ABOUT SUPPLY CHAIN AT ROCKET LAB:
Rocket Lab’s Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business. With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers’ missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together, and are critical to our success.
PRODUCTION PLANNER II
As a Production Planner II based at Rocket Lab’s site in Auckland, NZ you will have the opportunity to support the production of Electron rockets or satellite systems. In this role you will work on coordinating production schedules, optimizing workflows, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- The Production Planner II will constantly champion schedule adherence with daily detailed scheduling and planning of work orders.
- The Production Planner II supports production to achieve on time delivery of dependent demands in accordance with the Master Production Schedule.
- Responsible for shop floor inventory positions and accuracy, the Production Planner works closely with manufacturing engineering and inventory control to identify and resolve any discrepancies with raw material and semifinished goods inventory.
- You will support the Supply Chain organization, with deliverables required for internal leadership, board of directors, and investors.
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years' experience in a Production Planning or relevant position, ideally in a manufacturing / engineering environment
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math, and statistics
- Understanding of planning related ERP processes and requirements including MRP
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse problems, propose solutions and/or make recommendations and act
- Flexible team player who is looking to thrive in a fast-growing and often-times uncertain environment

MANAGER, PLANNING & FULFILLMENT
Based onsite at Rocket Lab's Middle River, MD facility, The Manager, Planning & Fulfillment will lead a team with responsibility for ensuring raw materials, and components are delivered supporting production needs, efficiently. This role will fully understand our supply chain and production operations. They will develop inventory strategies and drive execution. The Manager, Planning & Fulfillment requires engagement with Rocket Lab US and New Zealand across the extended supply chain.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:
- Responsible for managing a team of Material and Production Planners.
- Responsible for creating material demand within MRP, and managing material supply for Production and R&D.
- Responsible for ensuring part master data within MRP is accurate.
- Create material visibility across the business (with line of balance reports, material shortage reports, clear to build reports, etc.).
- Identify part supply constraints that may impact production schedule, and create mitigation plans.
- Work in a cross functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals.
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or other relevant fields.
- 8+ years of related experience as Material Planner, Production Planner, Buyer type of function & a bachelors degree or equivalent years of work experience (12+ years total work experience)
- Proven ability to manage demand planning and supply planning within MRP.
- Proven ability to create new processes and deploy effective systems.
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics.
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
- Proficient in SQL and MRP systems.
- Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing.
- Prior experience in rapid growth environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently.

- Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines.

SENIOR MASTER SCHEDULER II
Based onsite at Rocket Lab's global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Senior Master Scheduler II is a centerpiece of all schedule-related activities supporting Space Systems development and manufacturing. In this role, you aren’t just managing a schedule; you are optimizing a high-velocity value chain. You will be counted on to identify missing pieces in day-to-day operations, support the implementation of process improvements, and help drive new scheduling norms across the Space Systems group. Our ideal candidate is an assertive, creative thinker who loves building best practices and improving processes in a fast-paced, technically focused environment.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Develop, maintain, and analyze schedules for Rocket Lab Space Systems programs. Ensure vertical and horizontal integration across all program tiers.
- Ensure schedules are aligned with project objectives and resource availability. Identify potential bottlenecks and support the development of mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Project Managers, Engineering, and Supply Chain to gather accurate data and ensure program signals are reflected with surgical precision.
- Create and deliver timely schedule reports and dashboards. You will help apprise Program Managers of schedule performance and "margin erosion."
- Create and maintain scheduling tools and processes (using ERP/MRP, SQL, or PowerBI) that improve the efficiency and quality of reporting.
- Provide clear priorities to production teams and manage "push/pull" signals to reduce lead times and ensure delivery targets are met.
- Support root cause analysis for schedule slips and help implement scalable solutions using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL BRING:
- 8+ years of experience as a Scheduler in a New Space, Aerospace, or other technical industry, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (12+ years of total work experience).
- Detailed knowledge and familiarity with MS Project and JIRA
- Demonstrated ability to read technical documentation and understand complex hardware assembly sequences
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Basic experience writing SQL queries or building data visualizations (IE. Power BI) to track health metrics
- U.S citizenship is required, due to program requirements
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Infor LN ERP experience
- Exposure to VBA or Python to automate scheduling workflows
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance

FULFILLMENT PLANNER I
Based on site at our Rocket Lab Headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Fulfillment Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials for production, focusing on tactical execution rather than strategic sourcing. This role requires strong organizational, technical, and communication skills to manage purchase orders, purchase schedules, and supplier relationships while ensuring alignment with production needs and company goals. It is ideal for individuals with experience in material planning and procurement in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Create, Modify and Manage purchase orders and purchase schedules for production products, ensuring accuracy and alignment with production needs.
- Maintain purchase order and purchase schedule data within ERP systems.
- Ensure order acknowledgments are received directly from suppliers or via supplier portals.
- Monitor and ensure on-time delivery of purchased items, escalating delays or issues to the Strategic Sourcing and Quality teams.
- Ensure purchased items are to the latest revision and meet engineering and quality requirements.
- Manage obsolete and end-of-life products to prevent unusable inventory.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
- Escalate cost or quality concerns to the Strategic Sourcing and Quality teams for resolution.
- Ensure demand, supply, and fulfillment planning aligns with production schedules.
- Update demand to accommodate engineering change orders and communicate changes to suppliers.
- Provide visibility into material positions using tools such as material shortage reports, clear-to-build reports, and line of balance reports.
- Work closely with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment with company-wide goals.
- Communicate material status and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate bill of materials (BOM), parts, and master data within ERP systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to procurement and material planning.
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of work experience (6+ years total work experience).
- Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems for managing purchase orders, purchase schedules, and material planning.
- Proven knowledge of material planning fundamentals, including master data management, BOM management, and planning release and fulfillment.
- Ability to produce material line of balance reports and conduct clear-to-build reviews.
- Proficiency in MS Office, math, and statistics for data analysis and reporting.

They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together, and are critical to our success.
MATERIAL PLANNER II
Based onsite at Rocket Labs global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Material Planner is responsible for managing MRP and planning for every part that Rocket Lab makes or buys. Material Planners are quarterbacks on a very large team of players that support operations and supply chain; they call the plays and ensure everyone within production and supply chain know their next action. Material planners interact with engineering, quality, production, supply chain, and finance, to ensure they are planning and managing the production schedule, supplier lead times, inventory levels, and engineering build timelines.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Responsible for demand, supply, and fulfilment planning within MRP
- Responsible for ensuring bill of materials, parts, and master data, are maintained within ERP
- Accountable for timely release of purchase planning messages to procurement
- Accountable for timely release of work orders to production
- Responsible for updating demand to accommodate engineering change orders, and communicating changes to procurement.
- Accountable for creating visibility of material position (with line of balance reports, material shortage reports, clear to build reports, etc.)
- Work in a cross functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain.
- Proven ability to produce material line of balance, and conduct clear to build reviews
- Proven knowledge of Material Planning fundamentals for master data management, order policy, BOM management, and planning release and fulfillment.
- Proficient in MRP systems
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
