Overview:

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Sagent, you will play a key role in the development and enhancement of our software solutions. Leveraging your extensive experience and theoretical knowledge base, you will lead initiatives to design, develop, test, debug, and implement software that powers our computers and technologies. Additionally, you will be responsible for determining software application design requirements, ensuring the successful implementation of software improvements, and generating software engineering policies, standards, and procedures.

Your day-to-day at Sagent:

Software Development:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high‐performance applications using Java, .NET Core, Node.js, SQL Server, and React Redux
• Build and deploy Microservices‐driven and Event‐Driven Architectures to improve system modularity, scalability, and responsiveness
• Develop and manage APIs and integrations, including RESTful services
• Leverage Azure and GCP for application hosting, cloud services, deployment, and scaling (including Function Apps and Blob Storage)
• Integrate MongoDB and other data stores to support both relational and NoSQL use cases
• Incorporate BPM tools and Rules Engines to implement workflow orchestration and business logic

Implementation and Monitoring:

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and reliability
• Implement unit and integration testing to ensure high code quality and system stability
• Ensure the successful implementation and monitoring of software application improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Policy and Procedure Generation:

• Generate software engineering policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across software development efforts.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, leveraging your technical expertise to support their professional development.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with product, architecture, DevOps, and other cross‐functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant discipline with 4 - 6 years of experience in a related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of four years of experience in software engineering roles, with a focus on designing, developing, testing, debugging, and implementing software solutions.

Strong hands‐on expertise with:

• Practical experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure and GCP

• Demonstrated expertise in software application design and development, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing software application improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex technical challenges.
• Experience in generating software engineering policies, standards, and procedures is preferred.Familiarity with all aspects of software development, from detailed programming to high-level architecture design, is advantageous.

Additional Skills Preferred:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration technologies
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Knowledge of distributed systems, event streaming, and scalability patterns

About the Opportunity:

Sagent is looking for an Office Administrator to support our new location in Dallas, Texas in the Cypress Waters business park. This role is the front door of the office and the go-to person for keeping the workplace running smoothly—supporting employees and leaders, coordinating vendors and deliveries, and ensuring the office is stocked, welcoming, and organized. As a tech company, this position involves minimal physical filing and is primarily focused on office operations, administrative support, and a great on-site experience for employees and visitors.

This role is a full-time, in-office position.  

Your Day to Day at Sagent:

• Reception & Front Desk: Serve as the first point of contact—greet and assist visitors, answer and route calls/emails, and ensure a professional, welcoming experience.
• Badge System & Visitor Access: Support the office badge/visitor process, including welcoming guests, coordinating access as needed, and following site procedures.
• Office & Breakroom Supplies: Own inventory for office and breakroom supplies; place orders, restock, and coordinate deliveries to keep the office running day to day.
• Scheduling & Conference Rooms: Coordinate meeting logistics and conference room bookings; help prevent scheduling conflicts and ensure rooms are set up for success (as needed).
• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance including document support, light scanning/copying, basic data entry, and maintaining organized digital records (minimal physical filing).
• Mail, Shipping & Deliveries: Receive and distribute mail and packages; coordinate courier pickups/drop-offs and manage incoming deliveries.
• Facilities & Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with building management and vendors for service requests, repairs, and general office needs; help keep shared areas professional and functional.
• Administrative Coordination: Provide light support with invoices, expense tracking, and simple spreadsheets, as needed.
• Office Events & Visits: Help coordinate on-site office events (team meetings, celebrations, etc.) and support visit logistics, including light travel coordination when needed.

Executive & Administrative Support:

• Provide administrative and light executive assistance to senior leaders (SVP-level) as needed.
• Support calendar management and meeting coordination, including scheduling, room setup, and occasional visitor logistics. 

We’d love it if you had:

• 2–3 years of experience as an Office Administrator, Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in a similar office support role.
• Working knowledge of office operations, procedures, and vendor coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel) and comfort learning new tools.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced office.
• High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional, customer-service mindset.
• Strong organizational skills and follow-through.
• Ability to identify opportunities to improve office processes and employee experience.
