About the Opportunity

This is a hybrid onsite position. Candidates must be in the Bay Area, CA.

We're looking for a Senior Visual/UI Designer to join the Visual System Team — the team responsible for how OKX looks and feels across every product surface (Mobile + Web). You'll work at the intersection of brand expression and product design, crafting the visual layer that makes OKX products feel distinctive, coherent, and trusted.

This isn't a role where you receive a finalized wireframe and skin it. You'll be involved early — shaping how features are visually conceived, how brand moments are integrated into product flows, and how visual systems scale across an ecosystem of products used by millions.

You'll work within OKX's Visual Systems infrastructure alongside the Design System and Content System teams, contributing to scalable visual frameworks — illustration guidelines, motion principles, iconography standards, and brand-in-product patterns — that raise quality across the entire product.

What You’ll Be Doing

Design product visual experiences. Create high-quality visual and UI design for OKX products — spanning trading, wallet, payments, and social features. Own the visual execution of key product surfaces, from concept through to pixel-perfect delivery. Balance beauty with clarity in a domain where trust and usability are non-negotiable.
Contribute to visual systems. Work within and contribute to OKX's visual systems — shared illustration styles, motion tokens, color systems, iconography, and layout patterns. Your work should strengthen the system, not create one-off exceptions. Think in terms of reusable, scalable assets, not just deliverables.
Use AI tools in your design workflow. Actively integrate AI into your daily practice — using generative tools for ideation, exploration, variation, and asset production. You're expected to experiment with AI-assisted workflows and bring what works back to the team. This is a core part of how we work, not an optional extra.
Bridge brand and product. Translate brand direction into in-product visual experiences. Work with the Brand Design team to ensure that visual identity is consistent from marketing to core product — same palette, same sensibility, same quality bar.
Collaborate cross-functionally. Partner with product designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure visual design decisions are grounded in user needs and technically feasible. Participate in design reviews, give and receive critique constructively, and communicate your rationale clearly.
Pitch and present. Propose creative concepts to team leads and stakeholders. Articulate the reasoning behind visual choices — not just what you designed, but why it's the right solution for the user and the brand.

What We Look For In You

4–6 years of experience in visual design or UI design, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong craft, attention to detail, and modern design sensibility across digital products. Mobile-first experience is essential.
Fluency with AI design tools — you actively use tools like Midjourney, DALL·E, Figma AI features, or similar generative tools in your design workflow for ideation, exploration, and production. You don't just know about them; you use them to work faster and think wider.
Strong visual craft — typography, color, composition, layout, and a keen eye for detail. You deliver pixel-perfect work and care about the micro-interactions and polish that separate good from great.
Experience contributing to or working within design systems — you understand tokens, components, and how individual design decisions connect to a larger visual language.
Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools. Ability to produce high-fidelity prototypes that communicate motion and interaction intent.
Solid understanding of human-centered design principles and how visual design serves usability, trust, and emotional connection — not just aesthetics.
Clear communication skills — you can articulate design rationale, present to stakeholders, receive critique gracefully, and collaborate with non-designers.

Nice to Haves

Experience designing for fintech, crypto, or trading platforms — you understand the visual language of trust, precision, and data density.

About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Design Director of Visual Systems to own the visual language, creative quality, and brand coherence of OKX's product experiences. The core mandate: build and scale the visual infrastructure that ensures brand intent translates into what users actually see in the product.

Build the visual systems layer. Define and maintain the visual language that governs how OKX looks and feels — spanning illustration, motion, iconography, color, typography, and layout. Architect these as scalable, programmable systems that integrate with the broader Design System and Content System, not as one-off assets.
Bridge brand and product. Build a working model between Visual Systems and the Brand Design organization — one based on co-creation, not handoffs. Translate brand direction from go-to-market campaigns into in-app experiences, so users encounter one coherent visual identity from landing page to core product flow.
Set creative direction. Bring a strong, opinionated point of view on art direction, design rationale, and visual storytelling. Own the creative bar for product and campaign work. Ensure the visual systems you build encode this point of view so quality scales beyond your direct involvement.
Lead and grow the team. Mentor and develop visual designers across experience levels. Raise the standard from tactical asset production to systems-oriented, concept-driven design. Hire well. Create a culture of craft, critique, and creative ambition.
Build reusable creative infrastructure. Design scalable templates, token-driven visual frameworks, and component-level creative guidance that the team can deploy across evergreen campaigns, product launches, and growth experiments — reducing rework and increasing speed without sacrificing quality.

8+ years of experience in visual design, with a portfolio that demonstrates concept-driven work, art direction, and brand-led product design — not just execution. Experience building or contributing to visual systems, design languages, or brand-in-product frameworks is strongly valued.

