We are currently recruiting for a Senior infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join our global Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential.  

As a Senior Infrastructure & Database Engineer, you will: 

• Act as technical lead for infrastructure and cloud projects, owning delivery from planning through to implementation 
• Own and support SQL and database platforms, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across production environments 
• Drive architectural decision-making within the infrastructure team, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to best practices 
• Build, configure, and maintain infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premise environments 
• Support and optimise VMware-based platforms, including compute, storage, and associated services 
• Lead incident response for complex issues, acting as an escalation point and driving root cause analysis 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, data) to deliver reliable and high-performing platform services  
• Accurately track and update work in Jira and Tempo, ensuring visibility of progress, discovered work, and blockers 

Key Requirements:

• Strong Understanding supporting SQL environments and data platform infrastructure 
• Strong experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments (cloud and on-premise) 
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including core infrastructure services 
• In-depth experience of VMware virtualisation and enterprise infrastructure platforms 
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and core services  
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code 
• Proven experience leading technical projects and leading architectural decisions 

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)

The DevSecOps Engineer role has been created to embed security into our engineering, DevOps and cloud delivery pipelines. Working closely with our Development, DevOps, Infrastructure and Security teams, you will engineer, automate and maintain security controls across our CI/CD pipelines, cloud workloads and application lifecycle. 

This position is critical in uplifting our secure by design practices, reducing vulnerabilities, and ensuring our rapidly evolving development environments adhere to best-in-class security standards. (Infosec presentations highlight the explicit gap for DevSecOps capability and security integration into Dev and Cloud projects).

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or equivalent). 
• Implement automated SAST, SCA, DAST, container scanning and secrets management controls. (Referenced in secure development lifecycle expectations.)   
• Work with Development and DevOps teams to ensure secure design principles, threat modelling and secure coding practices are embedded early in the lifecycle. 
• Engineer and maintain tooling for vulnerability management across code, containers, pipelines and cloud workloads. 
• Automate security guardrails across Azure resources, Kubernetes clusters, API gateways, serverless workloads and service meshes. 
• Support and enhance the deployment of security policies (IAM, key vaults, network controls, hardening baselines). 
• Partner with engineering squads to review architecture changes and ensure security requirements are addressed. 
• Contribute to incident response activities where application or pipeline security is implicated. 
• Contribute to uplift of our secure engineering policies, developer training and SSDLC processes. (Supports expectations stated in internal assessments and training docs).

Requirements:

• Experienced in DevOps or platform engineering with a strong security mindset. 
• Hands-on experience with at least one CI/CD platform (Azure DevOps preferred). 
• Good understanding of application security principles (OWASP Top 10, SANS/CWE Top 25). 
• Experience integrating or running security scanners: SAST, SCA, DAST, container scanning, IaC scanning. 
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Helm). 
• Familiar with cloud security (preferably Azure) and container security best practices. 
• Capable of supporting vulnerability management processes and remediation workflows. 
• Ability to collaborate with Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Cloud and Security teams. 
• Strong communicator able to translate risk into engineering friendly language.

The Opportunity 

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to take on the role of Global Head of Pipeline Operations and Client Experience, a critical position responsible for ensuring operational excellence and delivering a seamless client experience across our global data management ecosystem. This role is central to the daily functioning and continuous improvement of our Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Benchmarks & Indices (B&I), and Matrix products—each of which plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, timely, and accurate data to our clients. 

The successful candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of Pipeline Operations, from feed onboarding and maintenance to exception handling and service performance monitoring. They will lead globally distributed teams focused on Level 1 and Level 2 support, ensuring that client queries are resolved efficiently and escalated appropriately.  

This role demands a hands-on understanding of data workflows, infrastructure dependencies, and client service dynamics, with a strong focus on operational reliability, SLA adherence, and proactive issue resolution. 

In addition to operational oversight, this leader will be accountable for shaping the client experience strategy—ensuring that every touchpoint across EDM, B&I, and Matrix products reflects our commitment to excellence, responsiveness, and partnership. They will act as the final escalation point for complex service issues, collaborate closely with Sales and Account Management, and drive alignment across internal teams to support client retention and growth. 

This is a high-impact, senior leadership role requiring deep expertise in data operations, client service frameworks, and cross-functional team management within a fast-paced, data-driven environment. 

Responsibilities: 

Pipeline Operations Leadership 

• Own the end-to-end quality and reliability of data pipelines, including feed maintenance, onboarding/offboarding, change management, and exception handling. 
• Lead global teams responsible for Level 1 and Level 2 query resolution, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of complex issues. 
• Oversee infrastructure support, system monitoring, and SLA adherence to ensure operational excellence. 
• Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and automation to enhance scalability and efficiency. 

Client Experience Strategy 

• Define and execute a holistic client experience strategy that integrates service performance and service transition across all operational teams. 
• Deliver a bespoke, informed client experience tailored to client needs and expectations. 
• Act as the final escalation point for complex service-related issues across all accounts. 
• Establish and maintain a client service framework with regular, meaningful touchpoints across the client lifecycle. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Product teams to align operational delivery with client expectations and business goals. 
• Develop and maintain feedback mechanisms to capture, understand, and act on client insights.
