The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience processing retirement plan loans and distributions across multiple recordkeepers and brokerage platforms and will be comfortable managing requests from initiation through completion. Strongpoint Partners is seeking an experienced ERISA Attorney to support one of our partner firms, Carlson & Quinn. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of retirement plan documents and participant communications.
Reporting directly to the TPA’s President, this role partners closely with Senior Consultants and Plan Administrators to interpret plan provisions, navigate complex regulatory requirements, and support day-to-day retirement plan operations. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code, along with strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
This is a highly technical, detail-oriented position suited for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure plans remain compliant while supporting both internal teams and client needs.

Key Responsibilities
Independently manage and administer a caseload of retirement plans
Perform compliance testing (ADP/ACP, coverage, nondiscrimination, etc.)
Prepare annual valuations
Complete and file Form 5500s
Calculate employer contributions
Perform cross-testing and allocation calculations
Review participant distributions and loans
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ERISA rules and regulations
Review plan documents and ensure operational compliance
Communicate effectively with clients, advisors, and internal team members
Qualifications
Experience administering defined contribution retirement plans
Experience as a Combo Cash Balance / Defined Contribution (CB/DC) Administrator is a plus, but not required
Strong understanding of ERISA rules and retirement plan compliance
Proficiency in any administration software such as: ASC, Datair, Relius, FTWilliam
Salary Range $75,000-$95,000+