We're seeking a Product Design Director to lead the design vision for Orbit — OKX's social layer connecting traders, creators, and communities. Define and own the design vision for Orbit: Set the north star UX for social trading, live streaming, KOL/creator tools, community spaces, and the social feed — translating strategy into design roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
Lead design for high-impact social features: Ideate, prototype, test and iterate on experiences such as trade sharing, copy trading signals, live stream overlays, follower/following dynamics, community creation, and reputation systems.

About the Opportunity

What You’ll Be Doing

Deeply understand business objectives and user needs, collaborating closely with product, development, and marketing teams to translate qualitative and quantitative research into innovative design strategies and solutions.

Spearhead the design of growth-oriented products or marketing initiatives to improve user conversion and engagement rates.
Work collaboratively with UX research, UX writing, and brand teams to collectively shape the overall design vision for the business domain.
Collaborate with global teams in a multicultural context, participating in cross-regional projects to ensure consistent and high-quality user experience delivery.

What We Look For In You

At least 3 years of experience in consumer facing internet product design, with preference given to those with experience in large platforms, complex systems, or global products.
Strong visual design skills, an eye for aesthetics, with a keen sensitivity to detail, capable of delivering pixel-perfect, high-fidelity design drafts.
Experience designing for growth products, user conversion flows, and user acquisition/retention mechanisms, or having participated in product design for marketing initiatives.
Proficient in user experience design methodologies, with a deep understanding and practical experience in user research, A/B testing, and usability testing.
Strong cross-team collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to drive projects to completion while balancing user experience with business goals.

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a Product Design Director, Growth to lead the next phase of our design evolution. In this role, you will:

As Growth Design Director for Onshore Exchange & Pay, you will lead the design discipline driving high-impact growth levers across our trading and payments platforms. You will own the end-to-end design strategy for acquisition, activation, engagement, retention and monetisation funnels, and scale the product design team globally.
You will partner across product, growth, analytics, engineering and content, and you will bring a data-driven, user-centred, and growth-mindset to design a world-class experience in the fast-moving crypto-financial frontier.

What You’ll Be Doing

Define and own the design vision and growth strategy for OEX & Pay product lines: set objectives (e.g., activation rates, retention lift, pay-product adoption) and turn them into design roadmaps.
Lead the design of high-leverage growth experiments: ideate, prototype, test, measure, iterate. Work with data/analytics to extract insights from funnels and user behaviour.
Scale the product design team: recruit, mentor, coach senior and mid-level designers. Build a high‐performing “One Design Team” across geographies.
Define performance frameworks and ensure accountability for measurable outcomes.
Establish and evolve design systems, patterns and processes to support rapid experimentation and consistent execution across global markets.
Advocate for clarity-first and locally-relevant design: maintain brand coherence, but optimise for local market conditions, languages, cultural nuance.
Collaborate closely with product managers, growth marketers, analytics/data teams, engineers, compliance & security to ensure design decisions align with business, user and regulatory goals.
Ensure that design work is deeply user-centred: drive user research, UX testing, usability studies, qualitative & quantitative feedback loops.

What We Look For In You

10+ years of experience in design leadership and management, with a track record of building and scaling teams.
Extensive experience designing for financial products, preferably in trading, fintech, or payments.
Strong ability to hire, mentor, and retain top design talent, fostering a culture of excellence.
Deep understanding of human-centered design principles and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the complete product design process from inception to execution, driving the entire journey from demand insight to high-quality implementation, creating intuitive, trustworthy, and aesthetically pleasing user experiences.
Deeply understand business objectives and user needs, collaborating closely with product, development, and marketing teams to translate qualitative and quantitative research into innovative design strategies and solutions.

What We Look For In You

At least 3 years of experience in consumer facing internet product design, with preference given to those with experience in large platforms, complex systems, or global products.
Strong visual design skills, an eye for aesthetics, with a keen sensitivity to detail, capable of delivering pixel-perfect, high-fidelity design drafts.
Experience designing for growth products, user conversion flows, and user acquisition/retention mechanisms, or having participated in product design for marketing initiatives.
Proficient in user experience design methodologies, with a deep understanding and practical experience in user research, A/B testing, and usability testing.

Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of relevant industry experience in a Product Design, Interaction Design, or UX Design role, with specific concentration in design systems, data visualizations. etc.
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams of Designers, Product Manager, Engineers, UX Writers, and Researchers
Familiarity of designing for multiple platforms including native and responsive design
Systems thinking and experience building robust Design Systems and components in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Framer
Well versed in basic web development including HTML, CSS, and Javascript
Strong knowledge of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and Google’s Material Design
Experience using qualitative or quantitative data to inform and measure the impact of the work
Results-driven and adaptive to changes
Ability to mentor other designers on IxD, Design System, and patterns

Nice to Haves

Experience designing for Fintech, Investment platforms, or Crypto products
Experience working with teams across offices and timezones
Understanding of React framework for Front End development
