit, eat, shop or party
• Tidy home’s a happy home. You’ll make sure everything is spick and span in all areas and ready for the following shift
• You’ll help our guests with any requests or demands regarding our facilities (you may even pick up some new tech skills along the way!)

Who You Are

• You’ll be enrolled in the EU school/university for the entire duration of the internships
• Currently studying a relevant bachelor’s in Hospitality, Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business
• Enjoy receiving and taking responsibility and you can work independently
• You have a flexible, hands-on, motivated and positive approach
• You’re an octopus that loves to get your dexterity skills into action
• You love responsibility and handle stressful peak periods like a pro
• Fluent in English and Dutch – Know any other languages? The more the merrier!  
• Hard working, responsible and a “let’s do this!” mentality
