Impact of a Technical Success Manager
As a Technical Success Manager (TSM), you are the technical linchpin of the customer journey and a dedicated strategic advisor for our key accounts. You bridge the gap between complex technical execution and tangible business value, acting as the "glue" that ensures the promises made during sales become a reality. While Support handles reactive troubleshooting, you are the proactive force preventing friction before it starts. By designing reusable workflows and documenting unique challenges, you don't just solve problems for one customer—you scale the collective intelligence of the entire Upsun Customer Success organization.
What to expect
- Strategic Advisory: Own the post-go-live relationship for high-value accounts, acting as a technical authority to align our platform’s capabilities with their long-term business objectives.
- Architectural Optimization: Guide existing customers through complex growth phases and architectural shifts, ensuring their configurations are optimized for peak performance and scalability.
- Proactive Adoption: Identify underutilized features and provide the deep-dive technical guidance necessary to ensure customers realize the full ROI of the Upsun platform.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the critical link between your customers and internal teams (Support, Product, Engineering) to facilitate root cause analysis and influence the product roadmap.
- Operational Maturity: Contribute to our team’s growth by developing technical playbooks and reusable templates that drive efficiency across the global organization.
What you bring
- PaaS Ecosystem Expertise: Deep experience in cloud infrastructure and developer tools, with a natural empathy for the challenges faced by modern, developer-focused organizations.
- Consulting Experience: Typically 5–8+ years in technical account management or systems engineering, with a proven ability to translate technical health into operational excellence.
- Architectural Fluency: The ability to design sophisticated technical workflows and architectures that align with diverse infrastructure standards.
- Stakeholder Mastery: High emotional intelligence and communication skills, allowing you to build trust with both C-suite executives and hands-on engineering leads.
- Linguistic Versatility: Professional fluency in both English and either French or German is required to support our EMEA portfolio.
Bonus Points
- Change Management: Formal experience or certification in change management methodologies related to software adoption.
- CS Tooling: Familiarity with customer success platforms like Gainsight or ChurnZero, or product analytics tools such as Datadog or Pendo.
- Developer Roots: A background in DevOps or software development that allows you to speak the same language as our core users.

Impact of an Analytics Engineer
Working at the intersection of data engineering and business logic, you will play a critical role in the Data Science and Engineering Department at Upsun. By transforming vast amounts of raw platform events and business data into high-quality metrics, you enable deeper insights into our customers and internal operations. You serve as a strategic advisor to both technical and non-technical teams, ensuring that data-driven decision-making is accessible, performant, and reliable across the entire organization. Your work directly influences how we build our products and scale our global infrastructure.

- Data Modeling and Design: You will implement models that transform raw data into useful metrics and comprehensive data products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will partner with various teams to gather requirements, align methodologies, and advocate for best practices in data consumption.
- Scalable Solutions: You will manage data at various scales, including petabyte-level datasets, using efficient and performant techniques.
- Operational Efficiency: You will improve our codebase and processes by delivering repeatable, well-documented solutions.
- Strategic Advisory: You will help business units understand the impact of specific metrics and the cascading effects on product components.
- Global Remote Culture: You will work within a multicultural, remote-first environment that values curiosity and a thirst for knowledge.
What you bring
- SQL and DBT Expertise: You have experience building and maintaining data models within a production environment.
- Python Familiarity: You are comfortable with Python development for data-related tasks.
- Cloud Data Warehousing: You are familiar with GCP or AWS services such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Athena.
- ETL/ELT Knowledge: You understand which methodologies are best suited for different data scales and business needs.
- Analytical Curiosity: You possess a natural drive to explore data, standardize it, and solve complex business challenges.
- Data Visualization Skills: You have experience using tools like Metabase or Hex to create clear and actionable data products.
- Infrastructure and Tooling: You are familiar with ingestion tools like Fivetran and reverse ETL workflows using Hightouch.
- Version Control: You have prior experience using Git to manage your code and collaborate with others.
- Critical Thinking: You can effectively weigh the tradeoffs of different technical approaches to find the best solution.
Bonus
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD).
- Prior experience working with FinOps principles or FOCUS data models.
- Broader experience with various cloud infrastructure and service offerings.

Impact of a Communication Designer
As the Communication Designer at Upsun, you are the guardian of our visual identity and the engine behind our brand’s daily expression. You bridge the gap between high-level brand strategy and tactical execution, ensuring that every touchpoint, from digital campaigns to internal assets, is cohesive, polished, and impactful. Your work doesn't just make things look good; it builds trust with our technical audience and clarifies our complex value proposition through world-class design.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can balance "doing" with "directing." Whether you are getting your hands dirty in Figma or providing critical feedback to our external agency partners, you ensure our brand remains consistent, modern, and scalable. You are a visual storyteller who understands that in the tech space, clarity is the ultimate form of sophistication.

In this role, you report directly to the Head of Brand and Communications and serve as a cross-functional partner to Marketing, Product, Sales, Engineer, and People teams.
What to expect
- Lead Daily Design Execution: Produce high-fidelity visual assets for social media, website components, sales enablement decks, and digital advertising.
- Translate Technical Concepts: Partner with Product Design to turn complex technical workflows into simplified, "marketing-ready" UI visualizations and original vector illustrations.
- Manage External Partners: Act as the primary creative lead for external agencies and freelancers, providing actionable feedback and quality control to ensure output meets our brand standards.
- Evolve the Design System: Maintain and expand our library of reusable design components and brand guidelines to ensure global scalability and consistency.
- Collaborate on Campaigns: Work with Growth and Events teams to translate strategic briefs into high-performing visual assets that drive engagement and conversion.
What you bring
- Professional Design Experience: 2+ years as a brand designer or art director, ideally within a B2B tech environment or a fast-paced creative agency.
- Tooling Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), along with comfort using Google Workspace and Slack.
- Systems Thinking: A proven ability to work with and evolve complex brand systems and component libraries across diverse formats.
- Technical Visualization: Exceptional skills in vector design and the ability to translate abstract cloud concepts into visuals that resonate with a developer audience.
- Workflow Autonomy: Strong organizational skills to manage high-volume requests via project management tools like ClickUp, prioritizing tasks based on business impact.
