Position Description

Sensei Lāna'i is seeking expert Massage Therapists to join our team. Sensei’s Massage Therapists report to the Spa Manager and are responsible for providing high-quality treatments for our guests. The Massage Therapist is responsible for the delivering of services and standards and upkeep of all SOPs and Protocols. All efforts are being directed towards guest satisfaction, safety, sanitation, proper technical procedures and professionalism.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Administer professional massage and body treatments to guests

• Works with management to develop standard operating procedures (SOP) for hale set up and breakdown

• Works with management to update and /or create treatment protocols

• Enforce sanitation protocols amongst staff

• Drives guest service standard training

• Participates in regular audit of team standards

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required

• At least 3-5 years of massage experience in a luxury hospitality environment

Position Description: 

Responsibilities include supervising the culinary functions of the Sushi Bar to meet the overall expectations of Sensei by Nobu, meeting the company's financial goals, facilities maintenance, and personnel development objectives. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Responsibilities:  

• Assist the Head Sushi Chef and Kitchen Chefs in providing consistent excellence in quality and presentation of all food to the guests.
• Maintain the standard of excellent quality in culinary service and front of house guest services - responsible for ongoing training of the Sensei by Nobu standards and Sushi Bar standards to the Team.
• Produce food on a timely basis and ensure servers are well educated regarding all aspects of the Sensei by Nobu menu.
• Participate in service education through daily line-ups, quarterly menu meetings, and development of new server and cook training programs.
• Assist the F&B department in meeting the financial targets while achieving the food quality and service objectives.
• Maintain expert knowledge of all sushi bar stations and sushi prep responsibilities. Assist the Head Sushi Chef in training the Sushi staff to produce meals promptly in accordance with Sensei by Nobu standards.

• Inventory of all the sushi bar produce - both specialty items, high volume products and Sensei by Nobu sauces.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Build and manage a list of corporate wellness accounts (including Fortune 500 companies, technology, venture/financial firms, leadership networks, healthcare organizations, consumer brands, etc.) that value and invest in integrative wellbeing for their teams. 
• Develop and execute a structured outreach strategy leveraging personal networks, targeted industry events, and outbound prospecting. 
• Prospect, qualify, and engage decision‑makers including Executive Assistants, HR and Total Rewards leaders, Chief Wellness Officers, meeting planners, and senior executives with direct influence over compensation programs, wellness benefits/stipends, corporate retreats, and sabbatical programs that can be converted into measurable revenue opportunities (i.e., group and leisure business) across all Sensei locations.

The Retail & Guest Experience Specialist will oversee all Lobby Retail operations, Spa & Wellness reservations, and support the Experience operations. This role will be responsible for guest retail experience, spa & wellness reservations process, ensuring inventory stays on par based on demand, maintaining the boutique daily, driving sales and increasing profitability. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of sales, merchandising, and inventory.

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with pre-arrival, Spa, and Wellness teams in promoting available programming and offerings to guests, and maximizing revenue opportunities
• Responsible in booking requests for Spa and Wellness, Golf, and Tennis and inputting reservation details in Book4Time

Position Description:

At Sensei by Nobu a Line cook's responsibility is to execute all dishes and recipes provided by the culinary leadership. The expectation for the position is to maintain a clean and tidy work environment. They are also required to work in tandem with all positions in the kitchen and department.  

Responsibilities:

• Run the day-to-day operation of the station in the kitchen
• Prepare food items per guest orders of consistent quality following recipe, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards. Complete station setup is expected for all meal periods

The primary role of a Greenskeeper/Golf Course Technician is to maintain optimal golf course conditions by completing tasks related to golf course maintenance as directed by the supervisor. Tasks include but are not exclusive to: operating all equipment used in daily golf course maintenance, cutting cups, raking bunkers, watering, planting, moving tee locations, and applying fertilizer and chemicals. Operation of golf carts and utility vehicles may be necessary. Golf Course Technicians report to the Superintendent but may also report to the Foreman.

Responsibilities:

• Perform varied tasks involved in maintaining pristine golf course conditions
• Operate powered equipment in mowing golf course greens, tees, and fairways
• Apply water and fertilizer as instructed
• Grade soil, lay sod, and plant vegetation
• Change cups on the greens and move tee markers as directed
• Maintain ball washers, water hazards, and bunkers
• Remove debris and maintain course cleanliness
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Rake and maintain sand bunkers
• Fill divots with divot mix
• Blow cart paths
• Assist with seeding new greens, tees, and fairways
• Weed maintenance around trees, bunkers, and cart path curbs
• Perform all job duties in a safe manner and abide by all safety policies and procedures
• Adhere to all company and departmental guidelines
• Report any hazards, injuries, and safety concerns to supervisor immediately

