About the Team :

As an Engineering Manager for the CPD Pune team, you will lead multiple teams of Software Engineers (SEs) to provide long-term stability and last-mile delight to our customers.

You will be in high demand, and this role requires a strong leader who brings empathy and creates engagement while maintaining high quality. You are expected to provide structure to prioritize work that has the biggest impact on Rubrik’s customers.

About Role :

As a manager for this team, you will be responsible for -

1. Bootstrap the team(s) where necessary by effectively contributing towards hiring strong engineers.
2. Lead the team as a role model, with technical and operational involvement on the ground.
3. You are expected to build a high-performing team, creating a culture of excellence in a fast-paced environment.
4. Interact with customers and/or the support organization to troubleshoot issues and provide clarity on its impact.
5. Work with the PM and other stakeholders to plan the roadmap and own feature delivery end-to-end.
6. Champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement with a metrics-driven culture. You are expected to drive initiatives to improve metrics such as MTTR and CFDs (Customer found defects).
7. Work closely with engineering leaders to drive the roadmap of quality improvements, fixes, tooling, and documentation.
8. Project planning and prioritization - Be able to drive the roadmap while providing support to incoming operational work.
9. Help employees grow through career development, coaching, and mentoring while guiding senior contributors to maximize their potential. You are expected to bring clarity on their respective goals and provide consistent feedback.

About You

• Accomplished engineer with a proven track record of solving complex problems and handling large-scale projects of large in distributed systems - preferably in the domains of storage, data protection, and security.
• BE CS or equivalent with 11+ years of industry experience, of which 2+ years is in Engineering Management
• Prior experience in hiring and developing teams is desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in delivering enterprise products, with high quality standards, and resolving technical issues of a large customer base.
• Background in dealing with hot customer escalations - being able to work with your team to quickly turn around the situation. Leading from the front.

About the team:

The Technical Program Management team is responsible for planning, management and execution of several major technical programs per year for the Engineering organization across the entire portfolio of cloud data management products. This team owns and manages multiple concurrent, and often conflicting, priorities; achieving results through logic, communication, business judgment and personal relationships; and ultimately delivering products of the highest quality. 

About the role:

Rubrik is currently seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our dynamic Engineering Program Management organization. This role will be based in Pune and will report directly to the Sr. Director of Technical Program Management.

We are looking for a TPM who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and possesses strong technical acumen. Your ability to drive outcomes will be highly valued, encompassing the creation and maintenance of project momentum, decisive action, obstacle removal, risk management, minimizing delays, proactive communication, and timely delivery of features and products.

What you'll Do

As a TPM your ultimate goal will be to deliver products of the highest quality. Additionally, you will:

• Be responsible for planning, managing, and executing several major technical programs and initiatives each year for our Engineering Organization across our Product portfolio. 
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Leadership and functions such as Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support etc. to prioritize, plan, and deliver new features and products to the market. 
• Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and effective program execution (conduct cross-functional stand-ups / scrum of scrums).  This will involve feature prioritization, planning, milestone tracking, risk management, risk mitigation, metrics & status reporting, escalations (when needed), beta programs etc.
• Oversee the management of product releases, release metrics & release processes
• Create & optimize processes based on learnings to ensure predictable, consistent, and top-quality execution.
• Define metrics and success criteria for programs & monitor them through the Product Development Life Cycle.
• To succeed in this role, you must be adept at juggling multiple concurrent priorities, often with conflicting requirements. You will achieve results through logical thinking, effective communication, sound business judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority. 

Experience and qualifications you'll need:

The qualifications and skills required for the role include:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering program or project management.
• Proven track record of leading and executing large projects or initiatives within a complex and fast-paced organizational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Agile product development and experience working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features to the market on time and with high quality.
• Thorough understanding of Product Development Life cycle, software release cycles, processes, metrics & tools. Capable of managing feature delivery processes and driving process improvements, reviewing metrics to enhance efficiency & driving OKRs.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to comprehend the broader context of complex problems. Proficient in problem-solving techniques to prioritize tasks and manage obstacles and risks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred experience:

• Experience in release management, particularly in SaaS and On-Premises environments is advantageous

As a Senior Software Engineer (SSE) in the Continuous Product Development (CPD) team, you will play a key role in leading team(s) towards owning the roadmap, providing long-term stability, and providing delight to our enterprise customers. You will work closely with leadership and multiple stakeholders from other engineering teams, the Product and Support organizations. 

You will be working across Rubrik releases on our on-premise data backup & SAAS offering. You are expected to develop a strong understanding of our product and engineering architecture, such as our distributed job framework, data lifecycle management, filesystem, and metadata store. 

We are seeking a highly skilled senior engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance software applications. You should have strong programming and troubleshooting skills, excellent design skills, and an understanding of distributed systems. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team. Having an understanding of the storage domain will be preferred, but is not necessary.

As a C++ Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance software applications using C++ programming language. You should have strong programming and troubleshooting skills, excellent design skills, and understanding of distributed systems. The successful candidate will preferably have a good understanding of the storage domain and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
