Impact of an Analytics Engineer

Working at the intersection of data engineering and business logic, you will play a critical role in the Data Science and Engineering Department at Upsun. By transforming vast amounts of raw platform events and business data into high-quality metrics, you enable deeper insights into our customers and internal operations. You serve as a strategic advisor to both technical and non-technical teams, ensuring that data-driven decision-making is accessible, performant, and reliable across the entire organization. Your work directly influences how we build our products and scale our global infrastructure.

• SQL and DBT Expertise: You have experience building and maintaining data models within a production environment.
• Python Familiarity: You are comfortable with Python development for data-related tasks.
• Cloud Data Warehousing: You are familiar with GCP or AWS services such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Athena.
• ETL/ELT Knowledge: You understand which methodologies are best suited for different data scales and business needs.

• Data Visualization Skills: You have experience using tools like Metabase or Hex to create clear and actionable data products.

Impact of a Cloud Support Engineer

Support at Upsun is more than a ticket queue - it’s about solving complex technical challenges, collaborating globally, and helping developers succeed. Our CSE’s are deeply technical, curious, and committed to creating a world-class support experience for our users.

In this customer-facing, engineering-adjacent role, you’ll help troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and deployment issues across a broad tech stack. You'll work in a high-trust, async-first environment where autonomy, problem-solving, and clear communication are key. If you enjoy tackling unsolved problems and making things better every day — this role might be for you!

What to expect

• Technical resolution: Resolve technical issues across infrastructure, deployments, databases, caching, and web performance

• Support management: Manage support tickets via Zendesk, with occasional live chat or voice support where needed

• Platform reliability: Contribute to platform reliability by monitoring alert queues and participating in on-call rotation during working hours

• Cross-team collaboration: Collaborate with Product and Engineering to escalate bugs, report edge cases, and improve internal tooling

• Knowledge sharing: Improve documentation and knowledge sharing across global support teams

• Web infrastructure troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues related to DNS, CDN, SSL/TLS, and web infrastructure at scale

• Continuous improvement: Identify recurring problems and suggest improvements to systems, workflows, and documentation

What you bring

• Linux systems experience: You're comfortable in the terminal and can navigate production environments

• Coding or scripting ability: You have experience with at least one backend language (e.g., Go, Python, PHP, Ruby, Node.js)

• Cloud infrastructure familiarity: You've worked in or supported distributed systems, containerized environments, or cloud platforms

• Networking basics: You understand how the internet works, and can debug issues with DNS, SSL, CDN, etc.

• Strong written communication: You express technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively in async global teams

• Problem-solving mindset: You take initiative, enjoy digging into issues, and look for ways to improve how we work

You bridge the gap between high-level brand strategy and tactical execution, ensuring that every touchpoint, from digital campaigns to internal assets, is cohesive, polished, and impactful. • Lead Daily Design Execution: Produce high-fidelity visual assets for social media, website components, sales enablement decks, and digital advertising.
• Translate Technical Concepts: Partner with Product Design to turn complex technical workflows into simplified, "marketing-ready" UI visualizations and original vector illustrations.
• Manage External Partners: Act as the primary creative lead for external agencies and freelancers, providing actionable feedback and quality control to ensure output meets our brand standards.
• Evolve the Design System: Maintain and expand our library of reusable design components and brand guidelines to ensure global scalability and consistency.
• Collaborate on Campaigns: Work with Growth and Events teams to translate strategic briefs into high-performing visual assets that drive engagement and conversion.

What you bring

• Professional Design Experience: 2+ years as a brand designer or art director, ideally within a B2B tech environment or a fast-paced creative agency.
• Tooling Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), along with comfort using Google Workspace and Slack.
• Systems Thinking: A proven ability to work with and evolve complex brand systems and component libraries across diverse formats.
• Technical Visualization: Exceptional skills in vector design and the ability to translate abstract cloud concepts into visuals that resonate with a developer audience.

Impact of a Senior Account Executive

As a Senior Account Executive at Upsun, you play a key role in driving new customer growth by identifying, engaging, and closing high-potential accounts across the UK region. You help organisations discover the value of Upsun’s cloud application platform by building trusted relationships, understanding complex business needs, and guiding prospects from initial interest through long-term partnership.

