HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR (EMPLOYEE RELATIONS)

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting a diverse employee population with crucial services for the full employee life cycle. This position will assist with employee onboarding, HRIS administration, and partnering with the HR team to implement both local and company-wide programs. Success in this role requires superior internal and external customer service, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the HR team in employee relations investigations and conflict resolution
• Maintain our HRIS for all employee life-cycle processes
• Respond to employee inquiries, questions and concerns
• Provide information, guidance and direction on HR policies, programs, and processes to employees and managers
• Serve as the onboarding point of contact for the new hire program and support new employees’ transition into SpaceX
• Ensure employee electronic files are accurate and updated, and assist with HR reporting and audit requests
• Assist with the creation, documentation, and implementation of human resources policies, programs, and processes
• Respond to initial unemployment claims and employment verifications
• Provide support to the HR team and deliver core HR services to the workforce
• Assist HR team in identifying department needs, recommending changes, and implementing improvements
• Facilitate site-wide events, such as benefits fairs, volunteer efforts, and team celebrations
• Support the recruitment team with staffing-related support activities
• Maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 6+ months of administrative experience (internship experience qualifies)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3.5 GPA or higher
• 1+ years of intern or professional experience in a human resources role
• Basic understanding of labor laws and an interest in keeping up with trends and updates in HR

GLOBAL IMMIGRATION & COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

The Global Immigration & Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in all aspects of international employment compliance, immigration (domestic and international), and employee mobility across the company’s multiple international entities. This role ensures all legal, tax, and employment regulations are met while supporting seamless movement of employee talent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Global Mobility & Immigration

• Manage visa applications and immigration documentation needed for sponsoring employees to work in the U.S., India, Brazil, Singapore, and Ireland and other international locations as needed.
• Advise HR leadership on emerging international immigration laws and risk areas on an ongoing basis.
• Partner with legal to create, implement, and update global HR, mobility policies and international handbooks.
• Partner with global mobility vendor to manage mobility cases, including short-term assignments, long-term transfers, and remote work.
• Track and report on global mobility and immigration data (visa status, work authorization, travel days, etc.).

Compliance & Reporting

• Partner with external immigration counsel and PEOs to ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax registrations, and statutory reporting requirements in all jurisdictions.
• Conduct HR compliance audits in partnership with local counsel in each jurisdiction.
• Liaise with Finance/Tax and Legal to maintain compliant employment structures, contractor relationships, and payroll requirements.
• Serve as the main point of contact for government agencies and local authorities on employment-related compliance matters.
• Work with external counsel to update legal documentation, including employment agreements or other related documents.
• Manage background check process and ensure compliance with local labor and employment laws.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years of experience as global HR, immigration, or mobility management.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ of experience in global HR, immigration, or mobility management, strong understanding of U.S. immigration laws.

• Investigate sensitive and/or complex employee relations matters from start to finish, including conducting intake, leading interviews, note-taking, gathering and analyzing evidence (electronic, physical, etc.), documenting findings, and following up with the relevant parties.
• Objectively debrief HR business partners and leadership on investigation findings.
• Document investigation and summarize findings in a report.
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations on mitigation strategies.
• Advise and train HR business partners on investigations best practices.
• Discreetly handle sensitive and/or private information.
