The Account Manager supports Account Executives’ sales efforts by taking ownership of fulfillment in such a way that the AE can play their role of being client-facing, creating opportunities and closing revenue. The Account Manager manages the day-to-day responsibilities of accounts to ensure proper implementation of their solutions. The Account Manager influences and drives sales by providing superior customer service and support across Broadcast Television and Digital, aiming at retaining clients and growing business. This job reports to Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:

Provide support to assigned Account Executives on post-sale activity including campaign implementation, maintenance, and review.
Daily interaction with existing advertising agencies and direct clients; this responsibility includes maintenance of client schedules on television and digital in addition to implementation of special projects and promotions.
Works in tandem with Account Executives, Marketing Director, Research Director, and Creative Services to support client needs.
Attend sales meetings and sales trainings to gain sales, product and process information and keep abreast of company products and services to articulate to client, when appropriate.
Partner with designated Account Executives in identifying new/incremental revenue based on campaign results.
Assist designated Account Executives with maintenance of contracts, generating avails, traffic, make-goods, collection and overall customer service.
Regular tracking of clients’ audience delivery using ratings, impressions, clients KPIs, and campaign fulfillment.
Coordinate with team to set up new customer accounts, contracts, order entry and revisions.

Requirements:

1-3 years of account management in a professional, fast-paced media sales environment.
Track record of successfully retaining and growing clients.
Knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising is preferred.
Knowledge of Google Analytics and advertising solutions is highly desirable.
Prior experience using CRM systems and MS Office suite.
Able to make decisions and solve problems independently to support customer needs.
Self-motivation and willingness to work as a team player are essential attributes.
Demonstrate ability to be creative, flexible, and able to adapt to change with evolving priorities.
Creative with ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Detail oriented with ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization and time management skills.

Pay Range

$26.50—$29 USD

The 24-Month Mastery Path

This program is structured to ensure that when you transition to your own book of business, you are the most prepared pro in the room.

We begin with the SDR Academy, an immersive 4-week training on the media landscape, salesmanship, digital / linear products and our AI-powered tech stack.
You'll master the art of the "cold open" and learn to leverage data to work smarter.
After a 3-month traineeship, you will be a full-fledged Sales Development Representative on the phone, moving fast, and filling the pipeline for our company’s sales leaders.
You’ll partner with Account Executives in stations and with our Inside Salesforce to see how multi-platform deals (TV, Streaming, and Digital) are structured.
In your second year you will have the opportunity to take more ownership.
You’ll lead complex prospecting strategies, begin closing your own SDR-sourced opportunities, and mentor the incoming class of trainees.

TEGNA is looking for someone with a unique blend of administrative, computer and sales support experience. This role is the linchpin that connects the Sales Organization to TEGNA’s clients. As the Sales Assistant you will be the primary support person for the Sales staff and the Sales Fulfilment team and will assist in aspects of the sales process, including good stewardship of client business.

Responsibilities:
•    Daily interaction with agencies and station counterparts
•    Responsibilities include order entry, maintenance of client schedules, regular tracking of client audience delivery, developing presentations, and providing a high level of customer service
•    Resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
•    Provide overall support to the sales organization
•    Ensure all orders follow standardized TEGNA coding for accurate corporate reporting
•    Work closely with TEGNA Sales Management to assure accuracy, continuity and meeting sales deadlines
•    Actively working in TEGNA selling platforms (WideOrbit Traffic, WideOrbit Media Sales, WideOrbit Connect, etc.)
