Octus's Fundamentals Analyst program offers a structured entry point into financial data and credit markets for hard working, intellectually curious, and motivated candidates. Working within the Fundamentals platform, you will spread and standardise financial statements from debt issuers into Excel-based models, build and maintain capital structures, calculate credit metrics, and ensure data quality and consistency across our coverage universe. You will develop a solid grounding in financial statement analysis, accounting, capital structure mechanics, and credit metrics through hands-on, detail-oriented work. You will contribute to a collaborative and action-oriented team environment.

Please note that for the first six months, candidates based in Bogotá will be expected to work a 7:00 am – 4:00 pm local time shift to support training and ensure overlap with the European team. Working hours will subsequently normalise to a 9:00 am – 6:00 pm schedule as the analyst ramps up and becomes fully autonomous in their role, although occasional early starts may still be required on an ad hoc basis thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial reporting documents including earnings reports and presentations, offering memorandums, lender presentations, credit agreements and other
• Prepare detailed financial models including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Capital Structure, Relative Performance metrics and Ratio Analysis.
• Build and maintain a coverage universe of financial models that are updated quarterly or monthly and for key events
• Leverage AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and support problem solving in day-to-day analytical work
• Participate in ad hoc projects to improve the quality of the data set and our data products

• Graduates with degrees in economics, accounting or finance

The Operations Associate (Deal Term Analytics) will work within Octus’ Deal Term Analytics team and be based in our Bogotá office. The role is ideal for someone who has graduated university and is interested in learning within the financial services, legal and/or data sectors. It will appeal to an enthusiastic person who has a desire to learn and thrives in a growing, dynamic environment.

This is a critical role supporting the coverage of Octus’ Deal Term Analytics product, which is the data backbone of Octus’ covenant analysis services.

Responsibilities

• Tracking the syndicated loan and high yield bond primary markets using multiple proprietary data feeds
• Review deal documentation to identify key features 
• Create database records for new transactions
• Ensuring strict adherence to compliance processes related to private documents
• Permission entitled clients to private information
• Maintain records of market coverage
• Partner with Octus’ covenant operations team and legal analysts to minimize Deal Term Analytics’ time-to-data.
• Collaborating with commercial team to provide excellent client service
• Liaising with offshore data team and London/USA teams on workflow and data initiatives, when required
• Collaborating on, and leading various administrative and operations projects

The Operations Associate (Covenants) will join Octus’s Global Covenants team and be based in the Bogotá office with remote work flexibility. This role supports the operational delivery of covenant analysis and data to Octus clients globally.

The position is ideal for a recent graduate who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in gaining exposure to financial services, legal documentation, and global credit markets while working with international teams.

The associate will play an important role in coordinating client queries, managing internal workflows, and supporting the team’s operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track client queries related to covenant analysis, ensuring requests are properly logged and routed to the appropriate teams
• Monitor and follow up on the status of requests across multiple Octus teams to ensure timely responses
• Maintain accurate internal reporting and documentation related to client queries and workflow processes
• Ensure strict adherence to compliance procedures related to confidential and private financial documents
• Coordinate with the commercial team to support high-quality client service
• Liaise with offshore data teams as well as London and US colleagues on workflow and operational initiatives
• Monitor fixed income and credit market deal flow and organize related documentation
• Support legal analysts, credit analysts, and journalists with operational and administrative tasks related to editorial content and data projects
• Assist with operational projects and process improvements within the Covenants team

The Data Operations Specialist role at Octus is responsible for supporting the everyday operations of our company, including managing our email notification service, documentation processes, and virtual file organization, as well as handling support inquiries.

• Review and process incoming document/deal alerts and deliver to client
• Maintain and update document control systems and databases
• Support in providing input and guidance in document control systems and procedures
• Organize virtual files and folders 
• Respond to inquiries related to client requests and support

Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.

The estimated salary for this position is $75,000,000 COP.

The actual compensation will be at Octus' sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
