What Will You Do?

The Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our Integrations team. In this role, you will own the design, development, and maintenance of backend services that connect our platform to external healthcare systems, partner APIs, ERP systems, and analytics tools. You will be a key technical contributor on a small, high-impact team responsible for ensuring that clinical and operational data flows securely and reliably across our ecosystem.

This is a senior individual contributor role with real architectural influence. You will work closely with the Integrations Lead to shape technical direction, mentor teammates, and make decisions that directly affect how our platform connects to the broader healthcare landscape. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with our Cloud, Data, Mobile, and Web teams.

The Specifics

• Integration Architecture: Design and implement integration patterns for connecting external healthcare systems, ERP platforms, and analytics tools to our internal services. You will own the technical approach for new partner integrations end-to-end
• Backend Development: Build and maintain scalable backend services using Kotlin and/or Python, with a focus on reliability, security, and clean API contracts.
• API Design & Collaboration: Design, document, and maintain RESTful APIs. Work directly with external partners and internal teams to negotiate data contracts, troubleshoot integration issues, and ensure interoperability.

Who You Are

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5-7+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, Software Integration Engineer, Cloud Software Engineer or similar role, with at least 2 years focused on system integrations or API-heavy environments.

Technical Skills and Practice

• Backend Development: Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Python for building production-grade services and integrations.
• Integration Patterns: Deep experience with integration architecture, RESTful APIs, webhooks, message queues, ETL/ELT patterns, and data transformation.
• API Expertise: Experience designing, versioning, and securing APIs. Comfortable writing and maintaining API documentation. Familiar with authentication patterns.
• Cloud & Containers: Hands-on experience deploying and managing services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar, using Docker/Kubernetes (k8s).
• Databases: Comfortable working with both relational and NoSQL databases. Understands data modeling trade-offs in integration contexts.
• CI/CD & Testing: Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, along with unit, integration, and regression tests
• Monitoring and Debugging: Proficient with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana or similar). Able to diagnose issues in distributed systems across service boundaries.
• Security & Compliance: Working knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA). Experience handling PHI or PII is a strong plus.
• Communication: Clear communicator who can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable working directly with external partners.
• Remote Work Ability: Proven ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team across time zones.

What Will You Do?

The Overview

The Director of Regulatory Affairs will lead all of Prolaio’s regulatory efforts. This role is responsible for building and executing the regulatory strategy that ensures our products are cleared and we are compliant. This individual will work closely with the FDA and other agencies, manage submissions, and ensure Prolaio’s compliance with changing regulations. This is a key role that works across teams to help us bring safe, effective products to market.

The Specifics

• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop, initiate, and pursue regulatory strategy for all Prolaio products
• Maintain compliance with FDA regulations (e.g., 21 CFR 820, 21 CFR Part 11, 21 CFR 812, 45 CFR 164, etc.) across product development and post-market activities
• Lead 510(k) submissions and act as the primary contact with the FDA and other agencies
• Responsible for FDA establishment registration and device listing
• Responsible for GUDID and GS1 (or equivalent) accounts
• Responsible for approving labeling, marketing, and all other promotional materials for compliance within a regulatory and QMS environment
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes and advise internal teams on impact assessment
• Maintain accurate, organized records of all submissions and regulatory interactions and regulatory submission files and history
• Lead and grow the regulatory team, including managing external consultants

We are seeking a strategic product leader who will own the "outside-in" perspective for our product organization—ensuring our roadmap is shaped by deep market understanding, competitive intelligence, and commercial viability.

This role is the strategic counterpart to our Director of Product Management, who leads execution and engineering partnership. As Director, Product + Commercial Strategy you will define who we are building for (Personas), where we fit in the ecosystem (Competitive Landscape), and how we capture value (Pricing & Packaging). You will partner closely with Product Management to ensure these insights translate into roadmap priorities. You will ensure that our roadmap is not just technically feasible, but commercially viable.

The Specifics

• Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
  • Own the company’s market and competitive intelligence function. Go beyond surface-level analysis to deconstruct competitor capabilities (sensor fidelity, algorithm claims, clinical evidence, pricing structures). Maintain a live Threat Matrix covering direct competitors and asymmetric.
  • Conduct ongoing TAM/SAM/SOM analysis and identify emerging market segments, adjacencies, and white space opportunities.
  • Monitor regulatory, reimbursement, and industry trends that impact product-market fit.
• Pricing, Packaging & Commercial Strategy
  • Design the SKU architecture for our hardware-enabled SaaS model. Develop tiered packaging (Good/Better/Best) that supports upsell motion and aligns with customer value perception.
  • Drive the transition from cost-plus pricing to value-based pricing models. Partner with Finance to model unit economics and margin implications of packaging decisions.
  • Validate willingness-to-pay for new features and capabilities before development investment, partnering with the Chief Commercial Officer on pricing research.
• Customer & Persona Development
  • Develop deep, data-driven archetypes for our two distinct customer segments:

Your primary objective is to leverage Foundational Time Series Models and Transfer Learning - such as adapting models from cardiac arrhythmia ECG detection to extract novel physiological insights from wearable and clinical sensor data. The Specifics

• Model Development & Transfer Learning: Test existing and fine-tune deep learning architectures for time series data, specifically utilizing transfer learning techniques to adapt pre-trained ECG-based cardiac models for new physiological signal tasks.
• Signal Processing Pipeline: Build and optimize Python-based signal processing workflows to handle noisy, real-world sensor data, including filtering, feature extraction, and artifact removal.
• Foundational Model Implementation: Research and implement emerging foundational time series models to evaluate their zero-shot or few-shot performance on proprietary longitudinal cardiac datasets.
• Validation & Benchmarking: Design rigorous validation frameworks comparing model outputs against a clinician-verified "ground truth" to establish metrics like Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Intraclass Correlation (ICC).
