What you'll be doing

• Lead Market Expansion: Drive business development in emerging markets, identifying and seizing growth opportunities in new regions. Take ownership of local provider relationships, ensuring smooth operations and regulatory compliance. Manage compliance work in collaboration with internal teams, supporting Provider integrations and certification requirements
• Build and Manage Provider Relationships: Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with local providers to support market entry and growth. Ensure compliance with local regulations and align provider agreements with business objectives. Maintain a deep understanding of each market’s regulatory landscape, navigating challenges to drive success
• Contract and Compliance Management: Handle contract negotiations, securing favourable terms that align with business goals. Support compliance efforts, coordinating closely with internal teams to meet regulatory requirements
• Market Intelligence and Strategy: Vet new products and analyse competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions. Provide insights that shape market entry strategies and long-term growth plans
• Internal Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with payments, compliance, and product teams to ensure seamless execution of business strategies. Act as a bridge between external providers and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and aligned goals
• Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key providers and stakeholders, ensuring long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. Navigate the complexities of restraints of trade, maintaining ethical and compliant business practices

What you'll bring

• Experience and Independence: A seasoned professional with a proven track record of working independently after onboarding

About the role

As the Manager of Payment Operations at Sporty, you’ll be responsible for owning the payment operations strategies whilst providing leadership and expertise in the field of payments for our products used by millions of daily global users. You'll collaborate with talented stakeholders across our remote-working organisation to work on improvements, optimisation initiatives, and integrations to ensure the best payment experience for our customers. We are passionate about caring for our customers and we ensure we are up to date with our latest product development in the Sporty ecosystem so we are able to offer the best experience.

What you'll be doing

• Define, own, and manage core payment operations, core metrics including our KPIs in the area of payment acceptance rates, payment performance, conversion, compliance, cost, and more
• Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive fraud prevention and risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organisation's assets and minimise financial losses
• Continuously analysing market trends across the payment space in order to increase the quality and efficiency of our customers experience
• Monitor business and process metrics in order to identify solutions and deliver improvements related to core metrics and KPIs
• Oversee the investigations of suspected fraudulent activities, ensuring timely and thorough analysis of data, documentation, and evidence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product and engineering to solve local challenges and deliver enhanced CX
• Recruit, manage, lead, and motivate a team of professionals, ensuring the team builds and maintains a deep understanding of our technology and customers
• Assess and manage changing payment landscapes and evolving industry trends whilst remaining current on all changes to regulations and systems
• Ensuring the payments team are remaining current on industry trends
• Establish and revise policy, enforcing and implementing compliance directives, reviewing system enhancements, and assessing operational needs
• Ensure end user issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Manage, recruit and train a team of payment specialists across different geographies
• Act as a primary POC with network partners to resolve ongoing production issues

What you'll bring

• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field
• Advance knowledge of global payment systems, region specific rules and regulations
• Payment operations experience across tech / fintech / gaming industry is an advantage
• Proven experience in fraud, risk, KYC, investigation, and risk management
• Expert experience managing, leading and building a wider team
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive improvements in payment operations
• Experienced owning and and solving complex payment issues
• Understanding of Compliance and Risk Awareness

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with VIP customers with the objective of retention and identifying opportunities to enhance their experience
• Providing  proactive support to VIP players, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Monitoring VIP player activity and engagement and working on VIP specific campaigns and promotions

• Working closely with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and execution of processes, leading to best-in-class experience for VIPs
• Staying updated with industry information, policies, and regulations in the iGaming sector

• Previous experience as an Account Manager within the iGaming industry

About the role

The Risk and Fraud Analyst will be responsible for investigating and monitoring queues with defined rules. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, creative, fast thinking individual who can work independently, collaborate effectively, and drive results. The role is shift based to ensure the corrective detection and prevention of fraud rules within the business. Ensuring the fraud alerts on the back office system are actioned promptly to minimize loss. 

What you'll be doing

• Willingness to work in a dynamic, high growth environment and should be willing to work shifts during the week, weekends and holidays
• Monitor various queues and define corrective and preventive actions
• Ensure all agreed timelines for investigations are met
• Maintain a customer-centric throughout the process lifecycle
• Monitor the quality investigations and that strong customer service and root cause analysis has been applied during the investigation
• Analyse documents, e.g ID, passports. Identify any fabricated documents
• Engage with stakeholders to improve processes
• Identify gaps within the process and systems and provide suggestions to mitigate the risk

What you'll bring

• 2 years experience within the Gambling industry
• 2 to 3 years experience in fraud prevention, detection, and investigation
• Problem-solving and analytical experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
