Our company was inspired by a puppy named Jada. Just a simple change in diet — from highly processed brown balls to fresh meat and veggies — had miraculous effects on her overall health. Jada’s dad, Brett, and his co-founder, Jonathan realized the commercial pet food industry was putting more energy into creating beautiful bags and marketing fluff than truly healthy dog products. So they teamed up with top veterinary nutritionists to create exactly the fresh, complete, and convenient pet food service that they wished existed for their own dogs.
Using proprietary technology, age, breed, size, activity level, sensitivities and more are all factored into each pup’s personalized plan. The veterinarian-designed meals are cooked in a USDA-certified kitchen, then delivered in ready-to-serve packages within days of preparation — unlike the shelf-stable, preservative-riddled commercial options.
The Farmer’s Dog is creating a new class of consumer brand, bringing peace of mind to our customers, health to their companions, and fundamentally changing the way people think about living life with their pets.

We’re looking for a Supplier Quality Manager who will play a critical role in upholding the trust our customers place in our brand by ensuring the highest quality raw materials are used in our products.
The Supplier Quality Manager will investigate, analyze and resolve supplier, manufacturing, and customer quality problems from raw materials by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, leading continuous improvement projects or other methods as deemed appropriate.
As the Supplier Quality Manager, you will be the liaison between our plants and suppliers within the food safety and quality group. You will review documentation, 3rd party audits, perform hazard analysis/risk rankings for suppliers and ingredients, perform supplier audits, and participate in spec configuration. The Supplier Quality Manager will report directly to the Senior Quality Engineering Manager.
One Team: We don’t think of ourselves as “Acquisition Marketers”, “Engineers”, “Data Analysts”, or “Product Managers”. Beyond denoting skill sets and areas of expertise, we don’t think departments matter. We’d rather align ourselves to the goals we’re working to achieve and make sure we have necessary subject matter expertise to drive meaningful impact. We strive to orient ourselves around customer problems TOGETHER – getting the right people, with the right context, in the right rooms/Zooms to solve problems holistically.
We are skeptical about everything and precious about nothing: Ideas can and should come from anywhere, and we aren’t tied to our own. We proactively source input. We talk to our customers and leads regularly and are quick to change course if we know there’s a better or more impactful way to solve problems.
We consider the customer journey in all of our decisions: We know that no interaction exists in a silo and therefore understand how important every single one is. We ensure our strategy sets prospective and new customers up for success and drives long-term retention. We answer questions and address problems early and proactively. We understand the value of different channels, initiatives, and messages and know how to articulate impact and advocate for prioritization holistically.
We Execute For Impact: We don’t subscribe to “best practices” or “industry KPIs”. We’re uninterested in how we compare to “benchmarks”; instead we orient ourselves around being the best we can possibly be. Similarly, we don’t subscribe to rigid or classical expectations of roles – i.e. acquisition is hyper-focused on improving customer retention and experience.
We Are Focused and Work Without Assumption: We are not beholden to ideas. We have goals and believe everything beyond that is a series of hypotheses to validate. To that end, we seek to work in sequence and not in parallel. We constantly ask ourselves, “what’s the most important hypothesis I should be working on right now? How do I confirm or reject that hypothesis as fast as possible?”. We rarely have timelines/deadlines and are constantly taking in new information and adjusting our priorities accordingly. We don’t expect to be perfect the first time.
We are an in-office culture, made of in-office people who thrive on the collaboration and magnetism of working in a shared space. We are seeking individuals who excel in this type of environment, where being present fosters deeper connections and engagement.
At TFD, we believe Belonging is a shared commitment to creating a workplace where every person feels respected, valued, and empowered to be themselves. When people feel a true sense of belonging, they do their best work, take smart risks, and bring forward diverse perspectives — leading to stronger decisions and deeper relationships.
We anchor this belief in a simple phrase: “Everyone’s welcome at the dog park.” No matter your background, identity, or role, there’s space for you here. There’s no one way to show up at the dog park— just shared space, mutual respect, and the freedom to be yourself. Being included is just the beginning, it’s about contributing your voice, growing through challenges, and building trust through shared goals. This philosophy guides how we lead, how we hire, how we communicate, and how we grow.
We continuously evaluate to ensure we are creating a consistent experience that cultivates belonging for all employees, from hiring and performance reviews to talent development. We also believe Belonging happens in everyday moments of connection; lunch with a new teammate, a shared laugh, or a quick story about your weekend. Our structure includes biannual employee surveys, manager training, TFD camps, and support from Humans to ensure we’re listening and learning from our Team.
Together, these efforts reflect what Belonging means at TFD: a culture where everyone can thrive.

