Ce que vous ferez
Emploi : Conceptualiser et mettre en œuvre des éléments numériques de personnages et des méthodologies pour l’animation de foules générées par ordinateur. Créer généralement des agents, des pipelines, des outils et des techniques permettant de peupler et de manipuler un grand nombre de personnages dans des scènes nécessitant une simulation de foule afin de soutenir et enrichir l’histoire.
● Être responsable de l’atteinte des objectifs de productivité et de quotas afin de respecter les échéances des productions et des clients.
● Développer des solutions et techniques répondant aux directives artistiques et techniques. Participer aux visionnements quotidiens « dailies », aux révisions et aux séances d’équipe sur le travail en cours.
● Interagir avec la production, les superviseurs et les collègues afin de résoudre des problèmes et partager des informations relatives aux tâches assignées. Être en mesure de comprendre et de suivre les instructions des remises de plans, des dailies, des réunions de suivi et des rétroactions.
● Préparer des plans et soutenir les artistes juniors.
Ce que nous devons voir
Expérience :
○ Baccalauréat en informatique, OU
○ Diplôme ou certificat d’une école reconnue en animation ou en effets visuels, OU
○ 3 à 4 ans d’expérience pertinente en film d’animation ou en effets visuels.
● Expertise en simulation de crowd avec Houdini, Massive, Golaem ou un logiciel similaire.
● Capacité à concevoir des caractéristiques d’interaction pour différents types d’agents.
● Compréhension des principes d’animation et aptitude à créer des comportements de groupe réalistes en contrôlant les mouvements des individus au sein d’une foule.
● Personnaliser les techniques procédurales afin de générer des performances uniques et variées pour des personnages animés par clips, ainsi que pour des agents autonomes simulés.
● Habileté à proposer des solutions aux problèmes créatifs et techniques.
● À l’aise avec Houdini et les bases des effets spéciaux :
○ Simulation de particules
○ VEX/VOPS de base
○ Compréhension des attributs
○ FLIP, PYRO, RBD/destruction de base
○ Principes de base d’OTL/HDA
● Optimisations des rendus
● Compétence avec Nuke
● Connaissance de Katana (atout)

Responsibilities
Designs, creates and animates digital effects elements and methodology for computer generated FX animation. Typically creates elements, effects, pipelines, tools and techniques that reflect physical dynamics of natural phenomena (e.g., fire, smoke, water, bubbles, lava, dust, etc.) to create a believable world for the story. Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets to ensure show/ client deadlines are met. Artists must be able to develop solutions and techniques that meet art/ technical direction. Participate in dailies, rounds, team reviews of work in progress. Interact with production, supervisors and team/peers in order to problem solve and share information related to show/ assigned tasks. Must be able to decipher as well as follow through on shot turnovers, dailies, briefings/ notes and feedback. Successful candidates should be able to work efficiently as part of a team or independently to determine the various design solutions.
Qualifications:
Ability to create multiple types of digital effects from simple to moderately difficult. Comprehensive knowledge of Houdini and techniques used to create stunning effects. General knowledge of vex, shading, lighting and rendering. Attention to detail and a strong eye of behavior and movement relating to physical simulation in computer graphics. Working knowledge of Linux based operating system. Have worked on feature films or equivalent experience and are comfortable working within an FX pipeline. Familiarity with Katana, Nuke and python a plus.
The anticipated base salary for an Associate position is $26.49 to $36.35/hr and for an Intermediate position is $36.06 - $48.08/hr.