The Experience Specialist (Guest Services) On-Call is a key ambassador of the Sensei guest journey, responsible for delivering seamless, personalized service from pre-arrival through departure. This role manages daily guest flow, welcomes and checks in guests, supports itinerary building, and executes real-time changes with precision and care. Working cross-functionally with all departments, the Experience Specialist (Guest Services) On-Call ensures accurate scheduling, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving to create a smooth and elevated experience for every guest. By anticipating needs and supporting both guests and internal teams, this position plays a vital role in creating a smooth, thoughtful, and elevated wellness experience for every guest.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

On Property Guest Support 

• Primary On-Property Guest Contact – Serves as the dedicated point of contact for guests throughout their stay, delivering warm, personalized service from check-in to departure. Manages real-time itinerary adjustments, fulfills special requests, and provides thoughtful recommendations on dining, activities, and resort offerings. Receives guest handoff from the Pre-Arrival Team 72 hours prior to arrival to ensure a seamless experience and proactively resolves issues to uphold the highest standards of service.
• Guest Welcome & Check-In – Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, executing seamless check-in and check-out of appointments in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Itinerary Management – Build, update, and fine-tune guest itineraries throughout their stay, ensuring alignment with their state intentions, preferences, and adherence to established protocols and standards.

Room Only & External Wellness Requests

• Room Only Booking Requests (LEP) – Manage wellness service booking requests from Four Seasons Lāna’i Experiences Planners (LEP) for Sensei room-only guests. Monitor the LEP inbox and ensure requests are answered within 24 hours and the inbox is cleared by noon and 3:00pm daily. Follow all established scheduling procedures and booking protocols.
• Manele VIP Booking Requests – Manage wellness service booking requests from Four Seasons Executive Assistants for Four Seasons Manele Beach Resort VIP guests. Monitor the LEP inbox and ensure requests are answered within 24 hours and the inbox is cleared by noon and 3:00pm daily. Follow all established scheduling procedures and booking protocols.
• Island Club Booking Requests – Manage wellness service booking requests from Island Club Members. Monitor the LEP inbox and ensure requests are answered within 24 hours and the inbox is cleared by noon and 3:00pm daily. Follow all established scheduling procedures and booking protocols.
• Internal Space Reservation Requests – Manage internal wellness space reservation requests. Confirm bookings are handled promptly and in compliance with established scheduling protocols.

Guest Experience Support

• Sensei Knowledge Resource – Serve as a trusted source of information, confidently responding to guest questions and requests across a wide range of topics including, but not limited to: The Sensei Way, Sensei Wellness Packages, The Weekly Activity Calendar, Guide, Spa and Wellness Services and confidently speak to various Guide and Practitioner specialties and modalities, Sensei by Nobu menu and In Room Dining Menu, Four Seasons, Love Lāna’i and Island Activities, local directions, shopping, on and off property dining, local entertainment, hotel services, and safety.
• Service Recovery & Empowerment – Proactively resolve guest issues and empowered in turning around any guest opportunities that may arise; taking ownership to troubleshoot and resolve issues, while upholding the highest level of service.
• Billing & Reporting: Ensure accurate guest service charges, billing, and reporting, addressing transaction disputes as needed.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Manages interdepartmental communication between Sensei Pre-Arrival Specialists (PAS), the Sensei Property Pre-Arrival Experience Specialist, Sensei Leadership Team, Four Seasons Reservations, Four Seasons Retreat Hosts, Four Seasons Lāna’i Experience Planners (LEP) to inform, update and follow-up on guest needs.
• Brand Representation – Serve as a brand ambassador for Sensei’s philosophy and uphold Sensei values in daily practices.
• Professional & Welcoming Demeanor – Demonstrates warmth, sincerity, and professionalism in all verbal and nonverbal guest interactions.

The Movement Guide will work in conjunction with all other wellness disciplines including but not limited to movement, nutrition, mindset, spa, yoga, meditation, and other wellness team members in a luxury retreat setting, while leveraging evidenced-based content and technology deliver the best practices in exercise sciences.

At Sensei, we balance purpose with play. Guests enjoy health coaching, 1:1 nutrition, movement, meditation and mindset sessions, body treatments, insight sessions, workshops, and a variety of outdoor activities – all designed to expand awareness and connection. The Sensei Guide works in multidisciplinary collaboration and is responsible for managing and coordinating activities of each guests’ wellness journey. This position is an integral leader of the guest experience, leveraging data, self-awareness, self-efficacy, and safety to deliver guided sessions. Combining spaces and environments to imbue feelings of safety and ease; domain expertise to interpret objective data and craft a personalized wellness plan; and health coaching to communicate this information in an empowering, affirming manner. Sensei has designed the guide program to manage the guest experience by supporting our guest in achieving greater wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and monitor the end-to-end guest experience, from initial consultation and assessment to their last send off session for life after Sensei
• Proactively connect with guests throughout their stay to provide touch points on their wellness journey
• Conduct Guide specific services, including but not limited to, My Intention, My Wellbeing, My Plan, Pre-Arrival and Post-Stay calls
