Job Title: Senior Technical Product Manager – quantum computing services
Job Type: Full-time
Job Location: Boston, MA
Reports to: Vice President of Quantum Computing Services
Summary
QuEra is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to join the Quantum Computing Services team at our Boston headquarters. You will play a foundational role in shaping the company’s product strategy and processes and taking responsibility for the success of our products and services.
The team’s mission is to transform neutral atom quantum computing technology into products and services offering cutting-edge quantum computing functionality, delivered both via the cloud and as managed on-premise solutions, and interfaced by users via a variety of in-house and third-party software. As the Senior TPM, you will partner closely with scientists, engineers, executives, and customers to define, communicate, and deliver the roadmap for quantum computing products and services. You will gather and synthesize both functional and non-functional requirements from customers, translating them into a clear and actionable product roadmap. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that development efforts are both feasible and timely, delivering solutions that meet customer needs. In addition, you will drive project and program management activities to align with key milestones, ensuring execution stays on track and goals are achieved.
In-depth exploration and a solid grasp of application algorithms for NISQ and early FTQC will be essential in shaping product features and roadmap priorities. This role calls for comprehensive technical expertise across the quantum computing stack—including hardware, control systems, compilers, quantum error correction, and algorithmic software. Given the product’s early stage, advancing both the maturity and stability of the technology is paramount. Success will require the ability to navigate complex trade-offs, balancing the push for rapid feature development with the need to ensure system robustness and reliability.
Initial Projects
In parallel, you will establish and operate a product management process to synthesize, negotiate, document, and track requirements across internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
As Senior Technical Product Manager, you will be expected to lead and drive the following activities:
You will also be expected to contribute to the following:
Qualifications
Preferred:
We consistently monitor external market data and update base salary ranges accordingly. We determine base compensation decisions on several factors, including as geographic placement, role-specific knowledge, skills, and/or experience. In addition to our base salary offerings, we also provide equity grants for all new hires.

Summary
QuEra Computing is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager – SDK and User Engagement to own the product strategy, delivery, and adoption of the developer tooling that researchers and developers use to run high‑impact experiments and applications on QuEra’s neutral‑atom quantum computers. You’ll operate at the intersection of quantum R&D, scientific software engineering, and an external developer community, translating capabilities across quantum‑classical hybrid workflows, circuit‑level programming, qubit/atom shuttling, and pulse‑level control into an SDK that is coherent, usable, and trusted.
This is a foundational product role in a fast-growing area. You’ll drive the end-to-end developer journey: from “time‑to‑first‑experiment” and documentation quality, to stable APIs and predictable release processes, to community engagement and open-source governance. Working closely with R&D and engineering teams, you’ll turn emerging research results (including advances in neutral‑atom platforms and quantum error correction) into concrete product requirements, representative examples, and developer-ready interfaces—balancing rapid innovation with robustness, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

About Us
We are building quantum computing systems that push the boundary of what is physically possible. Doing so requires a rare combination of scientific depth, engineering rigor, and operational maturity.
Our Quantum Control Platform sits at the heart of this effort, translating physics breakthroughs into executable engineering across hardware, software, optics, embedded systems, and automation. As we scale, we are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to serve as the operational backbone between our quantum physics research team and our multi-disciplinary engineering organization.
This is not a traditional software product role. You will operate at the intersection of complex hardware development and modern agile delivery, making them work together in a physics-constrained environment.
The Role
Requirements Translation & Traceability
You will work directly with quantum physicists to extract scientific intent — goals such as enabling a logical non-Clifford gate, achieving specific QPU-level performance milestones, or meeting target fidelity thresholds — and translate them into structured, executable engineering requirements.
You will:
Documentation Discipline & Governance
You will own and elevate the requirements process, not just participate in it.
This includes:
You will introduce structure without bureaucracy — building systems that accelerate execution rather than slow it down.
Agile Delivery Partnership
Engineering owns delivery. You will be their strongest product partner.
You will:
You understand where agile breaks in hardware environments — and how to adapt it without becoming dogmatic or reverting to rigid sequential processes.
Stakeholder Alignment & Process Maturity
You will align scientists, hardware engineers, and software engineers around shared execution frameworks.
This role requires:
You lead through credibility and demonstrated value — not mandate.

What Success Looks Like in Year One
If you thrive at the intersection of frontier science and disciplined engineering execution — and want to help build quantum systems that redefine what computation can do — we would love to talk.
As QuEra scales from individual machine development to a cohesive platform, this role will ensure that requirements are clearly specified, validation protocols are established, and system builds proceed predictably. By bringing structure, visibility, and technical coherence to our process, this person will enable teams to deliver high-performance machines efficiently, collaboratively, and with minimal rework.
