The Point72 Private Investment Valuation team manages the valuation of all privately held investments across the Firm’s extensive hedge fund, private equity, private credit, and venture capital portfolios. The team’s investment valuation coverage varies across industries and capital structures.

What you’ll do

• Lead the development of Point72’s valuation process of private credit portfolios; research technical valuation matters and provide thought leadership on best practices and emerging trends
• Coordinate with deal teams to lead valuation reviews of diverse private credit assets by building and maintaining valuation models in accordance with ASC Topic 820, and present analysis and fair value recommendations to the Valuation Committees
• Coordinate valuation reviews performed by third-party valuation firms and external auditors
• Review and coordinate valuation and P&L reporting for internal performance tracking and investor reporting

What’s required

• 2-5 years of private credit valuation experience at a valuation advisory firm, “Big 4” audit firm, or private credit asset management firm
• Experience with the valuation of private credit investment types, including Asset-Based Lending (ABL), Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO), Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), and Significant Risk Transfer (SRT)
• Interest in broadening your valuation expertise to private equity and venture capital
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Strong excel modeling skills
• Proficient in Intex

The team’s investment valuation coverage ranges from exchange traded products to derivatives traded in OTC markets, to venture capital and private equity. The Valuation team provides valuations and P&L for investments for stakeholders across the firm, including Senior Management, portfolio managers/deal teams, Risk Management, and investor reporting.

What you’ll do

• Manage the valuation and models for various products, such as credit derivatives, interest rate swaps/swaptions, FX derivatives, government bonds, and corporate bonds.
• Manage the process to control market data inputs to the valuation models—such as yield curve, inflation curve, volatility surfaces, and credit curves—and ensure the valuation process followes the firm’s valuation policy.
• Perform price testing analysis with counterparty valuation and other third-party vendors’ prices.
• Maintain valuation support documentation to evidence the accuracy of investment valuations.
• Liaise with investment professionals and our various support teams, such as Risk, about pricing, valuation, P&L, and valuation models.
• Work closely with our Technology team to implement valuation setup for new products and automate the valuation process.

What’s required

• 3-5 years of valuation experience on fixed income derivatives such as interest rate, credit, or FX derivatives.
• Strong knowledge of derivatives valuation modelling principles.
• Strong quantitative or finance background.
• Knowledge of financial products and Greeks, specifically within the derivatives space.
• Strong programing skills using VBA, Macros, and Python.

Associate, Macro Valuation

The Point72 Macro Intraday Pricing team manages the intraday pricing of various investments ranging from the exchange traded products to derivatives traded in OTC markets, including equities, listed futures/options, bonds, fixed income OTC derivatives (interest rate swaps/swaptions, FX spot/forwards/options), credit derivatives, and commodity products.

What you’ll do

As a Macro Valuation Associate, you will manage the intraday pricing of various Macro products, such as credit derivatives, interest rate swaps/swaptions, FX derivatives, government bonds, and corporate bonds. Specifically, you will:

• Manage the process to control market data inputs to the valuation models (yield curve, inflation curve, volatility surfaces, credit curves, etc.)
• Liaise with investment teams, Technology, Risk, and other supporting teams about pricing and P&L

• Collaborate with the Technology team to implement pricing configurations for new and existing products.
• Contribute to reengineering workflows around pricing feeds to improve reliability and efficiency

What’s required

• 10-15+ years of valuation/P&L experience on credit derivatives, emerging market (e.g., LATAM) products (Rates, Bonds, FX), and/or FX derivatives
• Experience with intraday P&L support
• Strong knowledge of derivatives valuation modelling principles
• Strong Quantitative or Finance background required. Master’s degree in Financial Engineering or Financial Mathematics is a plus but not required
• FRM, CFA or comparable certifications or progress towards those certifications is a plus
• Knowledge of financial products and greeks specifically in derivatives space
• Experience with Murex and/or Orchestrade systems is a plus
• Strong programing skill is plus (VBA Macro, Python)

What’s required

• 7+ years of mortgage valuation experience covering agency MBS, including specified pools, CMOs, TBA/TBA options, as well as non‑agency products such as RMBS, CMBS, and CLO.
• Strong quantitative or finance background.
• Strong knowledge of derivatives valuation modeling principles.
• Knowledge of financial products and Greeks, particularly in the derivatives space.

As the Equity Valuation and P&L Reporting Associate, you will have a central view within the Point72 hedge fund, with exposure to Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology teams. Specifically, you will:

• Manage the real-time and end-of-day valuation process for publicly traded equities, futures, and options in the firm’s front and back-office systems
• Act as the point of contact for traders and portfolio managers to quickly resolve intra-day pricing issues
• Prepare daily firmwide performance reporting for senior management to inform firm strategy and investment decision making
• Perform independent price-testing of the hedge fund’s investments for the monthly close process
• Maintain reporting of external fund investment valuation, P&L, and performance
