Learning Experience Designer

The Learning Experience Designer at Recorded Future focuses on creating high quality user education that builds Platform engagement. Working closely with SMEs, you will translate cybersecurity concepts into clear, practical learning experience. In this role, you will develop end-to-end instructional content, from videos to interactive modules, that helps users not only master the Recorded Future Platform but successfully apply it in their daily jobs.
What You’ll Do:
Instructional Design and Curriculum Development:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to distill complex cybersecurity topics into clear, engaging content and role-specific scenarios for all users of the Recorded Future Platform.
- Craft SMART learning objectives, effective assessments, aligned with industry frameworks (i.e. NICE) that drive measurable performance outcomes, ensuring training is practical and applicable to the learners daily tasks.
- Leverage proven instructional design models (ADDIE / SAM / Blooms / Design Thinking) to analyze learner needs and structure sound and visually engaging learning solutions.
Content Delivery and Project Management:
- Consistently deliver courses on schedule, aligned with program timelines, priorities, and stakeholder expectations to ensure timely and effective enablement.
- Proactively maintain and enhance training content to reflect evolving product capabilities and emerging customer needs, ensuring every asset remains current and relevant to current workflows.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and brand consistency across all deliverables by performing thorough quality checks and peer reviews to ensure error free and professional learning experiences.
What You'll Bring:
- Ability to rapidly create a storyboard from raw SME data, including the use of interactions, knowledge checks, videos, and images to design interactive, visually compelling, and instructionally sound eLearning experiences.
- Expertise with the Articulate Rise.
- Proficiency using Camtasia for media production and editing (audio and video) to enhance learner engagement and elevate the overall quality of instructional content.
- Solid understanding of core cybersecurity principles, ensuring learning experiences are technically accurate and relevant.
- Instructional Design certificate recently earned or in progress, demonstrating commitment to ongoing professional development and mastery of learning design principles.
- Experience in end-to-end content development with a track record of delivering clear, impactful and professional learning programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in learning management system (LMS) administration, with a strong understanding of platform functionality, learning analytics, and content development workflows.

Technical Trainer

As a Technical Cybersecurity Trainer & Curriculum Developer, you will design and deliver customer-facing training experiences that help users understand and apply threat intelligence to their operational environments. Working under moderate supervision, you will take ownership of specific modules and sessions, contribute to hands-on lab development, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support the success of both new and experienced customers.
What You'll Do:
- Focus on complex platform features, APIs, and integration guides for developer and enterprise audiences.
- Deliver instructor-led training (ILT) in live or virtual formats, including "Getting Started" and foundational courses.
- Design, maintain, and improve hands-on exercises, product walkthroughs, and Capture the Flag (CTF) activities under guidance.
- Build and update customer-facing training assets, including slide decks, handouts, and facilitator guides.
- Collaborate with senior trainers and instructional designers to align training materials with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.
- Support and co-facilitate intermediate-level product workshops with experienced team members.
- Partner with Product and Customer Success teams to ensure curriculum reflects evolving product features and use cases.
- Assist in evaluating learner feedback and analytics to drive continuous improvement in training.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years in a technical training, cybersecurity analyst, or instructional design role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and operational security use cases.
- Familiarity with adult learning theory and training best practices.
- Experience delivering virtual training via platforms such as Zoom, Webex, or Microsoft Teams.
- Basic proficiency with instructional tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia, Snagit).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for external audiences.
- Team player mindset with eagerness to learn and grow.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CEH or CompTIA CySA+ certification (or equivalent)
- Experience using or teaching with threat intelligence platforms
- Exposure to building MITRE ATT&CK-aligned training materials
- Some experience with hands-on lab or simulation development
- Knowledge of frameworks like NICE or NIST CSF
- An understanding of customer enablement or product adoption concepts.

The Senior Learning Experience Designer at Recorded Future is an expert contributor responsible for transforming complex cybersecurity workflows into high-fidelity instructional content. You will focus on building practical, task-based learning experiences that enable users to effectively navigate and utilize the Recorded Future Platform. By applying advanced instructional methodologies, you will create instructional assets that reduce time-to-value and empower users to solve real-world security challenges.
What You'll Do:
Instructional Design and Curriculum Development:
- Partner with SMEs to deconstruct complex workflows into easy-to-understand learning. You will design and develop assets from labs to CTF-style challenges, to ensure learners can successfully apply technical concepts to real world applications.
- Rapidly translate technical SME workflows into high-quality storyboards for scenario-based applications; ensuring all instructional designs are anchored in a clear understanding of the business problem and focus on real-world skill application.
- Apply advanced adult learning theories to design scenario-based learning and simulations that mirror the daily reality of threat analysts and security engineers.
- Ensure all learning assets meet accessibility standards and inclusive design principles; serving as a resource for technical teams to ensure instructional content is usable by all learners, regardless of ability.
Content Delivery and Project Management:
- Manage the full development cycle for complex instructional projects, ensuring deliverables are accurate and meet established quality standards.
- Execute a thorough review process; quality assurance, for all assets, verifying technical functionality, brand consistency, and instructional integrity before launch.
- Work autonomously to coordinate with SMEs for technical information and deliver learning assets that align with project timelines.
What You'll Bring:
- Expert proficiency using Articulate Rise and Camtasia.
- Demonstrated ability to apply accessibility standards to all digital learning assets.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and personas.
- Experience delivering learning programs in a SaaS environment.
- Instructional Design certificate required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical experience with LMS functionality and technical standards (SCORM/xAPI) to ensure seamless content deployment; ability to use basic learning data to identify areas for content improvement.
- Expert proficiency in Articulate Storyline.