The Farmer's Dog was built on a simple idea: every dog owner deserves the kind of guidance that actually makes a difference. In 2014, that meant a real person calling every new customer. Today, it means building experiences — increasingly powered by AI — that scale that same warmth and intelligence across every touchpoint, for every customer.
As Group Product Manager, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for our Customer Care Tools and Intelligence (CCTI) pod — the team building tooling that empowers our Customer Care advisors to provide iconic care, thereby increasing customer acquisition and retention — while simultaneously shaping how those tools evolve into a broader platform that also power our consumer-facing experiences. You'll see it through from the advisor-facing tools we're building today to the customer-facing experiences they become tomorrow.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, customer experience, and platform thinking. You'll work closely with engineering, design, data, and our Customer Care org to deliver tools that address the root cause of why customers are reaching out, helping our advisors resolve issues faster and with greater empathy. AI is one of the most powerful levers you'll have, and you'll use it thoughtfully: knowing when it's the right solution and building it in a way that compounds toward the consumer platform we're creating. You'll hold the longer arc in mind at every step, ensuring the workflows and intelligence we build today can scale directly to our consumer-facing experiences.

We’re starting by radically improving the $90 billion pet food industry, replacing bags of highly-processed pellets with a personalized subscription service that sends complete and balanced, freshly-made dog food directly to customers’ doors. Our ultimate goal is to create innovative, delightful and personalized experiences across all aspects of pet care, and we believe our direct-to-consumer business model, holistic approach to growth, and dynamic culture uniquely position us to shepherd this backwards industry into the future.
To date, The Farmer’s Dog has delivered over 1 billion meals nationwide and raised over $150M in funding to help us build a company as healthy as the dogs who are eating those meals. Join us as we continue to develop ways of bringing peace of mind to customers, health to their companions, and much-needed change to the way people feed and care for their pets.

As a Senior Manager, Contract Manufacturing at The Farmer’s Dog, you’ll own the relationship with multiple manufacturing partners and serve as the intermediary between them and internal TFD stakeholders. While serving as their day-to-day point person, you’ll also gain a deep understanding of their processes and needs. You’ll use that information to drive improvement at the co-mans, work on long-term capital projects, and inform conversations on strategic capacity planning. This role reports directly to the VP, Contract Manufacturing.

As the Procurement Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the internal processes and tooling that keep the procurement team operating efficiently across shared workstreams. You will play a critical role in supporting Stage 0 commercialization and new item onboarding, ensuring strong coordination, visibility, and execution across cross functional teams—while enabling Category Owners to engage earlier and own sourcing strategy.
You will partner closely with PD, FSQR, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Strategy, and other cross functional teams to ensure smooth execution of high impact initiatives. This role serves as the operational bridge across procurement and the broader organization, driving alignment, clarity, and operational rigor.
This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a highly analytical and organized mindset. You will help elevate how Procurement operates by introducing scalable processes, improving visibility, and enabling more data driven decision making. This role will also manage an analyst and reports to the Procurement Director.

Our IT group takes pride in representing ,interfacing and being embedded in the entire organization. We’re looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician to help expand our internal IT capabilities and ensure our technology runs seamlessly throughout the company, delivering meaningful and joyful experiences to our employees. You’ll work closely with employees across the organization to troubleshoot and resolve daily technology issues. This role is for someone with a passion for technology who is eager to learn, and continually seeks ways to improve the IT experience for their partners.
Because of the on-site nature of this role, working 5 days a week in our NYC office is required.

