The Partnerships Team 

The Partnerships team at OpenZeppelin drives strategic relationships with the financial institutions, enterprise technology vendors, fintechs, professional services firms, and standards bodies that are shaping how blockchain security is adopted at scale. We build and activate the partner ecosystem through which OZ's security audits, advisory services, open-source smart contract libraries, and security operations tooling reach the institutions and developers who need them most. We operate cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions Development, Legal, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure partnerships are structured well, activated quickly, and deliver measurable commercial impact.

What you'll be doing

OpenZeppelin is expanding its partnerships function and looking for a commercially driven Senior Partnerships Representative to help source, develop, and close strategic partnerships across our target verticals. You will work directly alongside the Head of Partnerships, owning a pipeline of partner opportunities end-to-end - from first conversation through to signed agreement and initial activation. This is a role for someone with good commercial instincts and strong execution discipline who is ready to grow into a larger partnerships remit.

• Source and develop new partnership opportunities across crypto-native projects, fintechs, and institutions.
• Own and progress a pipeline of partner deals across all stages, from prospecting and qualification through to commercial negotiation and close.
• Build and maintain working relationships with business development, product, and technical counterparts at partner organisations.
• Develop a strong understanding of each partner's business model, strategic priorities, and how OZ's offering creates value for them and their clients.
• Help structure partnership frameworks - referral, co-sell, integration, and joint go-to-market - that align incentives and drive measurable commercial outcomes for both sides.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams - Sales, Solution Development, Legal, Engineering, Services, and Finance - to coordinate input, manage dependencies, and keep stakeholders aligned throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Work with Solution Development and Engineering to shape integration and technical partnership proposals.
• Support the Head of Partnerships on pipeline reporting, forecasting, and contributing to how the function evolves.
• Represent OpenZeppelin at industry events, working groups, and partner meetings.

You have

• 3+ years in partnerships, business development, or sales at a technology company, with experience contributing to multi-stakeholder commercial deals.
• Sound commercial judgement: you can qualify opportunities, identify where value sits, and prioritize your pipeline accordingly.
• Comfortable engaging a range of stakeholders at partner organizations - commercial, product, and technical - and adapting your approach to each.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate technical complexity into commercial narrative and vice versa.
• Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity - this function is still being built and you will be expected to contribute to how it takes shape.
• Experience in blockchain, fintech, financial institutions, digital assets, or enterprise technology is a strong plus.

• Exposure to common partnership structures - referral, reseller, co-sell, integration - and a working understanding of how they are negotiated.
• Commercially aware. You understand what a good deal looks like from both sides of the table, and you think beyond the signature to the relationship that comes after.

The Financial Institutions Team

The Financial Institutions Team at OpenZeppelin drives the adoption of security solutions for financial institutions moving onchain. As tokenization and digital assets gain momentum, we partner with the world’s largest institutions with industry-leading security audits and battle-tested open-source smart contract libraries.

Our mission is to generate revenue through best-on-class security services while building innovative solutions for a rapidly evolving market. We operate cross-functionally with Pre-Sales, Partnerships, Ecosystem, Project Delivery, and Legal to ensure a seamless go-to-market strategy and flawless execution.

What you'll be doing

As our first dedicated Institutional Sales Lead for the APAC market, you will be instrumental in executing our go-to-market strategy - from outbound prospecting to deal closure - while laying the foundation for a scalable sales organization. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the full sales cycle with financial institutions, from lead generation and prospecting to contract negotiation and deal closure.
• Leading discovery conversations with key stakeholders - including C-suite executives and internal Solution Architects - to surface client needs and compellingly articulate OpenZeppelin's value proposition.
• Applying a consultative, solution-selling approach to diagnose complex institutional challenges and map them to tailored OpenZeppelin security offerings that demonstrate clear business value.
• Driving revenue growth in the region by consistently meeting and exceeding your sales targets.
• Identifying strategic partnerships in your region to generate qualified leads and accelerate deal velocity, then handing off to our Partnerships team at the right moment.
• Staying ahead of rapidly evolving market trends and competitive dynamics to proactively shape outreach and positioning.
• Representing OpenZeppelin at key APAC and global industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
• Maintaining accurate pipeline forecasts, tracking performance metrics, and continuously refining your sales approach using data-driven insights.

You have

• 6+ years of experience in enterprise or institutional sales, with a proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets.
• Deep understanding of Web3, digital assets, and the tokenization landscape; hands-on experience in the crypto industry is a strong plus.
• Residency in the APAC time zones - Singapore/HK are preferred.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the gravitas to engage C-suite and senior decision-makers.
• A well-established network within the financial services or blockchain ecosystem, including founders, executives, and industry leaders.
• A data-driven mindset combined with the creativity and adaptability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment.
• AI-native proficiency.
• Demonstrated success working in a remote-first, globally distributed team.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• An existing network spanning TradFi asset managers, hedge funds, market makers, custodians, and financial intermediaries.
• Experience rapidly generating and testing new sales motions ("fail fast") and distilling learnings for both clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong acumen in GTM engineering or AI-powered sales tooling.
• Technical background or familiarity with smart contract development, especially in Solidity.
• Fluency in Japanese, or Korean.
