About the role
We are seeking a customer-driven Senior Product Manager to lead Starburst’s new insights platform. Your primary focus will be to deliver product experiences which empower admins to intelligently manage their Starburst deployments. You will collaborate closely with other product managers, engineering, and go-to-market teams to define the product vision, prioritize features, and guide execution. Success in this role means aligning product strategy with business goals, championing the voice of the customer, and driving customer growth by ensuring the product delivers valuable insights.
As a Senior Product Manager at Starburst you will:
- Build and deliver on a roadmap that balances the needs of customers and internal teams with clear prioritization based on data driven customer insights.
- Collaborate with teams globally across multiple time zones and operate in an Agile development environment.
- Deeply empathize with and understand the Starburst administrator persona.
- Own cross-functional interactions for your features.
- Collect and summarize usage data/dashboards for decision making and OKR tracking.
Some of the things we look for:
- 3+ years experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager.
- Proven ability to create easily consumable user experiences for complex technical products, particularly agentic AI experiences.
- Deep understanding of the technical landscape and markets preferred (well versed in databases, data warehousing, data lakes, and familiarity with many of the data infrastructure products in industry).
- Entrepreneurial and self motivated personality with a track record for delivering results in fast-moving environments.
- Experience with either usage and subscription management or automated telemetry collection
- Ability to Travel: This role will require 25% in-person travel for purposes including but not limited to new hire onboarding, team and department offsites, customer engagements, and other company events. Actual travel expectations may vary by role and business needs.

About the role
As a Senior Manager, Product Management, you will be leading the core product management organization for Starburst Enterprise Platform and Starburst Galaxy. This includes driving roadmap development, leading strategic initiatives and managing a team of product managers. You will also be overall responsible for determining packaging and GTM-motion in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. This is a visible, high-impact role at a pivotal point in Starburst history.
As Senior Manager, Product Management you are responsible for:
- Managing the product management team: Developing and managing a team of experienced product managers
- Building a roadmap: Developing a compelling roadmap aligned with our product vision in collaboration with engineering and stakeholders across the organization
- Overseeing launches and customer adoption: Ensuring launches go as planned, and drive adoption of new features
- Driving GTM strategy: Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to evolve the GTM strategy, including packaging, sales motions and marketing campaigns
- Leading strategic initiatives: Oversee mission-critical efforts such as strategic partnerships, engagements with large customers, and M&A.
- Partnering with stakeholders: Developing close working relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, to ensure that we remain aligned on a shared vision and are solving the right problems
Some of the things we look for:
- 10+ years of product management experience, 5+ years of leading other PMs
- Experience with building B2B products for complex and demanding enterprise customers
- Deep technical understanding of Cloud and Data infrastructure technologies
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively

About the role
We are seeking a customer-driven Senior Product Manager to lead Starburst’s data connectors product area. In this role, you will focus on unlocking access to customer data wherever it resides. You will work closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to define vision, set priorities, and drive execution. Success in this role requires aligning product strategy with business goals, championing the voice of the customer, and accelerating customer growth by removing barriers to data access.
As a Senior Product Manager at Starburst you will:
- Build and deliver on a roadmap that balances the needs of customers and internal teams with clear prioritization based on data driven customer insights.
- Collaborate with teams globally across multiple time zones and operate in an Agile development environment.
- Deeply empathize with and understand Starburst personas.
- Own cross-functional interactions for your features.
- Collect and summarize usage data/dashboards for decision making and OKR tracking.
Some of the things we look for:
- 3+ years experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager.
- Experience managing Lakehouse product offerings and their ecosystems (e.g. catalogs, permissions, metadata)
- Proven ability to operate in a highly technical product area where trade-off choices consider engine performance and span multiple product areas.
- Deep understanding of the technical landscape and markets preferred (well versed in databases, data warehousing, data lakes, and familiarity with many of the data infrastructure products in industry).
- Entrepreneurial and self motivated personality with a track record for delivering results in fast-moving environments.
- Experience with query engines (e.g., Trino/Spark) or data virtualization, and how connectors impact performance, governance, and reliability is a plus
- Track record working with or around open-source communities is a plus
