Gameplay AI is a core component of video games used to tell an engaging and exciting story through gameplay. We are looking for a Lead Gameplay AI Engineer who is excited to push the boundaries of Gameplay AI in video games for our forthcoming AAA title. This role will work side-by-side with designers and provide creative input to craft believable, innovative AI experiences. In this role, you will architect, build and maintain a variety of AI systems that bring characters and the world to life in service of outstanding, memorable gameplay. 

Responsibilities: 

• Own gameplay AI systems and related engineering tasking and development. 
• Directly manage a team of AI engineers, including career management, growth, and mentorship. 
• Architect, implement, and maintain production quality C/C++ for AI systems, behaviors, tools, and workflows. 
• Give technical leadership and counsel, ranging from short-term AI problem solving to long-term AI roadmap planning. 
• Provide the production team with guidance for scheduling, while identifying and reducing risks across AI feature development. 
• Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to provide holistic solutions with an emphasis on delivering exceptional gameplay experiences. 
• Build and foster a highly collaborative, transparent culture that is safe, and values innovation, diversity, and work-life balance. 
• Drive innovation in AI character behaviors, ensuring NPCs feel believable and contribute meaningfully to gameplay and storytelling. 
• Analyze different approaches to solve AI problems and discuss the tradeoffs between them. 
• Write and maintain relevant documentation. 

Requirements & Skills: 

• Shipped at least one AAA game or equivalent complexity in a Gameplay AI-related role. 
• Shipped at least one AAA game or equivalent in complexity with Unreal Engine 
• At least 7 years of professional C++ experience. 
• Strong math skills. 
• Console development experience is a plus 
• Experience with machine learning is a plus.

We are seeking a Producer to manage and deliver key aspects of a AAA action-adventure game. Your strengths are a mix of hard project management and soft people skills that you use to get large teams to adhere to a vision, within scope and schedule constraints while helping to retain work/life balance and our company values.  

Responsibilities:  

• Update and manage the plans, schedules and related task tracking database across key features, departments and/or milestone deliverables.  
• Work collaboratively with production and development department leadership to drive decision making that achieves both the project goals and company values. 
• Monitor the team and project health and communicate risks to leadership. 
• Connect departments and eliminate roadblocks to ensure the team is flowing efficiently through their work.  
• Solicit needs from departments and align them to set project requirements. Take those requirements and turn them into project plans. Work with the team to execute those plans. 
• Assemble productivity data from the production tracking system and use that data create production reports that steer the production forward. 
• Drive team towards clarity when ambiguity exists on a new deliverable type or department innovation. 
• Suggest improvements to the production process and assist in seeing them through. 

Requirements & Skills:

We are looking for a Senior Gameplay Animator with a passion for creating incredible animations for a AAA title, with a strong focus on player driven actions and combat systems.  In this role you will contribute to the unified goal of creating high-quality animations that drive in-game functionality and enhance player experience. 

Responsibilities:  

• Create and implement detailed animations for player driven combat actions as well as AI, utilizing motion capture data and cutting-edge motion matching technology to ensure realistic and fluid performance. 
• Collaborate closely with key departments including Design, Engineering, Tech Art, and Motion Capture 
• Be proactive troubleshooting animation workflows, rigging and pipeline issues 
• Assist in establishing standard methodologies in animation 
• Participate in motion capture shoots when needed  

Requirements & Skills:  

• Proven experience in animation for AAA games, with a strong portfolio showcasing player initiated combat and motion capture work. 
• Expert knowledge of Maya and working with Motion Capture  
• Ability to translate complex design requirements into high-quality, functional animations. 
• Experience and ability to integrate gameplay animation in engine 
• Strong collaborative skills and experience working with cross-disciplinary teams.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Designer to own Narrative Scripting – specifically level dialogue implementation in our upcoming AAA third-person action-adventure game. As a key member of the design team, you will drive interactive story and dialogue in the play space. The ideal candidate has experience working with narrative, design, audio, and other stakeholders to ideate, plan, and implement scripted dialogue on shipped AAA titles.

Responsibilities:    

• Work with engineering, animation, and design teams to implement content, solve workflow issues, and create content pipelines.  
• Collaborate closely with writers, game designers, and audio designers to develop a comprehensive plan for level dialogue that supports the game’s creative direction and narrative goals. 
• Create supporting documentation that helps facilitate clear, efficient writing for the other members of the narrative team.  
• Research and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure all grounded, real-world aspects of the story, characters, and world are represented with empathy and authenticity. 
• Support other aspects of narrative and game design in general, including implementing environmental storytelling or other tasks within the design department. You may also be asked to attend voiceover recording sessions and write, review, and/or edit text and dialogue. 

Requirements & Skills:   

• Proficiency in using Unreal 5, particularly in implementing narrative elements and working with Blueprint. 
• Knowledge of and interest in the type of game we are making.  
• Interest in establishing story intent and pacing for mission dialogue. 
• Substantial experience with scripting, branching dialogue, and other technical aspects of narrative design in game development. 
• Experience with text-based scripting and programming languages (e.g. XML, PERL, C++) is a bonus.
