Your Mission
As a Backend Software Engineer in the Applications Team, you will help build and maintain the backend services that power Sparetech’s customer-facing web application. You’ll work closely with frontend engineers (React/TypeScript), Product, and Design to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable user-facing workflows (e.g., collaboration, search, material management, BOM self-service, Insights).

Become a part of our team if you
- Bring 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience with JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala).
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining backend systems in cross functional teams.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization.
- Have a collaborative approach to working and communication with stakeholders, product managers, designers, and engineers across the stack.
- Are comfortable debugging and resolving issues in distributed systems / production environments autonomously.
- Care about clean code, testing, performance and pragmatic software craftsmanship.
- Nice to Have
- Experience with workflow-heavy, user-facing products.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, observability tooling.
- Exposure to search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch).

Deine Aufgabe als Werkstudent*in im Bereich Produktmanagement ist es, komplexe Informationen in klare, umsetzbare Erkenntnisse zu übersetzen, die die Weiterentwicklung unseres Produkts unterstützen. Du spielst eine wichtige Rolle dabei, Daten, Nutzer und Produktdenken miteinander zu verbinden, um bessere Entscheidungen zu treffen und die Entwicklung von Features zu verbessern. Mit deiner strukturierten und neugierigen Arbeitsweise trägst du dazu bei, die Produktqualität zu steigern und zuverlässige, skalierbare Lösungen zu ermöglichen.

- Datenaufbereitung & Validierung für KI-Anwendungsfälle zu unterstützen
- Bei der Datenbereinigung und Strukturierung für KI-Anwendungen mitzuwirken.
- Beim Nachbearbeiten von KI-Ergebnissen zu unterstützen (z. B. Validierung, Clustering, Annotation).
- Discovery & Analyse zu unterstützen
- Bei der Vorbereitung und Analyse von Daten für Discovery-Phasen zu unterstützen.
- Erkenntnisse aus Nutzerinterviews, Marktanalysen oder internen Metriken zusammenzufassen.
- Neue Konzepte zu auszuarbeiten und recherchieren.
- Zusammenfassungen und Insights aufzubereiten, um Entscheidungen in der Discovery zu unterstützen.
- Beim Feature-Testing und der Qualitätssicherung mitzuwirken
- Manuelle Tests für neue Features durchzuführen.
- Edge Cases und unerwartetes Verhalten zu dokumentieren, um Qualitätssicherung und Produktverbesserungen zu unterstützen.
- Interne Produktdokumentation zu pflegen und zu verbessern
- Features und Prozesse zu dokumentieren und aktuell zu halten.
Werde Teil unseres Teams, wenn du
- Aktuell Wirtschaftsinformatik, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, BWL oder etwas Vergleichbares studierst.
- Analytisches Denken, Eigeninitiative und Authentizität mitbringst.
- Neugierig bist und Lust hast, dich tief in die Themen Ersatzteilmanagement und MRO einzuarbeiten.
- Interesse an Data Analytics hast, gerne mit Daten arbeitest, daraus Insights ziehst und ein Grundverständnis für Statistik mitbringst.
- 15–20 Stunden pro Woche bei uns in Stuttgart oder München verfügbar bist.
- Fließend Deutsch und Englisch sprichst.

Become a part of our team if you
- Bring experience: Have 4 to 7 years of B2B SaaS or Enterprise Sales experience with a record of closing new logos and expanding existing customers.
- Know the Shop Floor: Have been on site in factories or production environments and can discuss real operational workflows and constraints.
- Navigate all stakeholders: Speak comfortably with engineers, procurement teams, and executives, adapting your message to each.
- Understand the Industry: Bring knowledge in one or more of manufacturing, electronics, pharma, chemicals, or food and beverage.
- Speak Fluently: Are proficient in German and English.
- Travel when it matters: Travel to customers 1 to 2 days per week to build strong, lasting relationships.
- Show Curiosity and Drive: A technical or business degree is a plus, but your learning mindset and ownership attitude matter more.
