Role:
We're looking for a hungry Junior Product Designer to join our team and partner directly with our Product and Product Design teams. You'll learn by doing, getting honest feedback, and be pushed to grow. You'll be in the weeds alongside us, helping shape delightful product experiences for hundreds of thousands of homeowners.
If you love Figma, care deeply about consumer products, homeownership and financial solutions for home owners, and want to develop your craft inside a product that actually matters — then this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Product Managers on new product ideas, from early concepts to shipped features
• Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately while understanding technical constraints and building relationships with stakeholders.
• Support and work alongside other Product Designers
• Support ongoing product iterations based on customer feedback, research, and data
• Help maintain and evolve our design system by keeping things clean, consistent, and scalable
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
• Advocate for accessible, inclusive, and clear user experiences
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of product design experience.
- A portfolio that shows your thinking, not just your final screens; we want to see your holistic process and story telling.
- Figma-fluent. Comfortable working in a high velocity environment with components, auto-layout, and prototyping
- Solid grasp of UX fundamentals and interaction design
- Can communicate design decisions clearly to non-designers
- Comfortable working across web and mobile-web
- Tenacious: you push through hard problems without waiting to be told what to do next
- Coachable: you seek feedback, act on it, and come back with questions
- Low ego, high output.
- Curious about users and behavioral data.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Familiarity with property tech or fintech is a plus (but not required)
- A portfolio that includes 0→1 or early-stage product work

Role:
We are reshaping the process of buying insurance. Your role will be instrumental in developing Ownwell’s insurance offering and identifying the appropriate coverage for Ownwell’s clients. As an insurance agent, you will be responsible for selling insurance policies to customers, and cultivating lasting relationships.
You should be a self-starter, looking for a challenge, and excited to get your hands dirty. You should have extensive knowledge of available insurance products, a passion for sales, and excellent interpersonal skills. A top-notch insurance producer creates lasting and trusting relationships with clients by finding them the best product for their needs. At the same time, you’ll be working with Ownwell’s sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to develop software, tooling, and marketing initiatives to provide more value to Ownwell customers across the country.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and bind new business with carriers
- Meet with potential clients to discuss their insurance needs and research available policy options for the client.
- Present and explain policy details to the clients
- Advising clients on risk management
- Advising clients on when and how to file a claim on their policy.
- Advise Ownwell product and engineering team on software development and automation opportunities.
- Maintain client relationships and provide support to Ownwell clients
- Retain customers year-over-year
Requirements:
- Must hold a Texas Property & Casualty insurance license.
- 1-3 years + of sales experience in an insurance brokerage with a proven track record of sales success.
- Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance, marketplace, products, and services, developing productive business relationships with key insurance carriers.
- Personable, highly motivated, and goal oriented. Driven to achieve individual sales goals.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating multiple systems and quoting platforms
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Nice to have: experience selling commercial insurance
- Experience with rater platforms like EZLynx or HawkSoft, various insurance carrier’s portals, GSuite and CRMs such as AgencyZoom or Salesforce is a plus
- Nice to have: experience selling commercial insurance

Role Overview
Ownwell is seeking a Texas-licensed ready Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans under Ownwell’s Texas Mortgage Broker License. You will work directly with warm inbound customers from our existing homeowner base and referral partners, guiding borrowers through refinance and purchase transactions while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This role is ideal for a high-integrity, consultative originator who wants to help build and modernize the mortgage experience through technology and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate residential mortgage loans (refinance and purchase) in Texas
- Work inbound leads from Ownwell’s homeowner platform and partner channels
- Guide borrowers through the full loan lifecycle: pre-qualification → application → processing → closing
- Collect and review borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, property)
- Ensure compliance with Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending (SML) and NMLS regulations
- Maintain accurate loan files and CRM documentation
- Coordinate with processors, underwriters, title companies, and real estate partners
- Educate customers on loan options, rates, fees, and closing costs
- Meet production, quality, and customer satisfaction targets
Licensing & Compliance Requirements
- Must hold an active Texas Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license through NMLS with at least 2 years of experience
- Will be sponsored under Ownwell’s Texas Mortgage Broker License
- Maintain continuing education annually
- Maintain good standing with Texas SML and NMLS
Required Qualifications
- Must hold an active Texas Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license with a minimum of 2 years of continuous licensing and origination experience
- Strong understanding of mortgage products (conventional, FHA, VA, jumbo)
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- High attention to compliance, documentation, and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple active loan files simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a tech-enabled, fast-moving startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Texas MLO license (NMLS)
- 2+ years mortgage origination experience
- Experience with refinance pipelines
- Prior experience working inbound or fintech-driven leads
- Familiarity with mortgage CRMs and LOS platforms is preferred (Encompass, Blend, Floify, etc.)
