With a headquarters in New Jersey and facilities spanning multiple states, we're scaling our team to match our ambition. Our Pennsylvania facility is an exciting part of that expansion, and we need an HR professional who is ready to roll up their sleeves, grow their skills, and make a real impact on the employee experience.

We are seeking a highly motivated and people-first HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations at our Pennsylvania facility. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to fostering a compliant and secure work environment. Responsibilities encompass managing the daily operations of the Human Resources department, including the administration of compensation, benefits, and leave, as well as the enforcement of company policies and practices. A successful candidate is organized, proactive, and exercises sound judgment. They communicate clearly, handle sensitive matters with discretion, and are comfortable taking initiative while knowing when to escalate.

Reports to: Sr. HR Manager
Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

• Assist the HR team to develop and execute new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
• Manage administrative processes for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including data entry into the HR technology platforms and ensure accuracy and compliance through rigorous internal auditing.
• Deliver effective and dedicated Human Resources advisory services to employees concerning health insurance, absences, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relation issues.
• Serve as the primary backup for payroll processing, which involves weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee files, accurate tracking of time off, processing exceptions, validating hourly employee data, and managing benefit changes.
• Aid in the communication, interpretation, and maintenance of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organization chart.
• Contribute to the formulation of policies and support the implementation of HR-based programs and initiatives.
• Evaluate, monitor, and formally document compliance with both mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, encompassing employee handbook training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
• Address employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees, including members of the management team, escalating complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Participate in and attend employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices.
• Maintain current knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory amendments, and emerging technologies within human resources and employment law.
• Support direct-hire recruiting efforts - coordinating, scheduling, handling on-site interview logistics and ensure a positive candidate experience at the facility level
• Communicate professionally and warmly with all stakeholders, daily
• Help foster a positive, consistent employee experience
• Execute other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Required Skills / Abilities:

• Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, interpersonal relations, and conflict resolution is essential.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is a must.
• Exceptional organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail are requisite.
• Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving methodologies is required.
• The ability to effectively manage competing priorities is necessary.
• A comprehensive and current understanding of all relevant employment laws and regulations is expected.
• Must exhibit a resourceful, solution-oriented aptitude coupled with a thorough knowledge of established HR procedures and policies.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office, Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and other softwares/systems utilized in Human Resources, or demonstrate capacity to rapidly assimilate new software applications, is required.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered
• 1-3 years of HR experience with increasing responsibility; logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment strongly preferred
• Certification as a SHRM-CP is considered a significant asset.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires the ability to sit for extended periods while utilizing a computer.
• Occasionally required to lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds.

Job Description: Fulfillment Center Supervisor

Outerspace provides a number of services including, but not limited to, warehousing and fulfillment, customization and light manufacturing, and product photography. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Fulfillment Center Supervisor to join the team. The Fulfillment Center Supervisor leads all daily warehouse operations — both inbound and outbound — in a high-volume e-commerce and 3PL environment. This includes accurate receiving, quality inspection, put-away, inventory control, and ensuring high-volume orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. This role supervises warehouse teams, maintains safety and efficiency standards, and manages labor against daily volume demands. A successful candidate is someone who is driven, determined, and committed to a high level of operational excellence and customer satisfaction. They are collaborative, demonstrate strong communication skills, and are detail oriented.

Reports to: Senior Operations Manager

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

• Oversee receiving, unloading, staging, verifying, and put-away activities
• Ensure accurate inspection and documentation of inbound shipments
• Coordinate receiving priorities with customer SLAs and shipment schedules
• Manage discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages), perform root-cause analysis, and follow up on resolution
• Create and manage daily inbound schedules based on shipment volume
• Supervise and lead warehouse associates responsible for outbound order fulfillment (picking, packing, shipping)
• Monitor daily workflow and assign tasks to ensure timely and accurate processing of e-commerce orders
• Adjust labor and workflows in real time based on order volume, carrier cutoffs, and SLA requirements
• Handle escalations related to missed cutoffs, order discrepancies, or carrier delays, supporting management as needed
• Use WMS and RF scanning tools for inbound and outbound transactions and real-time visibility
• Track and monitor KPIs including receiving cycle time, put-away accuracy, dock turnaround, order accuracy, units per hour (UPH), on-time shipment, and labor productivity
• Provide daily performance reporting to the Operations Management Team
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase speed and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Work closely with Inventory Control, Customer Service, Transportation, and other cross-functional teams
• Lead team huddles, performance reviews, and safety briefings
• Support cross-training and peak season surge planning
• Perform other general warehouse duties as needed

Safety:

• Ensure work areas are safe to operate in
• Daily safety walks, callouts, and observations
• Coach on poor safety behaviors and encouraging good safety practices
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work areas
• Comply with all OSHA and warehouse safety rules and guidelines

People Management:

• Communicate and engage with teammates, team leads, and managers daily
• Training, coaching and mentoring associates
• Maintain daily attendance of associates, including timeclock adherence
• Ensure associate compliance with all company rules, policies and guidelines
• Resolving and mediating conflicts or interpersonal issues within teams, and escalating complex issues to management as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of warehouse or fulfillment center experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, handheld android devices
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with physical demands including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
• Proficient with technology and software, such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack
• Bilingual (English, Spanish), strongly preferred
