This position will focus on logistics purchasing and will be part of a sourcing team, owning supplier and partner relationships, defining the category and supply base strategy, and managing and negotiating Logistics NDAs, Master Service Agreements/Statements of Work, and related contractual execution activities.

For California Only - The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $120,000 - $135,000 annually. What you'll be doing

• Manage the Logistics Sourcing category and own the engagements at all levels with carriers, suppliers, and partners. This includes ownership of all partnerships and a sourcing portfolio that enables Roku to manage transportation, customs, and warehousing spend.
• Negotiate and gain agreement to Statements of Work, Master Service Agreements, NDA, and other contracts with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Negotiate, manage, coordinate, and support Logistics sourcing activities for all modes of Freight (air, ocean, trucking, and final mile), including warehousing and brokerage, preparing RFx, managing the process, and analyzing competitive bids using the eSourcing tool.
• Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as point of contact for all commercial issues, including internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, availability, and cost status
• Identify cost optimization opportunities by facilitating internal and partner team collaboration to achieve year-over-year improvements.
• Host QBR and carrier scorecard reviews and work with carriers on a range of topics, including operations, invoicing, performance concerns, purchase orders, cost savings, etc.
• Achieve established commitments on total cost results, supply, quality, claims, and compliance adherence, and on-time delivery
• Travel 10% to visit suppliers and stakeholders to perform business and program reviews

• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or Business is required. Master’s degree a plus
• 3-5 years of experience in Logistics Purchasing, preferably within the consumer electronics / hi-tech industry, is a plus
• Direct experience sourcing Transportation services (Ocean, Air, LTL, Parcel, Truckload, Final Mile), Warehousing services, and Customs preferred
• Knowledge of operational experience within Logistics & Distribution and eSourcing tools
• Demonstrated skills in negotiating and formulating contracts for services procurement, understanding of outsourcing models and cost associated with them, total cost models, should cost model, service rate benchmarking and contractual negotiation
• The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
• Self-motivated and self-directed; however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• Fluent verbal and written communication in English and interpersonal skills

About the role 

We are seeking an experienced individual to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier management for our hardware consumer electronics category. This role is pivotal in optimizing our supply chain operations by developing and executing procurement strategies that ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of electronic components and finished goods. 

You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Legal—to support new product development and manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop, implement, and manage global sourcing strategies for hardware components, including System-on-Chip (SOC), memory, and other semiconductors, as well as manufacturing services, including CM, ODM, and JDM partnerships
• Identify and qualify new suppliers; manage supplier relationships to ensure performance on cost, quality, lead time, and capacity
• Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and cost negotiations
• Lead contract negotiations, including NDAs, MDSA, SOWs, and other supply agreements
• Partner with Product and Engineering throughout the Product Development Process (PDP, ensuring sourcing is aligned with technical and timeline requirements
• Support design-to-cost decisions during development and cost initiatives for sustaining programs

• Ensure accurate BOM cost roll-ups and reporting of pricing data
• Use data to drive decisions and continuously improve procurement efficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
• 8+ years of experience in hardware procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within the consumer electronics or high-tech industry
• Strong understanding of components sourcing and semiconductor supply chain
• Experience in a tech start-up or scaling a hardware company
• Experience in executive reporting, including preparing and presenting supplier strategy, risk, and cost updates to senior leadership
• A proven track record supporting Product Development Process (PDP) and managing procurement during New Product Introduction (NPI) phases
• Experience working with CMs/ODMs and international suppliers
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities

We are seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations – Players & Remotes with a strong background in manufacturing, supplier management, and cost optimization to lead a team of senior program managers.

 Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Operations, this leader will own complex product initiatives from NPI through sustaining, ensuring operational excellence in product development processes and supply chain metric tracking. The role combines strategic vision with tactical execution, requiring both cross-functional leadership and hands-on approach to build credibility on the factory floor.

What you’ll be doing

Strategic and Operational Leadership 

• Lead program planning and supplier execution for Roku’s Players and Remote product lines
• Bring Program Management, Technical Operations, and Quality together into a single operating model for the organization
• Keep executives aligned through clear reporting on readiness, risks, and tradeoffs
• Build repeatable ways of working that improve launch speed and product quality over time

Manufacturing and Supplier Execution 

• Work with ODMs and suppliers on production readiness, line bring-up, and ramp-to-volume
• Drive capacity planning and risk assessments to support stable volume production
• Step in on supplier escalations around production, yield, reliability, and quality to ensure rapid recovery
• Spend meaningful time onsite in Asia to build trust and solve problems on the factory floor

Technical Rigor and Validation 

• Onsite supplier support for NPI development (e.g. Proto, EVT, DVT); ensuring proper engineering rigor and appropriate validation to support product ramp requirements
• Partner with Engineering to bake DFx, repairability, automation, and reliability into design
• Run technical reviews with suppliers covering process optimization, test coverage, root cause, and corrective actions
• Oversee product qualification checklist ensuring validation and reliability testing so products meet performance and quality standards at launch
• Carry lessons learned forward into the next generation of products

Cost Optimization and Process Improvement 

• Identify cost-down opportunities in design, materials, and processes
• Lead tradeoff reviews, balancing low-risk savings with higher-payoff, higher-risk options
• Owns operational budgets and maintain a clear roadmap of cost-reduction initiatives

Operational Excellence and Post-Launch Performance 

• Track yield, scrap, utilization, and production plan vs actual to hold teams accountable
• Contain and resolve post-launch quality or reliability issues quickly using supplier and customer data
• Build closed-loop processes across Engineering, Operations, and Customer Care to eliminate repeat field issues

Tools & Systems 

• Leverage systems, dashboards, and AI tools to improve accuracy, yield, and cost modeling
• Develop predictive insights on cost reduction, supplier risk, and production performance
• Champion digital adoption to replace manual tracking and scale execution globally

Team Development 

• Lead and mentor a global team of senior program managers with both technical and operational depth
• Build a culture of accountability, data-driven decisions, and clear communication
• Strengthen collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance

We’re excited if you have

• 10+ years in operations, technical program management, or manufacturing leadership with direct accountability for product launches
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes including FATP, SMT, NPI validation, reliability testing, yield analysis, and supplier capacity planning
• Track record of supplier collaboration to drive yield, cost, and quality improvements
• Experience with DFx, alternate sourcing, automation, and packaging optimization
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence executives and align global teams
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business preferred
• Role requires 15-20% international travel
