About the role
We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager – AI Platform to build and scale the internal developer platform that enables teams to ship AI-powered products faster. Your primary responsibility will be to improve how engineers build, test, and deploy products — by creating platform capabilities, tooling, and workflows that significantly increase developer velocity and reduce friction.
This is a hands-on, platform-focused role for a PM who loves thinking in systems, translating cutting-edge AI capabilities into smooth, secure, and joyful experiences for engineers, data scientists, and PMs alike. You’ll define the backbone of our AI ecosystem — ensuring our teams can safely build, test, and ship smarter, faster, and better.
You can be based in Barcelona, Edinburgh or London, where we adopt a hybrid working policy of working in the office twice a week.

About the role
Hybrid
You’ll step into a pivotal Data Engineering Manager role within our Audience Experience tribe, helping power how millions of travellers discover, engage with and return to Skyscanner. Sitting within Paid Marketing & Marketing Technology, you’ll lead the team behind the data that drives smarter marketing investment and fuels global audience growth.
This is where people leadership meets deep data engineering expertise. You’ll be just as comfortable shaping a high-performing, happy team as you are thinking through architecture and platform evolution.
Your work won’t sit on the sidelines — it will directly influence how we invest across paid channels like search, social and programmatic. In other words, not just dashboards… but decisions.
Along the way, you’ll help evolve our data platform, improving scalability, observability and governance within a modern cloud environment. You’ll partner across Marketing, Product, Analytics and Data Science to turn complex data into clear, actionable direction.
And perhaps most importantly, this is a genuine opportunity to lead, grow and elevate a team — setting the bar for both technical excellence and a culture people want to be part of.
What you'll be doing
Leading a high-performing team: You’ll manage, coach and grow a team of data engineers, creating an environment where people do their best work (and enjoy it too).
Building scalable data pipelines: You’ll oversee the design and operation of robust pipelines across paid marketing and affiliate channels.
Setting technical direction: You’ll define standards across CI/CD, testing, documentation and cost optimisation — raising the bar as you go.
Partnering cross-functionally: You’ll work closely with Marketing, Product, Analytics and Marketing Technology to shape and deliver the data roadmap.
Improving data quality & observability: You’ll champion reliable, trustworthy datasets with strong SLAs and clear monitoring.
Balancing speed and sustainability: You’ll navigate the trade-offs between rapid delivery and long-term platform health, governance and privacy.
Enabling smarter decisions: You’ll ensure data flows seamlessly from raw signals to decision-ready insights, including feeding optimisation signals back to platforms like Google.
About you
Experienced people leader: You’ve led and developed engineering teams, ideally through periods of growth or transformation.
Data engineering expert: You bring strong experience building and scaling data platforms, pipelines and architectures in cloud environments.
Commercially minded: You understand how data translates into business impact — especially within marketing or growth domains.
Strategic thinker: You’re comfortable shaping roadmaps and influencing senior stakeholders across disciplines.
Technically credible: You can dive deep when needed, guiding decisions on tooling, architecture and best practices.
Collaborative by nature: You thrive working across teams, turning complex requirements into shared outcomes.
Curious and improvement-driven: You’re always looking for better ways to build, lead and scale — and you bring others along with you.

About Skyscanner
Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges ✈️. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily 💻.
Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all 🌍.
Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? 💪 Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here.)

This isn’t just another engineering management role — it’s your chance to shape the data backbone of an AI-first travel company. You’ll lead a high-performing squad within Core Data, building the reliable, scalable, and (very importantly) trusted data products that power everything from experiments to real-time traveller experiences.
Think of it as part leadership, part technical strategy, part “let’s make data actually useful at scale.” You’ll help set the pace, raise the bar, and make sure our data platforms are ready not just for today — but for where AI is taking us next.

Now, we’re on the lookout for a Senior User Research Manager – 12-month FTC to help us bring that vision to even more travellers.
About the role
(Hybrid)
You’ll lead our mighty Metasearch Research team — the crew dedicated to understanding how travellers choose, compare, and book the best options across Flights, Hotels, Packages, and Cars. This role is all about elevating insight, shaping strategy, enabling great decision-making, and championing the traveller at every turn. Reporting directly to the Director of Research within our Customer Experience (CX) team, you’ll partner closely with Product and Design leaders to shape the future of decision-making across our marketplace.
What you’ll be doing
Leading Strategic Research Initiatives: You’ll scout the horizon for the big questions before they land — designing forward-looking, mixed-method research that unlocks long-term business opportunities.
Guiding Core Product Development: You’ll provide hands-on direction across the Flights, Hotels, Packages, and Cars workstreams, ensuring insights glide effortlessly into product decisions.
Deepening Mixed-Method Expertise: You’ll raise the bar on methodology — directing sophisticated frameworks and championing robust, actionable research that solves real business problems.
Team Management: You’ll mentor and empower researchers, helping them refine their craft while adopting new tools and technology that boost both quality and scale.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: You’ll partner with CX, Product, Design, and Analytics to shape questions, uncover truths, and craft narratives that inspire genuine action.
Voice of the User: You’ll make sure travellers’ needs echo through every decision — using evidence, insight, and a learning mindset to cut through complexity.
Data Integration & Reporting: You’ll join forces with Analytics to weave behavioural data and research findings into a single, powerful decision-making engine for the business.
About you
Extensive Mixed-Methods Research Expertise: You’ve led impactful research programmes blending qualitative depth with quantitative confidence — from running in-depth interviews and concept evaluations as you are synthesising behavioural data, usability metrics, or large-scale survey results.
Comprehensive Research Methodology Knowledge: You have expertise in product/user research and know when to use what, tailoring methodologies to fit diverse product and business challenges (bonus points for brand/marketing experience).
Strong Leadership & Mentoring Skills: You thrive on coaching researchers, levelling up capability, and fostering a culture of curiosity and growth.
Clear, Impactful Storytelling: You turn complex findings into sharp, compelling narratives that motivate teams and influence senior stakeholders.
Growth-Oriented Mindset: You navigate ambiguity with creativity, balancing user needs, business value, and strategic context with finesse.
Experience in Dynamic Environments: You’re energised by pace, able to juggle multiple projects, and confident steering research through shifting priorities.
Deep Analytical & Data-Driven: You connect qualitative nuance with quantitative validation, making decisions grounded, empathetic, and strategically sound.
Autonomous Self-Starter and Influencer: You partner confidently with senior leaders, shaping strategy rather than simply responding to requests.
