You will join a highly collaborative compensation team of self‑driven individuals who value teamwork, practical problem‑solving, and thoughtful decision‑making. You’ll partner closely with internal teams such as Finance, HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Legal and Equity to translate business strategy into scalable compensation programs across broad-based, sales, and executive/equity compensation.

This role will actively participate in evolving and scaling our compensation programs and philosophy.  You are a trusted subject-matter expert who independently leads complex, cross‑functional projects, shapes best practices, and influences strategy and decisions across multiple functions.

You will be responsible for: 

• Data-Driven Insights:  Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for senior leaders, HRBPs, and Talent partners.
• Compensation Program Design: Utilize expertise to design innovative and competitive compensation programs that align with and support the company's business strategy.  
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across various functions to plan, develop, implement, and administer compensation programs.

What we’re looking for:

Experience & Skills

• 8–10+ years of progressive experience in compensation or closely related analytical roles, ideally in high‑growth technology or similarly dynamic environments.
• Deep understanding of compensation principles and practices across base pay, bonus, and equity (including program design, job architecture, ranges, market benchmarking, and pay equity).
• Demonstrated strength in quantitative analysis and modeling, including advanced skills in Google Sheets/Excel (e.g., modeling, scenario analysis, data visualization).
• Experience partnering with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to support comp cycles, offers, promotions, and budgeting.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and making thoughtful tradeoffs among market alignment, internal equity, performance, and budget.
• Familiarity with Greenhouse, Workday, Pave or Compa a plus

As an expert in the field, you will have ownership in shaping our global ER strategy. You won't just be managing cases; you'll be the architect of how Reddit balances global compliance with a community-first culture. We are looking for an experienced Global Employee Relations Lead to join our HRBP & Organisational Development team, a sub function of our wider People & Culture team (P&C). 

As a subject matter expect you will own impact on how we manage and deliver a best in class people and leadership experience through employee relations matters. Role Description:

As a Global ER Partner, you’ll lead complex ER cases, provide expert advice, and develop frameworks that empower our leaders and employees to do their best work. Reporting to the Director HRBP, International and working closely with HRBPs, senior stakeholders and our Legal team, your contributions will strengthen performance impact and enhance the employee experience.

This collaborative position lets you operate across regions, leveraging your smart thinking, solid communication skills, employment law expertise and solution oriented focus in a global organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the management of ER matters end to end, including disciplinary matters, grievances, policy investigations 
• Advise and support managers on managing long term leaves of absence and underperformance cases with care and efficiency.
• Create and maintain country specific ER resources, including toolkits, templates and process guides. 
• Tracking and logging cases to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with audit requirements.
• Partner with HRBPs to identify trends in ER matters, contributing to the design and delivery of business targeted initiatives such as workshops and training to enhance people management skills.
• Collaborate with Legal and external counsel to seek employment related advice where needed.
• Provide expert guidance on organisational changes, including managing risks and people impacts across regions.
• Support HRBPs with sensitive and complex matters such as severance, redundancies and settlement agreements.
• Offer mediation and conflict resolution support where required.
• Partner with the HR Operations and Legal teams to develop and update Employee Handbooks and policies across regions.

Required Experience:

• You have at least 8+ years total HR / 4+ years specialized ER experience with exposure to complex end to end casework in a global business.
• Expert-level fluency with current European (UK, Ireland, Netherlands, German, Italian) & US employment laws and practice, wanting to explore employee relations in global contexts and cross-border management best practices. 
• Knowledge of employment laws and practice in our other global locations (APAC) is preferred.
