About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Code Science team.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining open and closed source language frontends for the Joern platform to enable automated software vulnerability analysis by Qwiet AI.

The work includes interfacing with compiler and parser libraries, as well as parser generators. You will collaborate with a distributed remote team around the world, including the open source community, data scientists and machine learning engineers, security researchers, software engineers, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain language frontends, among others for C#
• Translate source code compiler/parser representation into Joern Code Property Graphs
• Keep track of newly-introduced language features and support them in the frontends
• Write integration tests to ensure compatibility between frontends and later vulnerability analysis stages
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve technical issues and implement new features
• Write and maintain technical documentation to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience in software development in either Scala and the JVM ecosystem or C#
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members
• Knowledge of parser generators, compiler programming and program analysis is highly desirable
• Experience in software development in C# and the Roslyn SDK is also desirable
• Knowledge of static program analysis methods is a plus
• Experience in design and development of large integration test suites is a plus

Position Overview: We seek a talented Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team at Qwiet AI. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving our growth by providing technical application security expertise to our customers and prospects throughout the sales process. Your primary responsibility will be to support our Sales team with your deep understanding of application security concepts and our product offerings. You will collaborate closely with prospects to understand their technical requirements, demonstrate our solutions, and articulate how Qwiet AI can meet their specific needs. The perfect candidate will have previous experience in application development, application security, and DevOps. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Sales Support: Engage with prospects to understand their technical environment and security challenges. Provide technical presentations, demonstrations, and support throughout the evaluation process.
• Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Qwiet AI's product suite, including SAST, SCA, Secrets management, AutoFix, CI/CD integrations, and IDE tooling. Effectively communicate the value propositions and technical advantages of our solutions.
• Solution Design: Collaborate with prospects to design and propose customized solutions that address their security requirements. Create proof-of-concepts and technical proposals to showcase Qwiet AI's capabilities.
• Technical Consultation: Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects by providing insights and recommendations on integrating Qwiet AI's solutions into their existing development workflows.
• Sales Collaboration: Work closely with our Sales team to qualify opportunities, provide technical support during sales meetings, and assist in closing deals.
• Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from prospects and customers regarding product features, functionality, and performance. Communicate insights to our Product Management and Engineering teams to drive product improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Pre-Sales Experience: 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering or sales engineering role within the software industry, preferably in the application security domain.
• Programming: Experience in modern software development languages like Python, Go, and Java is strongly desired. 
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with DevOps technologies such as CI/CD pipelines, source code management systems, and IDE integrations.
• Communication: Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of finding innovative solutions to customer challenges.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and engineering.

You will work on dependency management for various programming languages, generating and consuming SBOMs and related features. It also includes the necessary analysis and processing of data sets, as well as building and maintaining systems and APIs that allow our customers worldwide to make use of this data for attestation, compliance, and security purposes.

You will collaborate with a globally distributed remote team, including security researchers, machine learning engineers and data scientists, as well as the open source community.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implementation of CLI and backend services to expand our product offerings
• Maintain and improve the quality and testability of our code base over time
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve technical issues and implement new features
• Write and maintain technical documentation to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer
  

Qualifications:

• Degree in related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional experience writing API services
• Professional experience with the Go programming language. Experience with Scala is a plus, as well as other common languages (e.g. Java, Python, C#, PHP, Ruby)
• Experience with the package infrastructure and build systems for various languages and environments
• Solid understanding of security issues and their cataloguing, CVEs, vulnerability management is a big plus
• A keen eye for high quality coding standards, especially designing for testability
• Experience using RDBMS, especially PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of Docker containers
• Experience with CI and testing automation, such as Jenkins
• Experience with microservices environments with frequent releases (weekly, daily)
• Experience with AWS or similar is highly desirable
