Summary of Role 

Palmetto is seeking a Director, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to lead all external reporting and technical accounting functions. This is a highly visible and critical role responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the Company’s SEC filings, technical accounting positions, and financial disclosures. The Director will serve as the Company’s primary subject matter expert on US GAAP technical accounting matters and will own all aspects of the SEC reporting process.

This is a newly created and critical position developed in response to the continued growth and complexity of our business. The role interfaces cross-functionally across the organization and requires the ability to operate with credibility at the executive level.

Strategic & Tactical

• SEC Reporting & External Disclosures
  • Lead the end-to-end preparation and review of all SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and other required filings, ensuring compliance with Regulation S-X and S-K disclosure requirements
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, earnings releases, and non-GAAP reconciliations
  • Manage the XBRL/iXBRL tagging process and ensure accurate, timely submission of filings via EDGAR
  • Coordinate the review of SEC filings with external auditors, outside legal counsel, investor relations, and executive management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree a plus
• CPA required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; a combination of Big 4 public accounting and public company industry experience strongly preferred
• Deep expertise in US GAAP and SEC reporting rules and regulations, including Regulation S-X, Regulation S-K, and EDGAR filing requirements
• Demonstrated experience authoring technical accounting memos on complex topics including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 350/360, ASC 805, ASC 718, and other areas
• Experience with SEC reporting software (Workiva preferred) and XBRL/iXBRL tagging

This is a high-impact, highly visible role that sits at the intersection of operational accounting, controls assurance, and cross-functional collaboration. The Director will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable SOX 404 compliance framework to ensure that Palmetto is well-positioned for PCAOB controls audit. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), a builder's mindset, and the ability to operate with credibility at the executive level.

• SOX Program Ownership
  • Own the end-to-end SOX 404 compliance program, including scoping, risk assessment, controls documentation, sample testing, and remediation

As the Senior Product Manager for Device Data & Performance, you will own the strategic direction of a platform that sits at the center of Palmetto's operations, serving internal business units, field technicians, OEM partners, financial stakeholders, and homeowners.

This is a uniquely cross-functional role. You will define how Palmetto connects with hardware manufacturers through integration partnerships, shape the data models that power performance monitoring and alerting, and build the workflows that enable our field service and asset management teams to act on what the data reveals. Summary of Role 

The Quality Program Manager, Comfort is responsible for building and scaling the quality assurance framework that supports Palmetto’s expansion across multiple residential energy technologies—including HVAC, geothermal, water heaters, and generators. This role owns the standards, training, and review processes that ensure high-quality, code-compliant installations by Certified Contractors across all Comfort product lines.

The ideal candidate is deeply anchored in residential HVAC and/or geothermal systems, with the ability to extend that expertise to adjacent technologies as the platform grows. You will lead the QC Technician team, oversee daily milestone review throughput, and partner cross-functionally to optimize processes, reduce friction, and ensure volume and SLA goals are achieved. This role operates within a matrixed management structure, reporting directly to the VP of Quality Programs with a dotted-line relationship to the VP of Comfort Program Management. Success requires the ability to navigate shared priorities, align with multiple leaders, and drive outcomes across organizational boundaries.

Strategic & Tactical

Multi-Technology Program Development (60%)

• Develop and maintain quality standards, documentation, and contractor approval requirements for HVAC, geothermal, water heater, and generator installations—adapting them as new partners, products, and technologies are added.
• Lead the build-out of quality review frameworks for emerging product lines, leveraging lessons learned from established verticals.
• Collaborate with the product development and after market services teams to  develop service & maintenance warranty programs.

This role will be critical to the success of our accounting function.
