Senior Associate, FP&A

Position Summary
This role will be an integral contributor to the SCS FP&A function, with a strong emphasis on data analytics, financial systems, automation, and scalable reporting. The ideal candidate brings a technical and analytical skill set — with experience in data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, or financial systems — and can translate complex data into clear financial insights, executive-ready reporting, and actionable business recommendations.
The Senior Associate will partner closely with the Head of FP&A, CFO, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve financial reporting infrastructure, enhance forecasting and planning processes, support technology implementations, and deliver high-quality analysis for strategic initiatives. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous business problems, working with large and complex datasets, building repeatable analytical processes, and communicating insights to senior leaders.
This is a hybrid role based in Boston, MA.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with the Head of FP&A and CFO on critical finance, data, and technology initiatives, including financial systems implementations, reporting automation, and planning process improvements
- Build, maintain, and enhance scalable financial reporting and analytical tools using Excel, Power BI, SQL, planning systems, or other data visualization / business intelligence platforms
- Support the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes by improving data workflows, coordinating stakeholder inputs, managing timelines, and ensuring accuracy across financial models and reporting outputs
- Partner with finance, accounting, operations, and technology teams to improve data quality, streamline reporting processes, and automate recurring analyses where possible
- Translate business questions into structured analyses, dashboards, models, and reporting outputs that support decision-making across the organization
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring priorities, milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are met in a dynamic environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, data analytics, engineering, information systems, computer science, mathematics, or a related analytical field
- 3+ years of experience in IT development, data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, consulting, or a similarly analytical / technical environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex datasets and translate findings into clear business narratives
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills required; experience with Power BI, Python, Power Query, or similar data analytics / automation tools strongly preferred
- Experience building dashboards, automated reporting processes, financial models, or analytical tools that improve decision-making and reduce manual effort
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and key business performance drivers
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, Snowflake, data warehouses, or similar financial planning / data platforms is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems, manage analytical workstreams, and partner effectively with finance, technology, and senior business stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical or analytical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and comfortable balancing hands-on data work with executive-level communication and project management
This is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $90,000 - $110,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life and 401(k). Senior Associate, Finance (Billing Specialist)

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Associate to oversee end‑to‑end billing operations and the collection process. This individual will work closely with the Controller, as well as Client Service and Operations teams, to ensure accurate and timely billing while supporting strong revenue controls. The right candidate brings a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a process‑improvement mindset, with responsibilities that include maintenance of the billing system, internal controls testing, and ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the function.
This role is located in Boston, MA.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain billing system configuration for all advisory clients
- Execute quarterly fee collection process
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting support for internal stakeholders
- Manage accounts receivable activities to resolution
- Process any billing adjustments in accordance with firm policies and procedures
- Support SOX/internal revenue control testing
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors by gathering requested schedules, support, and explanations for billing and revenue activity
- Respond to ad-hoc inquiries from client advisors and other internal partners
- Identify and drive process improvements and automation; serving as a subject matter expert for the billing function.
- Partner with Technology, Operations, Trading, and Compliance to support system enhancements, data quality initiatives, and control improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years of experience in billing, financial operations, corporate accounting, or a related finance function.
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, large dataset manipulation) and high attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze data, reconcile results, and communicate findings to finance and non-finance partners.
- Experience working cross-functionally, managing deadlines in a cyclical/period-close environment.
- Experience with systems such as Addepar, Workday Financials, or billing and ERP systems (preferred).
- Working knowledge of custodians, money movement, and/or wealth management operations (preferred).
- Prior involvement with SOX controls and/or audit support (preferred).
- Experience with automation and reporting tools (e.g., Power Query/Power Pivot, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar).
- Comfort partnering with Technology teams on system enhancements, data quality controls, and process improvements

Position Summary
SCS Financial is seeking a detail-oriented and highly professional Bookkeeping Administrative Associate for the Bill Pay team to support the complex financial needs of our ultra-high-net-worth clients and their families. The ideal candidate brings a high level of discretion, integrity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, confidential environment.
This role is based in Portsmouth, NH.
Primary Responsibilities
The essential duties of the Bookkeeping Administrative Associate will include, and are not limited to:
- Receipt of client post office box mail from courier service and monitoring bookkeeping email inbox for electronic invoices and notices. Opening, sorting, scanning bills (as needed), and uploading to Hubdoc for approval to pay. Forwarding non-bill pay related mail on to other departments (including tax, insurance and other documents).
- Point of contact for all post office client mail related matters.
- Responsible for the overall maintenance of electronic filing of bill pay records (copying, scanning, saving and shredding paper).
- Responsible for bill pay client check deposits to various banks utilizing FedEx and Salesforce
- Assembly and processing of bookkeeping department outgoing FedEx packages to clients/vendors
- Assisting bookkeepers in obtaining all necessary approvals prior to payment.
- Assisting bookkeepers with various vendor related issues – including but not limited to changing billing addresses, setting up or updating auto-pay accounts, setting up or terminating utility accounts, and researching vendor billing issues.
- Assisting bookkeepers with bank, investment and credit card account reconciliations on a monthly basis utilizing QuickBooks.
- Assisting bookkeepers with other miscellaneous tasks and projects, as necessary.
- Facilitating and implementing technology and process improvement for all aspects of the job (including but not limited to record collection and retention, bill payment, reconciliations).
- Occasional back-up support for reception, as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with Salesforce and Hubdoc a plus
- Ability to prioritize work effectively, with a high level of accuracy and keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Candidates must display professionalism and exercise the utmost discretion.
- Ability and desire to continue to learn and develop
- Ability to spot inefficiencies (internal or external) and work with the team on process improvements
- College degree preferred with at least 2 years prior experience working with QuickBooks and providing administrative support.
- Experience working within Finance business area preferred.
- Desire to develop towards future Bookkeeper position or learning additional Bookkeeper tasks to assist the team
- Ability to push/pull/lift bulk mail (approximately ≤25 pounds).
This position is a non-exempt, overtime eligible position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $50,000–$60,000 base salary compensation range.
