A trading desk is successful thanks to the mix of the following three internal teams:

• Quant Traders: who are having strong knowledge about finance and trading

Your future role within QRT:

• You will be working within a trading desk which means that your contribution will have a direct and immediate impact on the desk’s success
• Placing you as a key member of a Quant Dev team working closely with Quant Researchers and Quant Traders.
• A role with the potential to touch many aspects of algorithmic trading, including ultra-low-latency trading engine (tracking nanoseconds), research platform (Terabytes of data per day), and analytics infrastructure (Massive cloud computing)
• Opportunities to solve hard technical challenges critical to the desk’s success

Your present skill set:

• Expertise in modern C++, with strong hands-on development experience
• Deep understanding of system-level fundamentals, including CPU, memory, operating systems, and networking
• Strong analytical mindset and genuine motivation for robust and high-quality code development
• Proven ability to take full ownership of projects, from initial idea through to final delivery
• Effective communication skills and adaptability within dynamic, fast-paced environments
• Python skills highly desirable and considered a strong plus
• High motivation to work in the finance industry – prior experience is not required

QRT's High-Frequency Trading team designs and operates ultra-low-latency systems that run at global scale. We’re looking for experienced C++ engineers who care deeply about performance, efficiency, and the elegance of ultra-optimized systems.

Your future role at QRT:

You’ll work across our latency-critical stack - from kernel-level tuning and network optimization to highly efficient C++ components. This role involves close collaboration with our FPGA engineering team as well as our hardware and infrastructure engineers to design end-to-end architectures where every single nanosecond counts.

• Design and optimize C++ systems for trading, market data, and infrastructure
• Profile and fine-tune performance across CPU, cache, and memory layers
• Collaborate with FPGA engineers to integrate hardware and software pathways

Your present skillset:

• 3+ years of experience in performance-critical C++ (C++17 or newer)
• Strong grasp of systems programming, low-level understanding including memory management and CPU's architectures
• Deep familiarity with Linux internals, kernel parameters, and low-level profiling
• Curiosity about hardware, networking, and how systems behave under real load

The Tick Data Platform team is a new team building a market data architecture for low latency trading. The systems are being developed from the ground up and we’re looking for exceptional software engineers to join us in creating scalable and performant tick data platforms to support HFT.

Your future role within QRT

• Greenfield development in a small and highly collaborative team
• Writing modern high-performance C++23
• Architectural contributions to newly designed systems
• Adding new exchanges to the platform
• Project leadership
• Working with developers and researchers across the low latency teams at QRT

Your present skillset:

• 4 years of experience writing low latency / high-performance modern C++
• Experience with market data is highly desirable
• Familiar with C++ optimisation techniques
• Linux internals, kernel bypass and low-level profiling / tuning
• Communication and teamwork, with an interest in building a strong engineering culture

Nice to have:

• System design and architecture
• Scripting in bash or python
• Project leadership and stakeholder management
