What You’ll Do

As a Senior Client Success Manager, you will own and grow a book of business across leading US law firms. You’ll operate as a trusted advisor - bringing together a strong understanding of client workflows, thoughtful data insights, and deep knowledge of our platform to influence client outcomes and long-term success.

This is a highly consultative role requiring strong client instincts and the ability to navigate complex client environments while driving measurable impact. You are accountable for outcomes - not just activity - and play a critical role in shaping both the client experience and how we continue to improve and deliver value through our platform. At Pattern, you will be responsible for the following: 

Client Strategy and Management

• Own and grow a book of business across leading law firms, serving as the primary point of accountability for client outcomes and long-term value
• Build a strong understanding of each client’s litigation, key stakeholders, and definition of success - connecting how they operate with how they leverage Pattern
• Lead the full client lifecycle from onboarding through ongoing engagement, ensuring clients are set up for success quickly and continue to realize value as their needs evolve
• Drive adoption and retention by moving beyond feature usage to shaping client workflows - using data, reporting, and product expertise to reinforce habits and demonstrate impact

Product & Litigation Expertise 

• Become a subject matter expert in Pattern’s platform and its application within mass tort litigation
• Act as the voice of the client internally, influencing Product and Engineering roadmaps with high-quality, timely, and strategic feedback
• Evaluate and scope custom client needs (reporting, workflows, features) in partnership with cross-functional teams
• Serve as the primary CS owner for assigned litigations, partnering closely with Litigation Managers and Implementation to maintain a deep knowledge of your assigned litigation 

Account Growth & Retention

• Own client health, retention, and expansion across your book of business
• Proactively identify trends, risks, and expansion opportunities across your book, using engagement signals and client context to prioritize where to focus and when to act
• Identify and drive growth opportunities across accounts by proactively understanding client needs, usage patterns, and evolving priorities
• Build strong in-person relationships through regular client engagement and travel as needed

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in Client Success, Account Management, or a similar client-facing role in a complex SaaS environment
• Strong preference for candidates with a legal background (e.g., prior experience at a law firm, legal tech company, or litigation support environment)
• Proven ability to manage and grow relationships with senior and executive stakeholders
• Demonstrated success owning high-value accounts, driving retention, and identifying expansion opportunities
• Strong curiosity and ability to quickly develop deep product knowledge and client context to drive effective customer outcomes
• Strong analytical skills - you’re comfortable interpreting data, identifying trends, and translating insights into action
• Exceptional communication and executive presence; able to influence and challenge clients when needed
• Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Implementation team
• Location: Charlotte, NC preferred; Richmond, VA also considered. This is a hybrid role with regular in-office presence required.

What You’ll Do

The Client Success Manager plays a critical role in shaping the client experience at Pattern through trust, operational rigor, and data-driven insights. You will influence client adoption and long-term success by translating insights into action, while bringing forward client perspectives to inform our product roadmap. This role requires a high degree of intellectual curiosity - particularly a desire to understand how litigation works at a deeper level - as well as comfort operating in ambiguity and making sound decisions. You are accountable for outcomes, not just activity, and excel in complex environments serving sophisticated legal teams. At Pattern, you will be responsible for the following: 

Client Management

• Own the client relationship with an assigned book of business (pod structure) developing a deep understanding of each firm’s litigation portfolio, internal stakeholders, and definition of success
• Lead client onboarding and serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact throughout the engagement building trust with partners, senior counsel, and operations leads
• Drive platform adoption proactively; not just training clients on features, but using data and reporting to demonstrate value, surface trends, and create habits that align with the firm’s workflow
• Anticipate issues before clients raise them by monitoring engagement signals, identifying risk, and taking action before problems escalate, while also addressing any needs quickly and effectively 
• Serve as the voice of the client internally — channeling product feedback to the Product team and partnering with Marketing to capture client testimonials
• Evaluate custom client requests (platform builds, reporting, features) and partner with Product, Engineering, and Leadership to assess feasibility

Litigation Consulting  

• Serve as the CS owner for assigned litigations, partnering closely with Litigation Managers and Implementation to represent the client perspective, share proactive feedback, and help ensure the product meets client needs at each stage
• Partner with Litigation Managers to ask the right questions, understand which data matters at each phase, and translate client feedback into clear, actionable insights
• Maintain the deepest knowledge of your assigned litigations on the team and actively share that knowledge to raise the bar across the CS department

Account Growth & Retention 

• Partner closely with the Key Account Managers, within your assigned pod, to align on client health, active litigations, and expansion opportunities across your shared book of business 
• Own client health within your book by ensuring every client can clearly articulate the value Pattern delivers and is positioned to expand to new litigations or product phases
• Understand each client's broader business goals and current tech stack (case management, document partners) to identify integration opportunities
• Build and maintain strong in-person relationships through regular client visits

What You’ll Bring

• 3 - 5 years of experience in client-facing customer success or account management, ideally in legal tech, legal services, or another complex B2B SaaS environment  
• A track record of managing client relationships with senior stakeholders; comfortable navigating law firm partners, paralegals, or C-suite contacts with confidence
• Prior experience in designing and implementing strategies related to client service and support
• Self-starter able to take on tasks with minimal oversight and guidance
• Demonstrated ability to drive adoption and retention outcomes proactively.  You don’t wait for clients to ask; you bring a point of view to every touchpoint
• Comfort with data and reporting as you can read a dashboard, spot a trend, and translate what you’re seeing into a client-ready story without needing someone to decode it for you 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. You distill complex data into clear, compelling narratives for a variety of audiences
• You collaborate and work well with Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams and know how to escalate, advocate, and synthesize information across functions
• Bonus: prior exposure to legal tech, mass tort, or litigation support environments
• This role is based in Charlotte, NC or Richmond, VA and requires a hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence

What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer at Pattern Data, you will be involved throughout the product lifecycle - from idea generation, design, and prototyping to execution and shipping. You’ll effectively communicate tradeoffs and help scope and shape projects in close collaboration with our product and executive teams. You'll help build products deployed to legal teams at leading US law firms and play a significant role in the growth of the business and the engineering team. You will:

• Architect, design, and implement backend services including our core API that powers our data processing and application
• Write code mostly in Scala
• Promote technical design and coding standards for our platform and product roadmaps
• Continually look for ways to improve our product’s architecture, whether through direct changes or building tools, components, etc

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience

What You’ll Do

• Translate customer and partner needs into clear product requirements and plans
• Partner closely with engineering to design reliable, scalable integrations and data flows

What You’ll Do

As an Account Executive at Pattern Data, you will own the full sales cycle – from prospecting to close – with law firms of varying sizes, focusing on building sustainable, high-value client relationships. You’ll be responsible for developing a healthy pipeline, leading consultative sales conversations, and delivering tailored solutions that help firms scale their operations through Pattern’s technology.

• Target new prospects and manage your own book of business, focusing on both mid-market and enterprise mass tort law firms.
• Prospect, qualify, and lead discovery calls and demos to uncover client needs and propose data-driven solutions.

What You’ll Bring

• BA/BS degree preferred.
• 3-6 years of quota-carrying software or technology sales and account management experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual quotas and closing deals with large ACVs (e.g., $50,000-$200,000 in size).
• Experience in outbound sales and pipeline generation, with a demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle consultative sales.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all decision-making levels.
• Comfort navigating complex client environments with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
• CRM proficiency (HubSpot preferred) and strong operational discipline in managing pipeline and forecasting.
• Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to turn client challenges into actionable solutions.
• Previous experience selling into the legal industry or adjacent verticals is a plus.
