Rockstar Games is looking for a highly capable and experienced Senior Nuke Compositor to join our Video Production Department for short term contract work.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s new state-of-the-art game development studio in Carlsbad, CA. 

WHAT WE DO

• The Rockstar Games Video Production Dept creates all trailers and video assets released online, on social media, on broadcast TV and in Cinema.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• 2D and 3D track, matchmove, composite, paint, and roto work.
• Adapt and follow our current workflow and styles.
• Function in a fast-paced environment with tight turnarounds.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of industry experience on major motion picture / TV projects.
• Fluency with latest versions of Foundry NukeX, Boris FX Mocha Pro, and related plug-ins.
• Experience with various formats, frame rates, and compression details.
• Experience working within a team environment as part of a larger production pipeline.
• Must demonstrate strong communication skills to foster collaboration within the team.
• Strong artistic aesthetic and eye for detail.
• Ability to work well with various styles and methods of execution.

Rockstar Games is seeking a highly skilled, meticulous Production Artist to join our Creative Services team on a temporary basis. This role is critical in bringing our creative vision to life across a wide range of global campaigns. You will collaborate closely with designers, art directors, and marketing teams to create high-quality assets across digital, social, and print channels, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and polish at every stage.

This is a full-time, temporary, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. 

WHAT WE DO

• The Creative Services team at Rockstar works on projects that include a wide variety of creative assets to promote and support the brand and our games.
• We make creative assets for company branding, digital, print & package design, and advertising campaigns.
• We also create promotional materials, assets for events, in-game creative, and other marketing materials to support all our titles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce final creative assets across multiple formats, inculding:
  • Digital advertising (display, rich media, platform-specific formats)
  • Social media content (static motion-ready layouts, platform variations)
  • Key art adaptations and campaign rollouts
  • Print production (OOH, packaging, retail, and promotional materials)
  • Prepare and version assets for global distribution.
• Ensure all files meet technical specifications and platform requirements.
• Maintain brand consistency across all deliverables while upholding Rockstar’s high visual standards.
• Collaborate with Art Directors and Designers to translate creative concepts into production-ready files. 
• Lead multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and proactively identify solutions.
• Organize, archive, and maintain production files and asset libraries.
• Support live service publishing needs, including ongoing updates, in-game promotional assets, and time-sensitive content drops.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience as a production artist or in a similar role.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong understanding of digital and print production workflows.
• Experience preparing files for diverse ad platforms.
• Knowledge of color management, typography and layout systems.
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The ideal candidate is a multi-disciplinary designer with strong visual design and UX skills and a deep understanding of the advantages and limitations of digital media to create experiences that are cutting-edge, aesthetically stunning, user-friendly, and highly functional. This person will collaborate with other designers, developers, and producers across departments, and enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment with an attention to detail and innovative thinking.

WHAT WE DO

• The Rockstar Games Digital Marketing Team creates innovative digital experiences to expand and further enhance our players’ relationship with Rockstar Games’ suite of innovative products.
• We lead a range of projects that include website, social, and other digital marketing experiences.
• We improve existing features and architect new, exciting solutions to support the continued enhancement of the digital experience for our community.
• We collaborate with and ensure workflow efficiency across all marketing, product, creative, and publishing teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate product requirements, business objectives, and user needs into visually impactful product features.
• Design refined, original, and on-brand UI layouts and details.
• Masterfully employ dynamic interactions and animation into digital products to gain attention and improve engagement.
• Work closely with developers to bring designs and interactions to life. 
• Collaborate with a team of in-house graphic designers, illustrators, animators and other creative teams to help develop assets from concept to final delivery. 
• Effectively communicate ideas and design decisions to colleagues, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
• Balance technical constraints while staying true to the look and feel, and overall art-direction of Rockstar’s products.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience designing and shipping large-scale, customer-facing digital products.
• Proficient with current design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe After Effects, Principle, Framer).
• Ability to collaborate with highly technical teams to deliver large-scale projects.
• Refined sense of color, typography, and composition.
• Experience contributing to shared component libraries in Figma.
• Understanding of UX methodology and user-centered design.
• Working knowledge of protocols around accessibility and inclusivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with a team of in-house designers, illustrators, and animators to develop creative materials from concept to final artwork.
• Ensure high-quality design concepts and complete creative materials as required.
• Work with the marketing team to effectively handle our creative projects and enhance department productivity.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously to realize the organization's creative marketing goals.
• Deliver all phases of production from concept to completion (e.g. mockups, hi-fidelity comps, production ready assets and guidelines for usage).

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of graphic design experience with a strong track record for developing striking visual identities and key art for a variety of industries and brands.
• Mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and typography.
• Passion for conceptual ideation and design execution.
• Knowledge and understanding of digital, print and production processes.
• A strong interest and passion for art, design, games, music, film, and contemporary culture in general is critical.
• Independently take objectives from conceptualization to finish.
• Ability to be proactive, to identify new creative ways to help support the brand and the games.
• Capable of working independently while also collaborating as part of a larger team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate multiple projects, and perform well in a deadline-focused environment.