Reporting to the General Manager, EMEA, you own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to closing and account expansion. You collaborate closely with Marketing, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success to deliver a seamless buyer experience and consistently exceed revenue targets in a competitive, technical market.

This is a quota-carrying, individual contributor role for a strategic, customer-centric seller who thrives in complex sales environments. You bring curiosity, discipline, and a growth mindset to your work, continuously refining your approach to drive pipeline, close meaningful deals, and support sustained customer success.

What to expect

• Territory & Account Strategy: Create and execute a tailored plan to achieve corporate objectives within new and existing client accounts across the UK region, aligned with our ideal customer profile and value proposition.

• End-to-End Sales Ownership: Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through deal closure, including assessing buying intent and meticulously tracking customer and transactional data in Salesforce.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Solutions Engineering, Sales Operations, Legal, Customer Success, and other internal teams to ensure effective coordination and support throughout the sales process.

• Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling product demonstrations to prospective customers, either independently or alongside a Solutions Architect, tailored to both technical and business audiences. Showcasing where we add value to the prospect. 

• Market & Competitive Insight: Stay informed on competitor offerings, industry trends, and product innovation to strategically position Upsun.

• Stakeholder Communication: Foster strong, clear communication with management, customers, partners, and internal teams, including pre-sales and onboarding staff, and actively participate in strategy and customer care initiatives.

• Forecasting & Deal Execution: Accurately forecast pipeline activity and successfully close new business by clearly differentiating Upsun from competing solutions based on business value.

• Revenue Growth & Pipeline Management: Drive new revenue by building and managing a robust pipeline, taking full ownership of strategy and results within your territory.

• Regional Travel: Travel as needed within the UK region to support sales efforts and deepen customer relationships. Occasional European travel may be required for events and opportunities with key decision makers in Europe.

What you bring

• 5+ Years of Technology Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in technology-focused B2B sales environments, with substantial experience selling into the broader UK market.

• Tenacity and Target-Driven: Tenacious in pursuit of sales targets, with a strong desire to consistently exceed expectations.

• Strong Value-Selling Approach: Passion for resolving customers’ business challenges beyond relationship management, using technology alongside self-direction and resourcefulness.

Impact of a Technical Success Manager

As a Technical Success Manager (TSM), you are the technical linchpin of the customer journey and a dedicated strategic advisor for our key accounts. You bridge the gap between complex technical execution and tangible business value, acting as the "glue" that ensures the promises made during sales become a reality. While Support handles reactive troubleshooting, you are the proactive force preventing friction before it starts. By designing reusable workflows and documenting unique challenges, you don't just solve problems for one customer—you scale the collective intelligence of the entire Upsun Customer Success organization.

What to expect

• Strategic Advisory: Own the post-go-live relationship for high-value accounts, acting as a technical authority to align our platform’s capabilities with their long-term business objectives.
• Architectural Optimization: Guide existing customers through complex growth phases and architectural shifts, ensuring their configurations are optimized for peak performance and scalability.
• Proactive Adoption: Identify underutilized features and provide the deep-dive technical guidance necessary to ensure customers realize the full ROI of the Upsun platform.
• Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the critical link between your customers and internal teams (Support, Product, Engineering) to facilitate root cause analysis and influence the product roadmap.
• Operational Maturity: Contribute to our team’s growth by developing technical playbooks and reusable templates that drive efficiency across the global organization.

What you bring

• PaaS Ecosystem Expertise: Deep experience in cloud infrastructure and developer tools, with a natural empathy for the challenges faced by modern, developer-focused organizations.
• Consulting Experience: Typically 5–8+ years in technical account management or systems engineering, with a proven ability to translate technical health into operational excellence.
• Architectural Fluency: The ability to design sophisticated technical workflows and architectures that align with diverse infrastructure standards.
• Stakeholder Mastery: High emotional intelligence and communication skills, allowing you to build trust with both C-suite executives and hands-on engineering leads.
• Linguistic Versatility: Professional fluency in both English and either French or German is required to support our EMEA portfolio.

Bonus Points

• Change Management: Formal experience or certification in change management methodologies related to software adoption.
• CS Tooling: Familiarity with customer success platforms like Gainsight or ChurnZero, or product analytics tools such as Datadog or Pendo.
• Developer Roots: A background in DevOps or software development that allows you to speak the same language as our core users.
