What You'll Do
We are seeking a Lead Actuarial Analyst, MA Risk Adjustment to join our high-performing, insights-driven team. You will play a critical role in evaluating financial performance, uncovering areas of opportunity, and use your 3+ actuarial exam progress to help translate complex data into actionable strategies. Your work will directly influence how Strive supports patients, clinicians, and markets in achieving both clinical and financial success. (This position is internally titled Lead Analyst, Risk Adjustment Analytics).
Essential Functions
- Translate RA performance data into clear financial insights (i.e. revenue impact, payment accuracy, ROI, forecasting).
- Analyze CMS data to identify areas of opportunity to increase operational efficiency.
- Interpret trends, model scenarios, and assess program and policy impacts.
- Enable data-driven decisions by linking operational performance to enterprise financial outcomes.
- Perform end-to-end reconciliation from submissions to CMS acceptance, RAF leakage, and implement controls.
- Develop business cases to assess opportunity, determine target metrics, and provide data driven insights to support investment decisions (i.e. staffing, tech, etc.).
- Prepare and deliver clear and concise reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior leadership, illustrating the findings and implications of analyses conducted.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in risk adjustment analytics.
- 4+ years of experience analyzing MMR, MOR, MAO-004 and medical claims data.
- 3+ actuarial exams passed.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
- Experience with PBI, Redshift, dbt docs is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or health-related field (e.g., Economics, Public Health, Statistics, Health Services Research, Math, Finance).
Annual Salary Range: $99,000 - $124,000. This position is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 10%
Final compensation will be determined based on location, experience, and qualifications.

What You’ll Do
The main function of this role will be to review data received from Strive clients and determine if the data is complete and accurate. If the data is not complete and accurate, the Senior Analyst will quantify the impact of imperfect data and work with the client to resolve the issues. The role will include the benefit of an actuarial study program designed to motivate and support you through your exams. This role will report to the Sr. Director, Actuarial.
The Day to Day
- Review contracts to find instances of client non-compliance, and quantify the value of said non-compliance
- Audit the data we receive for our risk partnerships and ensure completeness and accuracy
- Review material changes impacting risk settlements and quantify the impact
- Communicate instances of non-compliance to internal and external stakeholders
- Partner with key stakeholders across Strive’s Finance, Client Success, and Growth functions to identify data-driven opportunities to add value to existing and potential partners.
- Present models and delivers insights/expertise to a diverse audience and communicates analyses and results to internal and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- 2+ years experience in Actuarial services, Healthcare Economics, or related field.
- Minimum three completed actuarial exams
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.
- Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying or reviewing medical claim grouper logic
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in value-based care preferred.
- Experience with CMS shared savings programs strongly preferred.
- Experience in Commercial, Medicaid or Medicare analysis.
- Experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and SQL.
Annual Salary Range: $85,500 - $104,000. This position is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 10%

What You’ll Do
The main function of this role will be to support actuarial functions, with particular focus on cost of care analytics, forecasting, and value-based contracts. The Actuarial Analyst will execute work assignments using actuarial and statistical methods. This position will report to our Director, Actuarial.
The Day to Day
- Creates detailed actuarial and financial models to assess viability of new and ongoing initiatives and clinical programs.
- Supports Medicare Advantage (MA) bid analyses for full risk partnerships.
- Actuarial incurred but not reported (IBNR), accruals, and settlements related to value-based contracts.
- Forecasts and interprets financial results, including variances from forecast to help identify product and segment behavior to assist in risk management of the business units.
- Collaborates with team members from strategy, clinical, and new market functions to identify data-driven opportunities to add value to existing and potential partners.
- Presents models during workgroup calls and explains analyses to diverse audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or related field.
- 1+ years experience in actuarial services or related field.
- Candidates must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of two actuarial exams.
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.
- Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of analyzing medical claim, lab data, electronic medical record (EMR) data and clinical data.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $83,000. This position is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 5%

Actuarial Manager, Reserving
We are seeking an Actuarial Manager to support financial oversight and analytics for value-based care programs, with a primary focus on CKCC populations. This role will lead monthly financial reporting, support IBNR reserving, and partner cross-functionally to evaluate performance drivers and inform key business decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical actuarial skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly to senior leadership.
Essential Functions
- Lead actuarial support for monthly close (ME), including medical expense (MedEx), revenue, and savings analysis
- Develop and maintain standardized financial exhibits to explain period-over-period changes
- Partner with Finance to support booking decisions and ensure alignment with accounting
- Own development and refinement of IBNR models using claims data and completion factors
- Perform reserve analysis, including sensitivity testing and range development
- Enhance reserving methodologies to improve accuracy and reduce volatility
- Serve as a subject matter expert on CKCC financial performance, including benchmarks, risk score, and utilization trends
- Monitor and update key assumptions (trend, risk score, RTA, etc.)
- Support internal and external stakeholders with CKCC-related financial insights
- Analyze claims, eligibility, and financial data to identify key drivers of performance
- Partner with Data Ops and Engineering to improve data quality, timeliness, and accessibility
- Support automation initiatives (e.g., standardized datasets, dashboards, and tools such as Power BI or SQL-based solutions)
- Work closely with Finance, Partner Analytics, Risk Strategy, and Data teams
- Support ad hoc analyses for leadership, including CFO-level summaries and board materials
- Translate complex actuarial concepts into clear, actionable insights
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 4+ years’ experience in actuarial services or related experience
- Progress toward ASA/FSA (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- 4+ years’ experience with SQL and financial modeling capabilities
- Experience with healthcare data (claims, membership, value-based care) strongly preferred
- Experience with IBNR/reserving methodologies (e.g., completion factors, lag analysis)
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.
- Ability to travel and be on-site to meet business needs.

You will play a critical role in evaluating financial performance, uncovering areas of opportunity, and use your 3+ actuarial exam progress to help translate complex data into actionable strategies. Your work will directly influence how Strive supports patients, clinicians, and markets in achieving both clinical and financial success. (This position is internally titled Lead Analyst, Risk Adjustment Analytics). This individual will work on a hybrid basis with 2-3 days each week in our Denver HQ.
Essential Functions
- Translate RA performance data into clear financial insights (i.e. revenue impact, payment accuracy, ROI, forecasting).
- Analyze CMS data to identify areas of opportunity to increase operational efficiency.
- Interpret trends, model scenarios, and assess program and policy impacts.
- Enable data-driven decisions by linking operational performance to enterprise financial outcomes.
- Perform end-to-end reconciliation from submissions to CMS acceptance, RAF leakage, and implement controls.
- Develop business cases to assess opportunity, determine target metrics, and provide data driven insights to support investment decisions (i.e. staffing, tech, etc.).
- Prepare and deliver clear and concise reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior leadership, illustrating the findings and implications of analyses conducted.

- Able to manage a high volume of recurring and ad hoc deliverables without compromising quality.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in risk adjustment analytics.
- 4+ years of experience analyzing MMR, MOR, MAO-004 and medical claims data.
- 3+ actuarial exams passed.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
- Experience with PBI, Redshift, dbt docs is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or health-related field (e.g., Economics, Public Health, Statistics, Health Services Research, Math, Finance).
Annual Salary Range: $99,000 - $124,000. This position is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 10%
Final compensation will be determined based on location, experience, and qualifications.