The Senior Finance Manager, Innovation & Product Development will own the financial rigor behind TFD's product development pipeline, serving as the primary finance partner to our Innovation and Product Development function. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution – building the business cases, proforma P&Ls views, and margin analyses that inform which products we develop and how we bring them to market. You will be a key stakeholder in stage gate decisions, translating complex product development workstreams into clear financial narratives that shape how we evaluate innovation projects.
This role will need to evaluate new product concepts across multiple channels, product formats, and go-to-market strategies – bringing financial discipline to an increasingly dynamic portfolio. This position reports to the Director, Finance.

At The Farmer's Dog, we believe the best customer experience comes from owning the technology that powers it. That's why we design, build, and operate our systems in-house, from subscription and e-commerce to fulfillment and delivery, so that every dog and human gets the right experience, every time.
Our engineers work on problems that matter and that are hard: evolving systems to support rapid growth, building platforms flexible enough to serve customers with many different needs, and creating product experiences that didn't exist before.
You'll join a group of talented engineers and managers who care deeply about building reliable, scalable systems and about working well together. Here, you'll have the space and agency to help scale the business, solve novel customer problems, and build strong relationships along the way.
If you want to make an outsized impact on technology, on customers, and on the lives of dogs everywhere this is the right place for you.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Customer Care Tools & Intelligence (CCTI) team, you'll be at the center of how our Customer Care Advisors deliver iconic care. Our goal is to empower advisors to provide personalized care that meets each customer’s needs, by building thoughtfully designed tools powered by AI and other technologies. We build and maintain the internal CRM and tooling that advisors use every day. You'll work full stack across our CRM, backend services, and AI integrations, partnering closely with Customer Care, Data Science, and Design to turn advisor pain points into elegant, high-impact solutions.
When people feel a true sense of belonging, they do their best work, take smart risks, and bring forward diverse perspectives—leading to stronger decisions and deeper relationships.
We anchor this belief in a simple phrase: “Everyone’s welcome at the dog park.” No matter your background, identity, or role, there’s space for you here. There’s no one way to show up at the dog park—just shared space, mutual respect, and the freedom to be yourself.
We commit to building a competitive compensation package and company environment for all individuals to thrive. We believe in competitive base compensation rooted in location specific market data and performance along with equity ownership in the company that allows every team member to build their personal wealth as the company grows, just as much as we believe in fostering a culture that supports our team members personally, professionally, and holistically. For this role the anticipated hiring base compensation range is $205,000.00 - $240,000.00 USD Annual and the compensation offered will include a robust market competitive package of base and equity. In addition to your base compensation offer you will also receive equity ownership in the company. More information about the value of this equity will be shared at the time of offer. As The Farmer’s Dog’s VP of Finance, you will be the architect and owner of the company’s financial planning engine. You’ll design, operate, and continuously improve the end-to-end planning and performance management cycle, ensuring the business has the clarity, insights, and rigor to make the right decisions at the right time.
You’ll lead a growing team of finance business partners and work hand-in-hand with leaders across every corner of the company. As a leader in Finance, you’ll report directly to the CFO, be a trusted partner to the executive team, and a core contributor to how we operate, grow, and create value.

At The Farmer’s Dog, we believe the best customer experience comes from owning the technology that powers it. That’s why we design, build, and operate our systems in-house, from subscription and e-commerce to fulfillment and delivery, so that every dog and human gets the right experience, every time.
Our engineers work on problems that matter and that are hard: evolving systems to support rapid growth, building platforms flexible enough to serve customers with many different needs, and creating product experiences that didn’t exist before.
You’ll join a group of talented engineers and managers who care deeply about building reliable, scalable systems and about working well together. Here, you’ll have the space and agency to help scale the business, solve novel customer problems, and build strong relationships along the way.
If you want to make an outsized impact on technology, on customers, and on the lives of dogs everywhere this is the right place for you.
