We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SaaS Enterprise Sales Executive to join our US Property and Casualty sales team. As Shift continues to rapidly grow its SaaS footprint in the US insurance market, we are looking for an Account Executive who thrives in a high-performance, results-driven, and collaborative environment. This role is central to driving new business across key insurance functions—including Fraud, Underwriting, Claims, and Subrogation—by positioning our SaaS solutions as mission-critical tools that deliver measurable value.
The ideal candidate has a strong track record of selling complex, enterprise-grade SaaS platforms to C-level executives at leading insurers and is skilled at navigating long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- Prospect and Generate Leads: Identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Develop Territory and Account Strategy: Create and execute effective territory and account plans to achieve and exceed targets. Effectively report on activities, pipeline, and forecasts.
- Drive Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customer stakeholders and C-Suite Executives
- Negotiate and Close Deals: Lead contract negotiations and close deals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions
- Maintain Product Expertise: Ensure a deep understanding of our products across all lines of business, staying updated on industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate: Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Data Science and Customer Success, to ensure a seamless customer experience
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets year over year, ideally with a sales cycle of 9-12 months
- 5+ years of experience in B2B, vertical software sales to Fortune 500/large enterprise customers
- Knowledge of the Insurance / financial services industry is strongly preferred
- Extensive background in negotiations, deal strategy & construction
- Excellent communication, presentation and executive engagement skills
- Drive for results with a high standard of quality
- A deep sense of accountability to yourself and your team
- Proven success in coordinate and motivate internal teams to execute a deal

The range listed is for base compensation. Your actual base salary will vary based on factors including location and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.

YOUR ROLE
Reporting directly to our Managing Director in Japan, you'll be part of a team that works daily to grow Shift’s solutions new business revenue to the most important Insurance carriers in the Japan region.
This role will be critical in executing our field-facing activities with Insurance lines of business (Fraud, Underwriting, Claims, Subrogation etc.) as well as fostering internal collaboration across the organization with Pre-Sales, Customer Success, Partner, Delivery, Product and Data Science.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic software sales professional who embodies ownership, accountability and high emotional intelligence in their daily engagement.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop & Implement strategic territory plan to ensure revenue objectives are exceeded
- Lead the sales process, from execution, through issues to forecasting excellence
- Deliver measurable results and outcomes with predictability and efficiency
- Collaborate with Cross functional teams to delight customers
- Execute Demand Generation Activities directly and with Business Development, Partner & Marketing teams
- Ensure Delivery and Value Realization for customers across their lifecycle
- Drive Stakeholder & C-Level Engagement across Shift & its customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in quota bearing software/project sales roles
- Deep knowledge of the Insurance industry, ideally addressing lines of business
- Extensive background in negotiations and deal strategy
- Experience in management consulting would be very helpful
- High ability to read the room, anticipate contingencies and execute accordingly
- Strong drive for results with a high standard of quality
- A growth mindset and an inquisitive learner
- Highly adaptable, ability to work & collaborate in a fast-paced environment
- Perfect fluency in Japanese and professional proficiency in English

YOUR MISSION
We are looking for a market-facing Sales Director for Germany who leads from the front. You will be part of a team that works daily to grow Shift’s solutions new business revenue to Insurance carriers in the DACH region.
The majority of your time will be spent personally driving revenue — building pipeline, closing strategic deals, and expanding key accounts across the German insurance market. You will operate as the most senior individual contributor in the region, owning both new logo acquisition and long-term account growth.
You will focus on selling complex B2B software solutions to insurance carriers across multiple lines of business (Fraud, Claims, Underwriting, Subrogation, etc.), combining strategic hunting with sophisticated farming.
This role is designed for a seasoned sales executive who wants to personally drive impact in the German insurance market while shaping the long-term commercial trajectory of a leading global insurtech company.
YOUR IMPACT
You will be responsible for building and scaling revenue within the German insurance ecosystem by:
- Owning and executing the commercial strategy for the German market
- Personally leading complex, enterprise-level sales cycles end-to-end
- Driving new business acquisition (hunter mindset) within Tier 1–3 insurance carriers
- Expanding and deepening existing client relationships (farmer mindset)
- Engaging C-level and senior stakeholders on business transformation initiatives
- Leading a team of specialists in their field
- Orchestrating internal collaboration across Pre-Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Delivery, and Customer Success

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You bring:
- 10+ years of quota-carrying experience in B2B software or product sales
- A strong track record of selling complex software solutions to insurance carriers in Germany
- Deep knowledge of the German insurance landscape and buying processes
- An established network within German insurance decision-makers
- Demonstrated success in both hunting new logos and farming strategic accounts
- Experience navigating long, enterprise-level sales cycles
- Experience managing a small team of senior talents
- Strong commercial judgment, negotiation excellence, and deal strategy capability
- Executive presence with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to manage complex internal and external dynamics
- Native-level German and professional fluency in English

What you'll do...

As part of our globally growing Healthcare Solutions sales team, you will be a key player in helping us scale our business and rolling out Shift Technology solutions to new clients. Your role in the Shift adventure will be to grow the Health Insurance business in the United States!
The Payment Integrity solution we provide is key to our customers and you will be managing C-level relationships within the country's Health insurance ecosystem.
- Develop and implement strategic territory plan to ensure Shift exceeds its revenue objectives
- Identifying new opportunities and the right customer stakeholders within Healthcare
- Independently and collaboratively strategize for solving deal-level challenges;
- Work on and submit proposals and contracts to customers.
What you bring...
- Have at least 5 years of successful experience selling large, complex enterprise-grade SaaS solutions to Insurance Payers business units (Utilization Management, Provider Management, CFO, SIU)
- Have a deep Health Plan knowledge
- Have existing relationships within the Payer ecosystem
- Drove SaaS selling of $500K and above across a multiyear contract
- Worked with a partner ecosystem to deliver results and scale
- Have an understanding of pipeline creation, and a keen ability of negotiation skills
- Have excellent communication skills, including oral written, and non-verbal; you know how to make complex things feel simple;
- Can tailor communication to the customer’s needs with confidence, and can effectively deliver memorable presentations leveraging storytelling skills;
- Are a strategic thinker to systematically solve problems and hypothesize possible pain points and implicit needs;
- Are effective at networking and can identify the right customer stakeholders and build connections quickly to drive consensus for deals
- Can manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
